Surreal and brilliant. Not just No. 1 & Sarah Siddons but a genuine view of the day. I could almost smell the smoke. Missed the last day of LT steam in 1971 cos of work, missed this too but your vid is the next best thing!
This is best video clip of the 150 years Celebration of our London Underground. Big thank you for uploading mate. As Alway Your viewer and a Loyal West Ham Muhammad the Londoner.
I agree with siggythenewt especially at the end with all those cute girls :D Just out of interest where were Howard Collins and Borris Johnson etc going on that colourful S8 stock?
No, very unlikely to happen again although there will be steam on the outer part of the met later this year, also the engine will be visiting the Bluebell railway sometime to run with the Chesham set and I think coach 353 will visit too..
12:55 No offence to me saying this but they still choose to ignore the fact that flash photography 📸 has been forbidden on the station 📸 because it can cause blindness to the driver and/or even the passengers. Grand trains and sounds by the way👍🚂
Well! I have to say bloody well done! despite the challenging environment with people pushing in etc your shots were professional, relevant and very creative! Most impressed. What camera are you using and who are you lol?
Great record of a fun day out.... your best shot was from 2:10 onwards with a study of all those photographers (interesting in their own right!) and then the powerful sound of Met 1's exhaust as she accelerates through the station....so a big LIKE from me...…☁☁☁⁘⁙☁☁⁙..☁……Hᴜɢʜ….TU…..ツ
It's an ex underground electric loco. Used for reversing the train when it does end to end runs and for shunting. And to help the steam loco occasionaly.

Thanks...I think the Notting Hill Gate shot was the best of the day!
Fantastic footage, thanks!
If i remember rightly it took them to St Pancras where there was an event, the train then formed a service to Uxbridge.

How did people get tickets to ride on the heritage train?
Those tunnels probably haven't experienced that amount of smoke in many many years.

Is this likely to happen again any time soon? I wouldn't have minded seeing this but wasn't able to go on the days I knew of.

It's the only one of the metropolitan railway electric locomotives that is still running
