On my parrots it has the opposite effect. They start to scream even louder. My guess is they think some bird has entered their space...

I have a pet sparrow that we rescued and raised. He was not able to be returned to the wild and lives with us inside. His name is "Norbu" the sparrow and you can find his story here on TY.
