Underworld was great, everything about it was brilliant from the puzzle solving, to the parkour, to the beautiful scenery detail and cutscenes as well as Lara herself. An absolute timeless game. I'll always have my heart for it.

Same, when I was 4 I used to always love watching my uncle play it on our old pc back when it first came out. Had a lot of great memories from that time and I actually played it for myself recently and I'm loving every moment of it.
My favorites are Tomb Raider Underworld and Shadow of The Tomb Raider, then Tomb Raider Anniversary and Tomb Raider 3. The first TR game I played was Tomb Raider 2, so it was a long time ago!
I was so deeply captivated by TR Legend, Anniversary, Underworld... I can't believe it's already 6 years without Tomb Raider! From what I remember, I thought the longest period without TR was after Underworld ; between Underworld and TR 2013 (reboot).... but it is actually now 😢
The reboot of the series was really fantastic. Laura's character felt so alive, more so than most any other character. All of the little mannerisms and facial expressions her character model would make moving about the world,. Little things like wringing her hair out when she'd get out of the water. Even the newer Assassin's Creed games, good as those characters were, didn't 'feel' like a real person more than Laura in the reboot did in terms of how the character model moved and interacted with the world they were in.
I'll never forget playing TR for the frst time back in 96. I was blown away by it, the music, the adventure and even the graphics at the time. It's come a long way, with many ups and downs a long its journey. I'm currently playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider on PC on ultra settings with ray tracing. No dbout it's stunning to look at but I feel the game has lost it's way some what. I keep coming back though. Great compilation, well done.
It's true that today's games are very beautiful, but there's nothing more to them. The developers only focus on the visuals. The first and second Tomb Raider are my favorites even today. It looks ugly to today's eyes, but the atmosphere and the music that played sometimes made up for everything. I'm sorry this is the way the gaming industry is headed.

I mean, seriously, playing it for the first time thanks to the remaster I'm amazed at how good the game is. And honestly, even though I mostly play on the remastered graphics, when switching I think the old graphics are honestly really good, especially for as old as it is

The reboot games lost the core gameplay of the previous great parts: non-linear gameplay and complex puzzles. Now its just linear cinematic adventure. Its not bad, but faaaaaar from the first Lara adventures. Completely different games

It's a crying shame that we're not gonna get another TR game with classic Lara thanks to the faux claim that she's not appropriate for "modern audiences". What a magnificent sight it would be to see her with modern day graphics!
