- As much as Sharona loves creative writing, she definitely has no desire to be at the centre of the drama... or case.
Season 3, Episode 6 "Mr Monk and the Girl that Cried Wolf": After several frightening and mysterious encounters with a blood-soaked man that no one else can see, Sharona begins to doubt her own sanity and is given time off to restore her nerves, but is there something more sinister afoot?

Monk Synopsis: Adrian Monk (Emmy®-winner Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk becomes obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds... even milk. Monk's condition costs him his job, but he's back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life. These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer). Her less-than-subtle prodding keeps the "defective detective" on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force.
The Official Channel devoted to the brilliance of DI Adrian Monk; the defective San Franciscan detective, whose OCD is both a blessing and a curse. We'll be posting the very best moments from the show so, like Monk, you'll never miss a beat.

I like how Monk just quietly whispered “Help me” 😂
"SHE'S WONDERFUL...help me.."
4:35 I love how Stottlemeyer just tossed Randy the keys without saying a word. As if to say “She’s your problem now.”
Is the usa so stupid they dont have autopsies ads standard for unexpected deaths?
Its weird how how diff areas do it differently, here there would be one automatically! Then again in usa they just mainly shoot people so not hard to work out!
Wokeness is older than people think - as the visible discomfort of the characters in this clip from a 2000s show demonstrates, it's not a recent development for it to be "racist" to object to someone's poor manners and entitlement if they are black. White Americans have been second-class citizens for a very long time.
Funny how Niecy Nash (Varla), asked if Disher and Stottlemeyer were pretend cops, when she plays/played one in Reno 911.
And recently on The Rookie too!
And they play ones on Monk.
Why not just wait until Sharona finished the class to kill the husband? The amount of times I have thought about past teachers are next to none. If their spouse died, my first thought would not be OMG THEY KILLED SOMEONE BASED ON THE STORY I WROTE!
The criminal's vanity always causes them to make a tiny but fatal mistake. In another episode, later in the series, the criminal decided to kill his wife (who was a college friend of Trudy's) by making it look like a suicide, so he patterned their time at the college reunion off of events described in a suicide note she wrote while in college. It was stupid, anyone with two brain cells to rub together would have seen through it, and he was caught before he could even go through with his plan.
I felt so bad for Sharona in this episode, followed by feeling bad for Monk because him and Varla were not a compatible pair.😥
I shudder to think anyone is compatible with Varla.
@@jase_allen Varla and I could be work or school associates in small doses.
@@jase_allenwe have a world full of ‘varlas’ and no, they’re compatible to no one but Tyrese.
I really wish Niecy would've came back for another episode. She was great here!
Niecy now stars in The Rookie: Feds.
@@richardinman4091 I know 🙂 thanks btw
you do know Niecy Nash is just her stage name that’s not her real name.
@@justicejakober5506 I'm well aware her name is Carol. Why would I call her that when she's widely known by Niecy Nash?
Imagine being framed as mentally unwell, having your career destroyed, and losing everything, just because someone wanted to cover up a murder.
Shirona played the tired, worried, and upset character very well.
This episode could've easily been called Gaslight. That's exactly what was happening.
She is a good actress, but I will always prefer Natalie over her. Natalie was so much more compassionate and motherly...☺️☺️☺️☺️ And definitely better looking!!!
@@keithbannister9271 I liked Natalie's compassion and patience but sometimes she seemed too patient. Overall I appreciate both assistants but preferred Natalie.
Lol the part of the episode "What you doing/looking at?" "My eyes are up here" Monk looked uncomfortable:)
The black lady made that whole scene. “What are you looking at? My eyes are up here”!
Hahaha, the way the captain tosses the keys to Randy like "You're on your own son"! 😅
Sharona has beautiful penmanship.
I would think that any intelligent person when Capt. Stottlemeyer says, "There have been questions raised about the death of your husband." would play oblivious. Like, okay, you've done your best to discredit the person most likely to testify against you. At least play it cool until it looks like they have a case and she _will_ testify against you. Why play that hand so soon? Looks guilty af.
She knew she was caught but knew they couldn’t prove it. That and she got a little cocky.
I think any police captain would tell her that she’s being formally accused of murder by the police and can’t just shut the door.
As much as I would love a new episode of my beloved serie, I think Monk ended perfectly. I know Im going to miss it when it's gone.
series
A movie is to come called Monk's last case. Hope it'll be aired this year. The whole cast will come back. Good news for you and all of us🎉.
@@scenariosinthedark3969 I know a movie will come out I just think it is unnecessary because the ending was just perfect.
@@DardanielProductions it is unnecessary but it's a nice way to thank the fans for the support over the years.
Years later she became a rookie at the FBI in LA
and before that she was a police officer in Reno
I miss "Monk"😢🇿🇦
