THESE OLD GEEZERS, WILL BLOW AWAY ANY OF THE YOUNG PUNKS OUT THERE TODAY......WHAT A GROOVE
Smokin' hot, bout all you can say...love seeing Reese Wynans on the keys...
it's about time someone covered this super underrated Clapton gem.
Joe knocks it out of the park!
I'm a long time Clapton fan and have only recently discovered Joe and like his version better.
@@hershel_van6546 always loved this song. You are spot on..Just a great job 2 cover this !!
ua-cam.com/video/qGXyh0qz7xs/v-deo.html
Great version here, Australian band from the 70s
Agreed! Written by guitarist George Terry who was in EC's band for much of the 70's...
@@hershel_van6546 That's pretty sad.
You’re blues song joe I’m 76 years old and I don’t do anything but go to your concerts been listening to you for very long time
Definition of a musician, the lot of em
Nothing short of great!! As good or better than the original...
OMG! What a wonderful rendition of an Eric Clapton gem!
Written by the great George Terry, I had honor of playing with George around 1980, about the time he left Eric's band.
Wow! Would love to sit down and have a beer with u.
El gobierno
What do they sing on the kind of bridge part just before the solo, please?
@@guitariste47 Shoot A Main Line.
I'd love to just shake your hand 👌
This man is a genius
That was an awesome version Eric would be proud and Reese has some groove what a keyboard player!!
He was Stevie Rays keyboard player.
I was already a Joe Bonamassa fan, but that keyboard player is awesome, and looks like he's having the time of his life.
T Dalb Reese Wynans from SRV and Double Trouble! He’s amazing.
He probably is indeed having the time of his life, and deserves every second of it.
@@PaulYeager56 Hell yes!
Dude is incredible,
It's great to see someone doing something so well, and enjoying it all the while.
A realization of purpose and joy.
He's my favourite keyboard player too, I first saw him playing look at little sister with SRV and my Uncle told me it was Eric Clapton playing the keys and being a kid I believed him (they did look kinda similar back then) years later I still get teased for this 🤣🤣 he's awesome live too 💙 👍🎹
I believe the keyboard player use to play for Stevie Ray
I think the U.S.A. needs to issue a Reese Wynans postage stamp. Guy is a national treasure.
Reese looks so happy to be playing with another great band. It shows in his playing and on his face
They are the best I been follow Joe since THE ROTAL ALBERT HALL CONCERT CAN WIT TO SEE HIM AGAIN IN TORONTO IN NOVEMBER
Reese rocks!
And Reese is clearly having a great time!
I love this song. Go Joe
These musicians are extremely talented.
One of my favorite clapton songs. Covered superbly by joe.😍🙆♀️💖
It may sound like blasphemy but I like this version more than Clapton's.
Hate to bust your bubble but that’s a George Terry song
What else could you say except WOW!!!!
All band mates firing on all cylinders....vocals included.
Surprisingly few covers of this great song, and this is brilliant. Thanks Joe.
That bass player has the coolest bass face - he's really into it!
Michael Rhodes phenomenal session player.
@@howardjohny Really? He does the job, but he's remarkable? Extraordinary?
That's former SRV Double Trouble keyboardist Reese Wynans on the Hammond and Nord. Seventy years old and playing like he was in his 20's. Saw Joe with this band a few months back and there were phenomenal.
Rhodes and Fig are 64 & 65 respectively, love the work these "old" guys produce. Great song.
Not to mention, fig, was with David Letterman late night band! I've watched Anton Fig my entire life lol, I always thought he was awesome one drums, even as a late show drummer, (they got to play it all I guess). Just too good!!
TheBent139 is
I'm 70 and still rocking, that ain't old.
The entire band is incredible. I saw them in New Hampshire earlier this year
First cover of _this_ song I've heard in 45 years! Very nice!
Excellent ❤
I've got to watch and listen to this video every couple months.
Just makes me happy.
Now I'm a Bonamossa Fan!
I love the fact that eric is favorite of all time! U can really tell in his playing
Reese Wynans and Anton Fig "The Thunder from Down Under!" are probably having the greatest time of their lives playing with JB.
I knew that drummer looked familar. Lettermans band
Anton's playing his own signature Yamaha snare drum, one of the best sounding I've ever heard.
Holy crap Joe - you are a legend - keep the blues alive!
What a band!
What a great Version of a great tune ..
HO- LEE - SHIT!!!! What a phenomenal cover of that George Terry song!!!!
I'm there, 2nd row from the front. Lucky it didn't rain. Great night.
Where was the show?
joe and the best band on the planet!!
I love how Joe plays what needs to be played instead of filling it with notes which he has proved that he is more than capable of doing if he needs to. A well musically matured musician.
