"OK...I swear, this is going to be my last cast...OK, maybe one more...OK, on my mother's grave, this is going to be my last fish..." Dude, you are such a fisherman! We are all the same.
You have the ability to cast your fly in pinpoint fashion. That bow and arrow cast is very effective.
That cast to the hole by the tree is exactly why I like tenkara so much. Perfectly on target.
Feels good when those casts work out, doesn't it? 😁
Probably the prettiest creek yet!
This was a really beautiful one, for sure!
I can almost feel your excitement through my phone. And I totally know that giddy excitement when you've discovered a small stream with fish and it's like you found this treasure all by yourself.
Seriously unreal back drop. Honestly fishing a place like that and getting nothing doesn’t bother me. That’s for sharing places you only see in movies :)
It was a gorgeous place, for sure!
Not a fly fisherman, but there is something very redeeming about all of your vids...so here I am... 😊
Lol thanks for stopping by! I'm glad you enjoy them 😁
I love how you reply to everyone that comments. You seem like such a cool, humble guy. Here's to wishing you success in life and fishing.
Thanks David! I really appreciate that.
Update: I think I've watched every one of your videos. Subbed, and can't wait to get out to my small native stream here in PA with my new tenkara rod.
Awesome, thanks for watching!
That native at 12 minutes just outdid that desert waterfall brownie in the perfection category. Beginning to get the "drift" of this kind of fishing....!
It's a fun way to fish! (And the browns are wild but not native to this area.)
The fish are so pretty! Scenery picture perfect. Loved this video! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful stream, perfect for tenkara. Such a great way to fish. Thanks.
I agree! Thanks for watching.
I enjoy fly fishing small streams this size in the mountains of East Tennessee for brook trout. Hope someday to get out there to catch some cutthroats.
This is basically my perfect size of tenkara stream. Glad you like them too! Thanks for watching
What a beautiful creek ... I can't wait for summer!
That is judt beautiful country and the fish too! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
It's one of my favorite creeks from the past year. Awesome little spot. Thanks John!
Another awesome trip! These fish were almost as colorful as the golden trout you caught a while back, Beautiful!
Thanks Steve!
Beautiful fish.....beautiful stream.
Thanks 👍
I miss trout fishing. No trout here in my part of Indiana, I fish for bass with my fly rod
What a great stream!
I thought so too!
Great video! Love the channel. I’m considering the same rig. Keep up the great work.
Thanks!
very good fishing nice fish
Thanks Guy
Awesome looking place..it's hard to stop when fish are a pool... haha
Very true!
Hi,
Digging your exploring to many true beauty places.
May I ask what kind model/brand shades you’re wearing in this episode?
Looks like perfect wrap-around type I’ve been looking for awhile.
The infamous “one last cast”.
@tenkaraaddict (or fam) … when you use the “bow and arrow” casting technique are you grasping the fly and drawing back the line or are you grasping a different section of line? If the latter, what stops the hook from whipping upward and sticking in your hand or clothing?
I always grab the hook bend I’m assuming he does the same thing
Excellent video. I live in northern Utah and tenkara fish all the time. I’m not sure exactly where this is but I’ve got an idea. I’m doing my cuttslam in 2020 so I’ll be heading that way. Have you done the cuttslam yet?
Yep, I completed it this year 👍I'm #501 on the list of people who have completed it if you look at the website.
Yeah boy. Where abouts is this? I’m visiting in Denver at that moment. Can’t fish now but I’d love to hit it in the future.
This is in Utah, not Colorado 👍
Well it’s a short drive from Denver to Utah. Isn’t it?
@@docbailey3265 I believe this is in Northeastern Utah. So yeah, it's a good drive from Denver.
Do a video on how to tie the Utah killer kebari
I plan on it 👍
Where in Utah? Not asking for an exact location how about closest small town?
Very interested in tenkara now!
Sorry, but I don't give out creek names or locations. Part of the fun is finding the creeks for yourself!
which wading shoes, waders do you prefer? Enjoying your vids...
I use Softscience Terrafin wading boots and Chota Hippies hip waders
Love your channel. I'm new to tenkara and would really like you to explain what rod, line and fly you use and why etc. Thank you
Check out the gear page on my site (tenkaraaddict.com)
Tenkara Addict .com
Please include a shot of your fly in your future videos
I use the same fly all the time, so that would get old really fast. See the Gear page on my website (tenkaraaddict.com) for a picture and info of the fly I use.
How does the Mazzchi cast
It casts well in the longest and middle lengths and not so great (but good enough) in the shortest length.
Beautiful location and fish. What was your fly?
A Utah killer bug with a soft hackle. It's basically the only fly I use.
Out of curiosity, what type of kebari do you use and size?
Size 12 Utah killer kebari. See the gear page on tenkaraaddict.com for more info.
Doesn't get any better than that.
I agree! Thanks for watching.
I have to be careful Tenkara Fishing. Purists hate me
Mostly either use God Hands EXA .5g or Daiwa Presso Vega .4g Spoon. Sometimes a Custom Dupree Spoon Fly.
Blasphemy! 😁
