This is not 'Georgia on my mind', this is philosophy, entertainment, transcendent and virtuosity packed into one fundamental song ever made. Thank you.
Lewis Paulo Which genre has the potential to be most technically challenging? Most of the serious pianists I know are classical players. Although I've always knows jazz in general houses some of the best musicians ever.
The two most important facets of classical that can be directly applied to jazz are the ability to read staff sheet music and the exercises that strengthen the hands and wrists such as scales, triads, etc., You can play standards and jazz without reading staff sheet music. However, good jazz musicians all read staff sheet music which many times has arrangements built into it.
I don't know how it happened.. but I looked up Hugh Lauries version of Georgia on my mind on chordify. I found out somebody had done it..it was me..I think I'm playing it on guitar. My site is primarily piano. Just a funny thing That happened.
7notemode sir, I can’t begin to express what an inspiration you are to my piano playing. Nothing and no pianist inspire me to work on improving my abilities the way your videos do. Thank you and God Bless you.
Really great feel on this as well as great expression while staying in total control of dynamics and maintaining exceptional pulse. Mixing all those wonderful bluesy lines with arpeggios and glisses - terrific. Great post 7NM.
I have listened to this arrangement dozens of times. It is masterful! I wish you would publish more. The arrangement is awesome, just perfection! Your playing is also perfection! I would love to hear you live.
I am always amazed by the singing quality of the real instrument. Samples, like Ivory, are wonderful, but nothing compares to the real thing, especially in the hands of players like you. Really enjoyed your performance!
S Krehlik download load on tube mate.. it's now on playstore for free.. you can store it on the cloud and put it on your SD card if necessary.. I am going to do that
its not really the question to play as well - its if u can enjoy what U are playing and if it makes sense for u - if someone else even likes it - even better - music its not sports - its MUSIC my friend - have fun !!
As always, very beautiful!!! you post the best jazz improvization on YT. I like your style, technique and of course the harmony :) Looking forward to new posts. Good luck
7notemode the most intricate, talented, truly amazing piano playing I’ve ever seen on UA-cam!!! Your abilities are beyond reproach! I’m literally in awe!!!
i listen to/play every genre of music; metal, hip-hop, classical, jazz, blues, screamo, EDM, etc... you get the point... this. this is God send. from those who don't judge but show appreciation, thank you my dude.
I have been listening to your videos for at least 12 years, most of them multiple times, and I remember thinking how wonderful it would be to be able to play piano...I played guitar and bass in dance bands for many years...well, sir, about 3 months ago I decided it was time to start learning piano. I can see this is going to take a while, but since I'm a few weeks short of 80, I feel like I can accomplish a lot on the new journey. Thank you for inspiring me and hundreds of others with your playing and sharing. God Bless....
Hi 7note!I'm french and I really want to thank you for your wonderful music and your passion for teaching.I watched your tutorial too and..it's just perfect, one of the best on youtube, you deserve at least 1million views! Now thanks to you i could show off with my friends aha ^^
Absolutely beautiful! You are a great pianist, one of the best I've seen on UA-cam (or anywhere else for that matter). Please post some more of your stuff.
Excellent version!!! Your use of dynamics thought out tells me you’ve been playing a long time. Exceptional!!! And I love the broken stride and rootless voicings. Just great playing young man !!! I will save this and enjoy forever. Hopefully i be learning that tune soon? Thank you.
I've been playing all your old vids for so long, I've just about worn them out! Thanks for a new post. As always, it is a joy to listen and watch you bring the songs to life.
I love how smooth your fingers move over the keyboard; it gives me a very real image now of what it means when pianists "caress the keys". Thanks for letting us all hear such wonderful playing for free here on UA-cam. :)
I always enjoy listening to your videos and sometimes instead of watching them, I like to sit on my bed with headphones in and click on any of your vids and close my eyes, it makes me focus on your playing and your emotion and creative intention if I must say. Your like the Bill Evans of the internet! ha ha XD
nothin' but oooohs and aaahhhhhs, man! And thanks for printing your changes - in the usual key of F. Love your touch. Piano is quite bright. Possibly the Zoom, also. HAD TO SUBSCRIBE.
I've started making a few videos of my piano playing. And I'm impressed by your video. First of all, it's very difficult to play a piece perfectly, especially one of this length and complexity. Second, taking a video with decent sound and a good view of the piano is very challenging. Excellent job.
it has a really cool sense, im loving it to bad i don't know anything from piano i would love to play something so soulful well any way, congrats it just has that sweet sound
Beautifull !!! Very soothing with occasional "spot hitting" runs. But i would like to hear more of the melody of "georgia on the mind". This is basically just solo on the same chord progression :) anyhow, very nice !
Phenominal playing as usual! Really enjoyed the nice laid back bluesy feel you gave it. I'm in awe of your talent. I'm trying to muster up the courage to put up a video or 2 myself. I'm feeling very inspired.....Thanks!
This is not 'Georgia on my mind', this is philosophy, entertainment, transcendent and virtuosity packed into one fundamental song ever made. Thank you.
This is hands down the best rendition of this song on UA-cam.
I play classical. This is on another planet, I wish I had this in my pocket. Incredible stuff
Some famous jazz musicians started with classical, so anything is possible!

Whenever you start, you'll make progress from there. The key is to enjoy playing at every level you're at!

This makes me want to go for a smoke on my balcony. And I don't smoke.
I'll join you! Maybe a vape?
Dean make sure to get a fat rip
Me too - and I don't have a balcony.
Although you don't smoke, bring them cigarettes anyway, I smoke
May this video never go away ... it's been in my favorites for a long time and I still love it. Wish I could play even just near as well.

It's great, simple, clear. A nice Georgia....Thank you.
What places him into that top level of musicianship is not his phrasing but how clean he is. This is above remarkable
I love it! It gives me chills. You are amazing! Feels like i'm in a small cafe in the middle of NY ;)
What a beautiful rendition of the classic standard! Thanks so much!
Absolutely wonderful.

Can't believe I just found this now. Truly amazing. You turned this song into liquid soul dude.
