Ever since I played Horizon, I like the bow and arrow mechanics in that game than the TR survivor trilogy. But don't get me wrong, I love Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy.
All the parts are great, but you can clearly tell the difference between the character of Lara in "Rise Of Tomb Raider" than "Shadow Of The Tomb Raider". In "Shadow Of The Tomb Raider" they worked more on the environment and in "Rise Of The Tomb Raider" they kinda gave more attention to the main character development.

Yeah and more pixelated too... i mean, graphics is not too important for game fun and stuff, but... your next generation game doesn't even look as good as the previous one? That should be the bare minimum t.b.h. ... otherwise, why not just use the old engine? Graphics in Rise is great even today... only downside i found were level design and final chapters enemy scaling.
I played Tom Raider on PS3 and now playing it on Ps4. Rise is a masterpiece and Shadow is state of the art in graphics but the first one has a charm of it’s own.
Thanks for the comparison! For me, Rise is the best to date, followed by 2013 and Shadow. However, it's really bold how different the arrow launch is in Shadow. I mean, Lara can keep her arm extended at least 3 times as long as in the previous two games. O.o
While the environments were breathtaking in Shadow, the lack of detail on Lara's model (but oddly her hair looked fantastic, still) really hurt to see. I mean, come ON, her eyes don't shine as beautifully in Shadow now and it just vacant.
We can't compare the water of the Rise and of the Shadow because the first is the sea and the second is a lake, there are different compositions and undulations in the water, but for sure in the Shadow it takes more details, they worked better in it, still doesn't make BEEETTER, just different
I do prefer Lara's face in Tomb Raider: Definitive edition, which was only released for 8th generation consoles. The original PC version was still better in many ways, but for some reason they changed Lara's face in the Definitive Edition and unlike most people who didn't like the change (judging by what I've read around) I liked the new version better. In the original version she has a more delicate and "angelic" face but in Definitive Edition she looked more sensual, like a "caliente" Latina, without ceasing to be, however, very feminine.
i personally liked the 360 version better. When they released the defenitive edition they didnt fix her facial expressions.. makeing her face more flat and no espression. It maked the cutscenes look weired.. the same thing happoned with saints row 3 remastered.. there faces dont have hardly any movement especially in eye brows and cheeks.. they take time to make it look good without keeping the facial movements from before. makeing the face be like a mussleless face.. if shes mad sad or hurt or happy, unless she said she was espressiing somthing.. u wouldnt know what it was.. when she got hurt her face showed it, but defenitive edition its like she dont care and if she hurt her face expression stays the same.. i hate it when "remasteres/defenitive" versions of games usually run into this issue but never fix them..
everytime SotTR comes up with no background music, I laugh. it's so unintentional how funny that is, like a joke is about to be made along with ambient, cricket/bird noises. :P
Tomb Raider is Multi-platform, buddy. It'll be on the Series X, Series S, PS5 and PC. You must be thinking about Uncharted- Yeaahh...I doubt we'll be seeing Nate anytime soon.

Tomb raider series has one of the best looking engine out there. Hopefully for future release they dont use Unreal Engine 5 like any other recent games and stick to their in house engine
To be fair, I’m playing all the game now on Pc’s and no, shadow is way way better in terms of pretty much everything aside from some smokes effect, and the face of Lara is better, but shadow is pretty much ahed of rise
I think in the first few seconds of the video you recorded the Rise of TR with less quality than the Tomb Raider 2013, what would be disappointing if it was the reality, but the rest is ok. 😌 I'm relieved haha
Rise is the most realistic, but Lara's disturbed eye turning, neck turning and face twitching is weirding me out. Why can't she just look around in a slower, more calm manner?
I think they should make a 4th this year (2022) and maybe they should make the graphics way better or just turn it back to rise amd the environment by shadow and make it more free gameplay.

This is about Tomb Raider (TR) vs Batman Arkham City (BAC) game. I have completed Batman Arkham City (BAC) game. The outstanding thing about BAC is the refined combat system. Very fluid and slick combat system. The downside of BAC are ... (1) it is always night time, you don't get to see beautiful sunny city like Spiderman game. (2) bad map system - running around the map with NO waypoint to set (you can set waypoint in the open area but NOT inside a building, which make so difficult to get to a destination). The problem is the map is always facing North (not relative to where you are facing), and it makes it more difficult to visualize which is which direction. Can't they do something like MGS5 game where the waypoint is set in the game-world ? (3) You are forced to play stealth-take down when they are 4-6 thug arming with guns. If you play direct assault combat you will get shot down. Suggestion - ought to be able to use the cloak to block gun shot once cloak is upgraded. The cloak can only block one direction of gun-shot. Currently the usage of Smoke to fight the thugs arming with guns, is too over-powered. Or make a gadget that can be used to pull gun away from thugs (thugs have only 15-25 % chance of dodging the pull, where now BAC's game thugs can dodge 100% of pull when you are fighting them). Once gun is pull away from then they will use shield or shock-stick which is still better as this allows some combat challenge as compared to gun (no combat challenge) (4) Lousy predictable non-creative missions linkage - one event forced and led to another event to create the next mission. Example Batman is poison by Joker and cure is with Freeze. When you get to Freeze and fight Freeze then led to another events - you have to track the Assassin to locate Ra's al Gul (to create next mission). I mean it isn't as creative as TR game which is more realistic whereas BAC mission system is very rigid and not creative. I have completed tomb raider (TR) game about 50% and the map design is way way better than BAC game. The map of BAC is smaller than TR game but BAC have several building that can be entered and play. The bad thing about BAC is that it used the same map area for few mission/quest. Whereas TR used new map area for new missions/quests. The only thing BAC is better than TR is the refined combat system, without the refined combat system, BAC is worth almost nothing as BAC don't have variety of gameplay like TR has to offered. I would give TR a 85/100 (beautiful map, great cut-scene, interesting creative puzzle, combat system is quite refined, map/inventory system is great. Game has variety of gameplay) I would give BAC a 80/100 (if without the refined combat system BAC is worth only 60/100)

I played all three games and I have to say that Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the one I play the least. The 2013 one is my favorite.
They should make something, called “dawn of the tomb raider” it’d be like, if it carried on from where shadow ended, and the whole world became dark.
Shadow is good but Rise is a better great balance between story, action, and exploration. Shadow is good for exploration but something missing there.

Shadow looks amazing but there’s something about Rise that makes it look better.
Rise of the tomb raider had better graphics than Shadows. But Shadows looked more interesting and colorful. Like the originals.
On PS4, Shadows does seem to have an edge on Rise. Gotta get further into them.
