Yes, in my area I can still pick up BBC Radio 4 and RTE broadcasts from Ireland on LW. Sadly, the AM station count is getting less, with Absolute Radio being the latest to stop broadcasting on MW in January this year. Thank you for your interest and comments. Glad you like my radio.

Lovely example of this wonderful radio. I am also a collector of vintage trasistor radios an get a great deal of satisfaction bringing them back to as they were in the day. I am amazed you have the brochure for the Debonair.

@@terryblackman6217 Hello, thank you for your interest and comments. Yes, it is an addictive hobby, but like you, I have great satisfaction in preserving these old radios. They played a great part in connecting me as a teenager to music. Transistor radios being portable unlike the previous valve sets, they were the tool that brought pop music to the masses. They all seemed to have character and individuality in design.
