I'm not completely following your question. In this setup, there needs to be 2 diodes coming off the remote receiver unit, one off the white wire and one off the yellow wire. This prevents the solenoid-open signal from back feeding into the directional valve on the opposite direction. The diode between the "R" and the "UP" button on the existing remote is not necessary.
