- This our charity Christmas Advert for 2020 which features our Staffordshire Bull Terrier Charlie. We made an alternative John Lewis Christmas Advert 2020. This is the happy ending version. We wanted to give staffys the best representation that we could in this video. This song/advert is dedicated to everyone who has faced hardships
in 2020. With this song, we hope to raise money for multiple charities that support the elderly (Reengage and Friends of the Elderly). We were inspired by our own hometown Sir Captain Tom Moore’s charitable efforts to raise money for a brilliant cause. With each £0.79p purchase it will help give
support & companionship to the elderly who need it most in 2020. This Christmas Advert Concept for John Lewis was filmed to show the bond between humans and dogs. Many elderly people rely on their animal family for their wellbeing. This is why with every £0.79p purchase of our song “Don’t Let Me Go”, 100% of the money will be donated to charity.

Hello everyone!
Many of you saw my alternative Christmas Advert which featured Charlie (Our Staffy) and my dad. My video was met with very mixed reactions. Many people said they loved it, but many others were left really upset. My intentions were never to upset anyone and I filmed the original ending before the current global situation. I had hundreds of requests to do an alternate happy ending. Luckily last night it snowed, so it gave me chance this morning to film the ending that many people really wanted to see. Even though the majority of viewers understood the message I was trying to convey in the original ending (that we might be reunited with our loved ones), I understand that many people don’t want to deal with anymore upset. So hopefully this ending is more endearing. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported the charity single, I believe we sold over 1500 copies in one week and I will know the final figures in January. If you know anyone who was upset by my original ending, please share this video with them. Let me know which version you prefer? Happy early Christmas to everyone!

Oh my, I am a massive fan of the original, but I swear this one made me cry buckets more than the first. Either or, you are very talented and should be very proud of both videos. I think you actually brought the happy ending one out just at the right time to be honest.
I saw the 1st version, and got upset, I lost my Border Terrier (Bertie) 3 weeks ago died of kidney failure was only ill for 3 days, he was my best friend and my shadow followed me everywhere,for 13 years, he may not be at my side anymore but will always be in my heart, i love the video and the song

My dog passed away this year. She was called hope and I can’t express how much she looks like this staffy infact im convinced it’s her and I am a big believer of big man above. Thanks for the visit hope ❤️❤️ my baby girl

I lost one of my bichons ..pebbles …2 years gone October at 13 years old ,and I lost my other baby bichon ..betsy 2 weeks ago , betsy was 11 ,I can’t stop crying ,and hope people who see this who havnt got or had a pet ,realise the love between pets and owners ,it’s a very special bond ..I said I wouldn’t have anymore ,because it’s too heartbreaking when you lose them ,but after watching this ,I’m reminded of how much love and joy they give you ,and am now seriously considering getting 2 more bichons ,Iv even picked there names ..bubbles and Bess ….

I've cried with the original ending and cried with the happy ending. I have a staffy he is a rescue, he is 10 years old and I can bear the thought of losing him. I'm very emotional after watching this video. Thanks Sam for making it, our pets love us unconditionally and they should be loved and be happy by us.
I have a staffy called poppy just like yours your song came on my tunes last week as I travel all over the country with my faithful companion poppy I pulled in at the services in floods of tears and this lady asked if I was ok I replied no not really this song reduces me to bawling my eyes out as a ex rugby player night club door man and biker I don’t cry at nothing

I saw the original just a while ago and I'm so happy you filmed a more overtly happy one as well! What a lovely dog! Your Charlie has such a great smile! My boy is a quarter staffie and he's got some of the same lovely energy as Charlie here! I do think this video conveys even more the hope of being reunited with loved ones, while ending on more of a "feel good" note. Thank you for this!
We lost or darling 15 year old staffy kiki in the early hours of Boxing Day. I am heartbroken and don’t know how I will get through it. She was my soul mate, my best friend and my shadow. My mum told me last night that this video had randomly been on her tablet, it popped up and we watched. I truly believe it was a sign from my Kiki, she even had the same markings as the beautiful staffy in the video. This song is now giving me so much comfort. THANKYOU 💔🥺

Saw the first version and cried. But after watching it a second time I realised that it was a happy ending as both were still reunited in the end. This I do like all though it is more of a fairytale ending. First is still my favourite though as has more emotion and truth. Keep up the good work, you are a genius x

Sam I love this version! BUT I do prefer the original as it makes you realise so much about life. Its not under the tree but whos around the tree. We dont know what we have until its gone & in hard times like this we should say I love you everyday & hold our loved ones so tight because you just never know whats around the corner. I loved both and cried with both. The sad version is of course sad because not only does the dog die but the owner too but the happy version is tears of joy and relief at finding Bruno again.

When I see how much these companies put into making a Christmas video, then read how much you spend making a real tear jerker of a Christmas video, that actually has a message, rather than just selling their products, I think they wasted their money with their big productions
They should/could have a competition as to who can make a real Christmas video, but not just focusing on their products, but on what Christmas means to ordinary people
I have read that one company spent £800k making a Christmas video, and in my opinion it wsnt very good

It's taken me this long to comment because before your song became available I had recently lost my best friend Wendy who I rescued and she and was a dog in need and watching your song/video even now brings me to tears to my eyes. I watched this after watching the first one. I went to pieces when he put the lost dog notice up. I lost my dog in August 2019. He shared the same name as the dog in the video.

my dog just died a coupel of days a go and this song really helps me just cry it out you know we were both born about a week apart and i was turnign 15 in a coupel weeks and he was about 14 and he just had a tumor in hsi stomach and didnt make it

True, but not everyone thought it was a happy ending. So I had to make a more conventional happy ending.
I could not share the original. It broke my heart and made me cry so hard. With all the sadness this year, I feel like that was not the ending we need.
I am sorry, I never wanted people to get too upset at the video. Thank goodness we had some snowfall earlier this month so I could film this new ending and try and fix any sadness the original video caused. Thanks for watching.
