Dear @Pankaj, in the Go-Back-N ARQ Sliding Window Protocol, the receiver does not send acknowledgments for lost packets. Instead, the sender re-transmits the lost packet upon timeout.

Shouldnt the no of bits for sequence numbers be ceil(log(2+2a)/log(2)) because you said the total sequence nos = |ws|+1 with 1 as the ack.