Imagine Varla instead of Natalie. Monk would be healed faster than lightning strikes a tree.
Did she call Randy "Dishwater"? Why have I never noticed that? 4:29
@@andyzehner3347 I can clearly hear a t sound. She says Dishwater(Dishwata)
There is a phrase dull as dishwater so I think she was calling him dull. Which is kind of is lol so that's what I think.
@@andyzehner3347 definitely says dishwater
"Dishwater"
"DISHWATER"
It's a play on his last name. Randy Thrasher, Dresher, or whatever.
Shame Varla didn't know Monk when Jeffrey Dahmer was her neighbour.
LOL, he only investigates _after_ the murder, anyway.
Lol, at the black lady. She was bossing Randy around, telling him to take her home. How did she even know that Sharona's original draft was there unless she was spying on them. Missed this episode, wonder where I can find the full version.
she knew because she was picking it up off the ground earlier when sharona dropped a box of her stuff--the crumpled paper spilled out and monk was obsessed with trying to pick it up, so varla (the aforementioned lady) picked them up off the ground so that monk would stop.
"What you doing?" "My eyes are up here"
Three conditions
Forget the other two lol
She was great
I now want to see them all on The Rookie Feds
4:29 "Hold on, Dishwater." Dishwater?
There is a phrase "dull as dishwater" so I think she was calling him dull. And he kind of is and she is not at all dull so that's what I always took it as.
It’s Anya lol
I’ve quoted “my eyes are up here” for probably 15 years now. I forgot I got it from this episode but dang has that come in handy
"I've made my choice." -- Homer Simpson
Lemme see
Hey can you pretty please upload the scene where stottlemeyer is chasing down kaserisnky in the finale
What are you looking at my eyes are up here
Later randy and her got married and that's my head Canon
On a scale 1 to 10 how good is monk.
It would have to be a 10, because it's a round number.
@@jase_allen that is such a dad joke.
20?
I go back and forth between Natalie and Sharona who fit better with monk
Natalie, IMO
@@l.a.3479 Yep. If they would have continued with Sharona I would have quit. Sorry 😔
Natalie is literally just a less ugly, less slutty, and less feminist version of Sharona. An improvement by every conceivable metric.
Sharona, by a mile. Couldn't stand Natalie, sorry.
Sharona was exactly the kind of influence that Monk needed in his life. Her approach facilitated positive self-improvement and reformation of his hindrances, and she never enabled his unhealthy behaviour. Under Natalie's wing, Monk became a bit bumbling, more self-focused, entitled, and jaded, and he did not treat her with enough respect. (The wheelchair episode for example was almost unwatchable for me. Unhealthy/toxic behaviour from Monk, fully enabled by Natalie. That would have never happened with Sharona.) I don't believe Natalie was the best influence on him for positive character development.
Granted, facilitating personal growth and improvement wasn't what she was being paid for. However.... if you're asking about a better overall "fit", I feel inclined to factor in the general impact she had on his character, and I was thoroughly unimpressed with her on this score.
Monk and Sharona had a more comfortable, friendly dynamic, being on a first name basis with each other. Natalie always maintained a professional distance, calling her employer by his surname.
Monk and Sharona's characters were also written as complementary core opposites to each other. The core of Monk's character is *_fear,_* characterised by his phobic disposition, paranoia, anxiety, circumspection, and scepticism. The core of Sharona's character is *_audacity,_* characterised by her bold/fearless disposition, feistiness, tenacity, and impulsivity. BOTH Monk and Sharona were phenomenally good influences on each other. Sharona pulled Monk out of his comfort zone to confront his fears head on (via her own lack of fear), and Monk pulled Sharona back whenever she was about to dive into something that required careful thought and consideration (via his own fear). They had a very symbiotic yin/yang relationship that made them an impeccable fit working together. Each character's core weakness was the other's core strength.
On the other hand - because Natalie was largely characterised by her perky effervescence and sanguine optimism, when she was paired with Monk, it ended up drawing more attention to Monk's dismal pessimism, melancholy, and dejection by contrast. Whereas in Monk/Sharona's dynamic, the contrast created by their characters drew more focus on Monk's fears/phobias against Sharona's bull-by-the-horns attitude. Ergo, I'll not only say that Sharona was a better fit for Monk; but I firmly believe she was a better fit for the show, since the entire crux of the series (as per promotional advertisements and even the show's theme song) was Monk coping and dealing with his various _phobias and compulsions,_ with depression on the side. The later seasons with Natalie felt more like Monk coping and dealing with depression, with his phobias and compulsions on the side. Not something I enjoyed watching as much.
Good show.😉💯
isn't she from the Rookie Feds
Does anyone remember Niecy Nash from the show “Clean House”? I saw the reruns and she’s funny in that also.
“Where were you”
“She makes me very nervous”

christ this is cringy... Im surprised they didnt have her do the whole head-side-to-side while wagging her finger, going "mmm-hmmmm!"
That "sassy black woman" character has *not* aged well lol
How? Seems even more relevant today
It only aged because it's not a fat, sassy black woman. Because they are everywhere.
Doesn’t have too.
