Mike, alot of those LED plug into a special socket that's hooked up through a transformer. Also, if they're LED, some will have a small driver on it. Those usually aren't supposed to be straight wired to 120vac. Hope this helps. I'm a licensed electrician in FL.
I think these are fine at 120v, those sockets are usually directly connected to the mains.

I'm 59 with 2 artificial knees, 1 is 17yrs old now. Watching him jump down from those dumpster tops makes both of them ache.😂😂

LED 30 is 3000k and LED50 is 5000k color temperature. 3000k is closer to the traditional incandescent and 5000k is closer to daylight.
Yup, I ordered the wrong ones for years.

Mercy was chillaxing by the fan. I plug my fans into a power strip on the wall, and turn it off from the power strip. This way I do mot have to bend down to turn off the fan. Same with the torchiere lamps and printer.
Mercy knows the primo spot in the garage...

They are replacements for a fluorescent light fixture . They are used primarily in recessed ceiling fixtures mostly in commercial applications . I don't even think that there are new fixtures made today that use this style of lamp .

You can buy a single outlet on off switch for a few dollars. Then, you can plug the fan into whichever outlet, flip the switch and it’s off.

I have 2 drop light that take those kind of bulbs and you have to watch applying direct voltage to them cause there is a needed transformer for most of those .
If ya happen to apply the improper voltage to them they will GO BOOM and EXPLODE !

Mike I had a ceiling light that took three of those type light bulbs. At Home Depot they wanted 8 bucks a bulb. I have replaced the fixture.
The yellow cord that you're messing with takes bayonet bulbs. The screw in are called Edison bulbs.

Good follow-up Mike. Those bulbs puzzled me as to what they plugged into.
You can check if the lamps are warm or cold if they have degree Kelvin (K) on them.
1600-6500 K are the LED span.
From warm to cold.
5500-6500K are daylight.

Thanks and I know what it is like to have happen what you are going through (lost both grandparents on dads side), and she sounded like a good person when you said in past having to visit her.
Yeah, those kind of lights using the prongs are not as common anymore but they are out there still being made mainly for commercial use and having LED replace old halogen. Technolgy Connections in UA-cam did a good video on Halogen and LED lights a few years ago during his whole lighting era on whole history of lights series.
