You are very well spoken, explain clearly, and can recognize when a topic/concept would be hard to understand for a newer person. Even my college professors can't seem to wrap their head around the last one lol. Could see you being a music teacher
was gonna say the exact same thing. I was so confused when he didn't add the kick with the snare and hats but it makes perfect sense. this man was living in 2020 in 2014
+Ian Alessandra Hi! This was actually just a video my fiancé ( VImusicnc) did for me for a project but I will def. ask him to post more videos. This was just something he was playing around with thus he has a lot more to offer. Thank you and look forward for more to come!
the mpc 500 is the worst for saving beats sequences programs and song sequences. to be honest it's like a ritual. is there anyone that can explain what to do slowly & clearly..
Thanks bRo you made it so simple ...Toll' Stellar Tut... you got me in ^^ Im done m@n im gonna get a really cool MPC to start tweaking this old school shit
How's the pad sensitivity on the mpc1000 compared to the NI Maschine? I'm struggling with the latter a lot having to hit really hard even though the sensitivity is at max
preacher: dear lord have you tried save your beat on this machine....it's totally ridiculous how about drum sequences or song mode saving is seriously wrong on this machine...is there an angel that can clarify this Bs
BenbanksTV So I guess when you click the mouse and play keys on your midi keyboard, that's not using hands? It's all about results. the method doesn't matter. Bless up.
To me it's like having an instrument in your hands. Sure you can download a guitar app but it doesn't feel the same, it doesn't inspire me to create like having those drum pads in front of me. Yea, the work flow is not as quick as a computer, this is still 90s tech, only thing really that has improved since then is memory and data storage. Was disappointed CF cards disappeared from the store shelves but with jjos2xl we can use 8 and even 32gb cards. Takes years to fill those with, few MB of samples here and there
we need to clearly understand how to save our beats on the 500 as it's BS on this machine..save seq save pro save entire pro save sng could someone please save my time...before I get rid of this machine just because of its long-winded saving seq. everybody needs to know this yet there's mention of this major problem. also we need a clearer understanding of the song mode ie : repeating sequences to come in at certain bars in sng mode.
Even they will tell you to read the manual, read it over and over. The 500s manual is bigger than the 1000s. And I Have JJOS2XL so this video doesn't even apply, I have to read 2 seperate manuals.
Like your video but your doing it opposite the way most people do their drums most people do there sample first then add the drums all together boom bap.
You are very well spoken, explain clearly, and can recognize when a topic/concept would be hard to understand for a newer person. Even my college professors can't seem to wrap their head around the last one lol. Could see you being a music teacher
i'm 3 minutes in and you're already making my MPC seem way more accessible. Good work.
Yes. Straightforward and informative. No fluff, love it. Thanks
this is one of the best tutorials on youtube by far
I’ve been debating buying a mpc1000 and your video has convinced me to do so big ups g!!!
Great tutorial. Probably the clearest and straightforward on youtube.
Glad I watched this video. I don't even make hip-hop or have an MPC. But putting in the kick last... yeah... definitely going to try that.
Ooooohhh adding the kick after the samples is super smart. I've always overthought my kick but that's really good advice... I'm try that from now on!
sonikmuff same here!!!!!
Yes, you have more flexibility with kicks than snares in their placement.
was gonna say the exact same thing. I was so confused when he didn't add the kick with the snare and hats but it makes perfect sense. this man was living in 2020 in 2014
Co-sign. We never stop learning!
I guess it's kinda off topic but does anybody know a good website to stream newly released movies online ?
Good job. Your video is clear and very easy to understand. If you do more I will watch. Excellent job.
how the hell do you save on this machine. to much Bs just to save a beat or song... does any anyone knows how.?
Bebe McNichols go to mode -> save then scroll to entire memory 2 and save it to a folder in your hard drive or memory card
Magnificent job of braking it down.
Best tutorial so far 👌👌👏👏
Thanks dude I'm gonna try this kick layering last trick it seems like it beefed up this beat a lot
shift 10
Thanks for this fam. This has to be one of the most informative mpc vids for beginners on youtube. lets see some more beat vids real soon.
+Ian Alessandra Hi! This was actually just a video my fiancé ( VImusicnc) did for me for a project but I will def. ask him to post more videos. This was just something he was playing around with thus he has a lot more to offer. Thank you and look forward for more to come!

Why not set the Program to "Mono" in the upper right corner instead of setting every individual sample to "Mono" plus put them into a mute group?
Wow it's Years since I used the AKAI os. forgot what it' was like. been using JJOS for so long now.
still relevant... good work, thank you.
How would you play in a fat bassline with different notes?
awesome! u make it look so easy.
the mpc 500 is the worst for saving beats sequences programs and song sequences. to be honest it's like a ritual. is there anyone that can explain what to do slowly & clearly..
Well this isn't the 500, this is the 1000.
Does this apply for 2000XL too?
This is so fucken sick, is there a video of you connecting your turntable to the mpc. i wanna make beats like that
Thanks bRo you made it so simple ...Toll' Stellar Tut... you got me in ^^

Why you did not time stretch your sample to accommodate the bpm?
Thank you 🙏
i need help to load the instruments onto the 16 pads...…. I am a beginner.
Cool tutorial homie@!
Is the only way to get a sample is from a vinyl?
Well done
Why are you turning the nob when you was placing the sample on the pad
Hi! do you use some software? make some more videos! :) do you pitch your drums?
hey i have no slice option, do you know why?
Can you use the same technique on the mpc2500?
Thank you for such a good tutorial video. Very simple and to the point. I subscribed
How's the pad sensitivity on the mpc1000 compared to the NI Maschine? I'm struggling with the latter a lot having to hit really hard even though the sensitivity is at max
I have a question I have a bunch of drums on a flash drive how do I get them on to mpc
Very good bro
Thanks my broo !!!!
yo,what's the major difference between this and the original big boy unit besides the memory storage.
The original unit is a 12 bit machine whereas everything from the 3000 and up samples 16 bit
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice
dope video. how did you hold the camera tho?
lol. my wife did
That waa great
can u make a song mode video
+Amos Peterson Hi! I will ask my fiancé (VImusicnc) but I am for certain he can. Thanks for viewing and please stay tuned!

preacher: dear lord have you tried save your beat on this machine....it's totally ridiculous how about drum sequences or song mode saving is seriously wrong on this machine...is there an angel that can clarify this Bs

no, I turned to the dark side and got maschine
Are you on jjos?

not bad dude and thanks
Ah comeon, I never ever used the original MPC1000 os , I didn't know that it had that japanese chick a la mpc 4000. Damn
I think if you master this technique all will become easy
everybody wants to know how to save our beats and sequences in sng mode clearly
dope beat! but man this way on a mpc seems alot longer than just using FL or logic, not that im bashing your work.
BenbanksTV So I guess when you click the mouse and play keys on your midi keyboard, that's not using hands? It's all about results. the method doesn't matter. Bless up.

This is the 1000 not the 500, check out mpc forums for some 500 tutorials
