I think joining contests can be worthwhile as long as one doesn't get their hopes up - considering we're often up against THOUSANDS of entries. If we look at it as just an opportunity to get more eyes on our work and a way to help us learn and grow as artists, I think that's probably a reasonable way to approach it without getting our hopes up too much. I'm working on an entry for the Webtoons Call To Action contest and, while I think it would be nice to win a copy of Clip Studio Paint, I kind of don't want to win, because sometimes winners attract a lot of hate from people who are sore losers as well as people who liked other entries better than yours and feel angry that their favorite entry didn't win. I don't know if I could handle it emotionally if a bunch of angry people started attacking my work because they felt that I didn't deserve to win or are mad because something they liked better didn't win. So I'm just kind of hoping I get a lot of people to read my webcomic and hopefully enjoy it. That's what will make it worthwhile.
A growth mindset is good to have cause in the long term it will make you better I love your mindset and something I would love to talk more about I think it would be helpful to many creators !
@@VandelMarchenStudio That would be great if more people had that, as you put it, "a growth mindset". :) It would be cool to see you make a video on the topic.
Something I don’t get with a lot of these manga UA-camrs that talk about contests is they never talk about writing a story even if there is no contest announced. It saves so much time and you could really work on your story and get yourself a high-quality one instead of sitting around waiting for contest happens and then starting to work on one when the deadline is announced three months away which is incredibly stressful. Save yourself the time and stress and start working on one before a contest is even announced.
Is the contest no more? I’ve tried to resister and nothing is happening, I cannot enter my comic on the site. I don’t know what to do. If you can get back to me as why it’s not working I’d be much appreciated.
Are you interested in hiring any assistants? If not how should I approaching other manga authors. I would like to make my own manga one day, but like to gain experience as a assistant if I can
Yo! I'm participating in in your manga competition and was wondering how can I claim the prize as a minor, I don't have a bank acc and want to surprise my parents so ( assuming I hit top 3! ) how can I claim the prize? and since I'm in a team they need access to it as well...
That will be discussed with the sponsor also check the rules for that should be there always check that but first make sure you get your submission. In without 50 entrants there won’t be a prize
Loved the vid you guest appeared in on Monitor's channel, and glad to see a follow up with him as a guest on your channel! You guys rock!
Thank you so much !

That’s true only thing that sucks is if there is a theme of the contest or you did too much or too little but being prepared is never a bad thing.

@@VandelMarchenStudio just to make sure, the prize for the 3 placements will only be claimed if there was 50 participants?
@@pochita7004 Yes that is the case I will still judge any entries that come in and maybe scrounge some prizes together we will see what will happen.
I know this is damn but
Can someone be who wants to be a manga writer become a manga writer without having any drawing skills
You can it’ll be hard tho but it’s not impossible
