      @@ASWCo09 I may be one of the few alive who had seen in person "I'll remember you" by BOTH the composer, the late Kui Lee circa 1967 AND Elvis, 1973, both in Honolulu.

      For Elvis it was. Scotty got totally boned by the Colonel on the money and was forced to leave soon after.

    I had the honor to see this gentleman perform live and got to meet him after the show. A very kind person and talented musician

    Unbelievable playing.
    In my humble opinion this is a lot more impressive than shredding. That tone just makes you want to MOVE!!

      Shredding is for people who are not Musical....
      you can't hide behind loads of distortion and effects why you play old school....

    You sure are good. A master. This goes to show Elvis was a down home country boy and Scotty was playing souped up country licks to fit Elvis's style and moves. And the kids just ate it all up. I first heard this stuff when I was 8 years old , in Cuba and it changed my life forever. Still love it and you bring it all back. Thanx a million. And thanx a million to Scotty, the original.

    I have watched this video over and over, I never get tired of hearing it, You are a great player and you have nailed that vintage rockabilly Sun records sound, right down to the original guitar Scotty used in the beginning,Gibson ES-295, not to mention the thumb pick technique. Thank you

    Masterful!! As good as it gets. Scotty lives on in you. Not just the right notes, inversions, also the touch, the sound, the finesse. You have set the bar and done me and guitarists everywhere a great service. I will be watching and studying this for years to come. Thank You.

    I had the pleasure of meeting Scotty on several occasions, one in his studio during the late 60's in Nashville, were he showed me the solo on Hound Dog and again when he owned "We Make Tapes", in Nashville. Having said that I want to congratulate you on both your your ES295, your echo plex sound and style of playing Scotty's solo''s. A great tribute to an icon. Thanks again

    i gotta say i really love this roots style of playing. Scotty Moore with Elvis was probably the first electric guitar i heard as a kid. still love it. the melting pot of Les Paul/Chet Atkins jazz licks..mixed with country and blues... just timeless. and your playing is spot on

    You are truly an inspiration to all of us who admired Scotty. I had the fortune to work with him a few times in Nashville at his studio. I ask him to show me the guitar solo on Hound Dog. It took a couple of swigs off the old bottle, but he finallyremembered. I'm was truly blessed and thankyou again.

    I can honestly say that you have magic fingers and after a stressful day at work you manage to lift our spirits with your amazing talent I can only dream of being able to play the guitar in the way you do . You are truly amazing at what you do keep putting a smile on our faces and a rhythm in our hearts .

    great playing spot on .scotty is a big influence on all rockabilly players wether they no it or not along with the master gradey martin another unsung hero.pure class pickin sir ive played this stuff 30 odd years still cant make my thumb do that .i tip my hat to you keep on rockin from stoke on trent uk .

    I once asked Scotty how he came up with the solo for That's Alright Mama. His answer? "It was a mistake." If that was a mistake, I never want to do it right again! RIP, Scotty.
