@@ASWCo09 I may be one of the few alive who had seen in person "I'll remember you" by BOTH the composer, the late Kui Lee circa 1967 AND Elvis, 1973, both in Honolulu.
Did I ever say this man playing ability is Excellence along with that Gorgeous Gibson ,Guitar Scotty Moore would be so Proud I have a Feeling he could here it in Heaven !
Man do I love that palm muted sound... I’ve went from metal, to Zep, to The Beatles, into Bob Dylan, now it’s time to start digging back into the 50’s!!! -96’er
You sure are good. A master. This goes to show Elvis was a down home country boy and Scotty was playing souped up country licks to fit Elvis's style and moves. And the kids just ate it all up. I first heard this stuff when I was 8 years old , in Cuba and it changed my life forever. Still love it and you bring it all back. Thanx a million. And thanx a million to Scotty, the original.
I have watched this video over and over, I never get tired of hearing it, You are a great player and you have nailed that vintage rockabilly Sun records sound, right down to the original guitar Scotty used in the beginning,Gibson ES-295, not to mention the thumb pick technique. Thank you
Masterful!! As good as it gets. Scotty lives on in you. Not just the right notes, inversions, also the touch, the sound, the finesse. You have set the bar and done me and guitarists everywhere a great service. I will be watching and studying this for years to come. Thank You.
It’s great to be able to see these classic solo’s being played and the craftsmanship that’s involved. These guitar solo’s are timeless and will always live on. Thanks for letting us see what’s really going on … 👍👍🎸
Amazing... 🎶👍. Your sound is just so crazy... whish brings us back to 1955 at the Sun Records Studio with Sam Philips and others futures stars. Thanks a lot for your lovely talent. Salutations from France. 👋
Joel you are a ACE player now i wont be able too stop listening to you over and over every week keep playing you will be Appreciated by a lot of people
I had the pleasure of meeting Scotty on several occasions, one in his studio during the late 60's in Nashville, were he showed me the solo on Hound Dog and again when he owned "We Make Tapes", in Nashville. Having said that I want to congratulate you on both your your ES295, your echo plex sound and style of playing Scotty's solo''s. A great tribute to an icon. Thanks again J/p

i gotta say i really love this roots style of playing. Scotty Moore with Elvis was probably the first electric guitar i heard as a kid. still love it. the melting pot of Les Paul/Chet Atkins jazz licks..mixed with country and blues... just timeless. and your playing is spot on
You are truly an inspiration to all of us who admired Scotty. I had the fortune to work with him a few times in Nashville at his studio. I ask him to show me the guitar solo on Hound Dog. It took a couple of swigs off the old bottle, but he finallyremembered. I'm was truly blessed and thankyou again.

Hay veces que un solo pulgar arriba se hace poco...Genio...me llevó en el tiempo a un verano que devoré ese primer disco de Elvis, junto a Scotty, Bill y Fontana...
Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Scotty Moore. The first great trio guitarist of the rock era. Also a fabulous catalogue of work for the aspiring player. Very generous of you to put it together.
I once asked Scotty how he came up with the solo for That's Alright Mama. His answer? "It was a mistake." If that was a mistake, I never want to do it right again! RIP, Scotty.
What would it take for today's musician to PAY ATTENTION to these kinds of wondrous music. Salute to Scotty!

Elvis meeting up with scotty was perfect timing, just like lennon and McCartney meeting, the stars all in perfect alignment
For Elvis it was. Scotty got totally boned by the Colonel on the money and was forced to leave soon after.
I had the honor to see this gentleman perform live and got to meet him after the show. A very kind person and talented musician
Unbelievable playing.
In my humble opinion this is a lot more impressive than shredding. That tone just makes you want to MOVE!!
CHlEFFIN ...I can shred but I can’t do this
I agree 100%. I could listen to this style all day.
Shredding is for people who are not Musical....
you can't hide behind loads of distortion and effects why you play old school....
@@oddjobtriumph1635 I had that conversation with my brother just today - shredding is non-musical.
