I dont think it is generally accurate, just got the glass broken by simple dropping off and replaced it with a new one. It broke really bad.

I slipped and fell down twice with my MiA1 with the glass hitting the floor hard from around 1m height bt I was surprised to see that the glass is intact with no cracks or scratches.
r g did you have any tempered glass or protective film? And how about protective case?
Eddie ,phone didn't have any screen guard on but had a plastic protective case. It didn't survive the recent fall though, from a greater height now the glass has a small crack. :-(, but I must say that this glass is much stronger than my old le co le 2 and my Samsung phones which didn't survive even minor impacts.

And dude scratch test is done by scratching different hardness material with the screen. Gorilla glass can resist upto 6H. Steel has hardness no. 3H, how do you expect it to get scratch.

Bro ur tests are gud it will be more effective if u place mobile on table than do hammer test. In real life scenario we won't be hitting mobile while holding in hand. Do same tests when mobile is placed on table and not in hand.
these will be some shock resistance on ur left hand so test it on the table or floor might have different results
Not satisfied because when it falls from height the impact is much more as compare to your strike secondly you are hitting only im keypad area where the chance of impact after falling is rare. You should hit on side a bit hard

But worked for a year before blacking out.
Display glass is very weak from sides.
If a shock is hammered to the sides of the glass, I'm sure this glass is gonna crack all over it.

My Mi A1 got a scratched screen the second day I used it. Not very bad, just light scratches, but still annoying, as the phone was new and I didn't do anything other than carrying the phone in my pocket. Some specs of sand must have gotten into my pocket. Otherwise I don't understand why I got scratches.

Test is not reliable. To see the REAL impact of variety of tools you've used the phone must lie fixed on the even surface. What you have done is a test how good your holding the camera hand is doing as shock absorber. The effect would be the same even if you hit the phone with 5kg hammer.
