@Yuan Pramayuda iya mas waktu saya kecil lelenya makan langsung dari jamban yang "plung plung" makanya saya gak mau. cuma pas di Jogja aja baru berani nyoba 😁

Thank you for coming to Indonesia, that is still a small part of the culinary wealth in our country and there is much more that you have not yet explored, success is always for you, I hope that one day you can visit Indonesia again to hunt for Indonesian culinary delights.
I'm from Yogyakarta, n what's amazing with Luke is that he tried traditional foods that's already there since my grandparents childhood era,,, which me n some this generation don't even like,, example I don't like Rujak or Jenang, bubur heheee

I live in Jakarta, but everytime I visit Yogya, Ayam Mbah Cemplung (12:42) is a MUST VISIT! Love the friend-tender-aromatic chicken plus the garlic sambal. The best! Great video, Luke!
Jogja is full with amazing food for sure but make sure you also visit Solo and Semarang. The ayam goreng Mbah Karto in Solo is also legendary and is our President’s favourite. In Semarang you should try soto kudus Mbak Lin and Gudeg Abimanyu. I think you could find these both at the same spot at Taman Kuliner Ventura, If I remember it correctly

As an Indonesian, I'm ashamed to say that despite the many bakpia pathok I have eaten throughout my life this is the first time I've seen how it's made so thank you for showing us! And also, 25 is the most popular brand, as there are many bakpia pathok producers in Jogja. Probably one of the reasons why people were fighting for the fresh ones because it's just that good!
You have to visit other islands, not just Java, Bali and Sumatra. Explore other islands, especially the eastern Indonesian island. Lots of food and diverse culture
That manual processes are part of what actually preserves the original taste. They can't replace it, otherwise compensate the taste. I am Javanesse. I brought my 'layah-uleg2' just to make original taste of sambal to the US. Those tools cannot be replace by a metal-made tools. Taste much differs and not original sambal anymore.
