Love the whooshing noise as these trains speed aswell passby. Its a shame were currently in UK Lockdown and not all the fleet are currently running and are in service. Hopefully soon we will all be back to normal and seeing them all speed through again. Loved the video and look forward to seeing more in future. Have both Liked & Subscribed. 😀👍
it is due to the shape needed to fit the uk's loading guage profile. So the trains on hs2 should make similar sound, once that is up and running/when the 373's are all replaced by trains with the wider european profiel.
the overhead line there is 25kV AC. the only place 1.5kV DC overhead is currently used in the UK is the Tyne and Wear metrolink system. The class 373 sets are capable of operating on 25kV AC, 3kV and 1.5kV DC from overhead line and from 750v DC third rail. also the class 373 is built to the smaller UK loading gauge rather than the continental loading gauge of the french TGV's

I don’t know why the pantograph was DC. The other ones had AC.