I can see how he's matured musically . He used to be way to busy. I can definitely see a change in letting the song breath .
too.... sorry Mate
Joe does it like no other!!!! Does the crowd have a pulse? No way I could just sit still like that with Joe playing like the guitar god he is. I'm old, but I'd be rockin. I'd prefer a smaller venue, so I could move to the music. I might be escorted out if I got up out of my seat here. lol...My favorite performance is "Live at the Rockpalast", Joe, bass player and drummer, what a trio rockin, casual attire, no background singers, no keyboard, just those three rockin the house!! I had to buy the DVD.😎🥰
Joe is a top five player 👏 no question about it he can play any type of style and most important he plays with his heart and soul tremendous
I could listen this and Motherless Children off this album over and over. Great covers from Clapton's 461 Ocean Boulevard gem.
Great rendition of this song...Ol' Reese beats that organ into submission...JB does his own thing while still keeping the classic line of the song. This band is as tight as it can be.
UN(f'n)believable rendition!!!!
FANTASTIC!!! Wish i had 1 ounce of the talent they all possess !!!! Dont forget the 3 songbirds . best backups in the biz !!!
That's right!
The whole package!
Love it.. Wonderful Clapton's rendition
Anton Fig "The Thunda from Down Unda" on the drums!!
Steve Allbritton - thanks for calling out Anton Fig. I always enjoyed seeing/hearing him on Letterman. In the early years, Letterman referred to him as Anton Zip
Damn, Anton lookin' like yo' grantfauver.
Every member of Joe's band kicks butt!
Pure magic..a overload of talent..Rock on Joe!! You're my best medicine. lol
I remember seeing this guy when he was 14 from utica New york
Remember this guy was a child prodigy he knew he wanted to be a great guitar player he became one
Jus remember this guy's favorite player is clapton! He was also a child prodigy recording with jimmy page at 18.
I've watched this 500 plus times. Hey JB, you need a few more shows with Rus brother. You guys together are magical. Don't get me wrong, Josh has no bigger fan than I. It's be nice to see Russ as a sit in on a couple of classics. Cheers Team
I love how happy Reese looks. Jamming like a puppy with two peters.
dang kept thinking the organ grinder was gonna have a heart attack! seriously these guys are great live
Great Choice, Great Song, Done Outstanding! It was my favorite song off the original cut on 461 Ocean Boulevard cir mid-1970's. I still love to hear it played
Wow.💥
Such a great version! JB and his band rocked it.
This is a tight unit 🎶🎶
An excellent cover doing justice to this total classic! Joe and the guys totally rocked this!!
Such a more clear clean version GREAT JOB JOE AND THE BAND!!!!!
It doesn't matter who covers it I never get tired of hearing it.
This version rocks!
Thank you JB for that fine recipe of this great song by George Terry. I'll be coming back for more.
Cleanest player I've ever heard, never hits a bum note. Joe Satriani is my favourite, but no one plays as clean as this guy
John Dawson Winter could give him a run for his money
It's always a pleasure to hear Joe and Les Paul, great
It doesn't get any better than this!
I thought the keyboard
player Wes Cliff from cheers for a second.....BONAMASSA ROCKS
Nov 10th in St. Louis--can't wait to finally see Joe B--and his phenomenal band. My fave of the moment and for life!!! Always been a blues girl from way-back.
What an epic rendition of this song!
Thank you Mark
Thank you for doing a song about the state I love
I’ve been watching this video trying to figure out who the awesome keyboard player is- Reece Wynans who played with Stevie Ray Vaughan! It just hit me tonight! What a lineup
Yes Sir !
Completely Bad ASS !!!!
Some fantastic keyboard work from Reese.
Best fathers day gift from a Son
Love hearing Joe.....Live
Such a clean, crisp, accurate player with mind blowing skill and feel. Great cover this one flew under the radar for far too long. I want that Les Paul 😬
Michael Rhoades. Fantastic bassist. RIP, gawddam you were good.
He Makes My Day W) His Music, Yes He's Phenomenal & Then Some Love This Band
love the upside down angled Marshall cab
Ian Anderson seems sketchy as hell
No hate that.It suppose to sound better where you standing but i would rather have it the"normal"way because it looks better and its more stable.
Clapton would be impressed with that killer rendition
Harmonies are perfect. Line up for these songs is perfect. Can't wait for the Blu-ray.
That was awesome.
Sounding great Joe !
Fuk Yes!
Well covered JB 👌 you do it with ease...its a pleasure to listen to you 🎸🙏💜🤌
Cannot wait for that British blues CD to come out,. Still looking for the Black coffee one...🎸🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🎸👍🍻🍻💞
We were lucky enough to get tix - Joe and the band were as tight as ever, and the weather was kind...just!

Awesome ...tight band and great to see Reese Wynans with a great band .
I could be hallucinating but I seem to recall Eric once saying this was his favorite… regardless this is one tasty knock off. This song brings back memories.
