That's one of the Band Maid hallmarks, that pop vocal treatment among all the rock/metal/heavy/fusion elements from the guitars and drums. Makes them unique in their ability to seamlessly integrate all of that into a banger of a song.
Saiki did something she hadn't done before at 4:21 ~. No one mentioned it but amazing vocal control and she mailed it live at both sacramento and Anaheim.
This song was written by them for the NETFLIX anime KENGAN ASHURA season 2 which is due next month which is more like a full contact martial art genre, this the closing & ending song of the anime. Probably their second anime song they are credited after they did for opening song of the anime PLATINUM END. Kinda explains the very aggressive and fast paced nature & theme of the song, as Miku said in an interview in Lollapalooza - its for an anime.
The Maids SOLD OUT 2023 US & Mexico tour just wrapped up and was a fantastic success. You made new friends, fans and smiles. And so many great live fancams to watch! Their playing and antics were as fresh and fun to experience from first show to last. BRAVO Band-Maid!!!!! In addition, their Japan tour is starting back up with 13 concerts, AND they’re writing and recording for their new album. Their 10th Anniversary Tour concludes at Japan’s 17,000 seat Yokohama Arena on Nov. 26, 2023! The Maids are one of the hardest working super groups in the business! They change their setlist for every show just a little or adding longer/different intro or extend middle section. If you have enough money, you'll end up following them throughout their tours. It's hard to draw a line - but one thing is for sure. Once isn't enough.

That's Band-Maid....blow your face off with hard rock then give you a break with a poppy chorus. Name me a Band-Maid chorus that isn't poppy, That's Band-Maid....plain and simple. But guaranteed that "poppy" chorus is stuck in your head for days.......mission accomplished!
I don't think the chorus in "Black Hole" is very poppy, and if someone disagrees with me, I'll defend myself by saying I was distracted by the sheer insanity of everything else happening in that song.

TV show sponsors have final authority. Within such constraints, I think the extremely hard work of creating great music without losing the spirit of the band would not be possible without Kanami's genius. In the case of a band with top-class sales in Japan, the anime program producer may plan the promotional effect of the anime program and ask the band to create a theme song. . In that case, the production of the song will be led by the band, and the band will have the final decision. For BAND-MAID, whose number of youtube views in Japan is about 1/100 of the number of popular domestic bands, such a form cannot be expected. However, being in charge of the theme song for a new anime program has a tremendous publicity effect. For BAND-MAID, who have to compete with artists belonging to the same label in a fierce "sales" competition, producing theme songs for anime programs is a very desirable job. BAND-MAID, which is not well-known in Japan, has to compete with the rookie groups that copy the K-POP that the company is trying to sell. With BAND-MAID at a disadvantage in that competition, the company stopped releasing the wonderful performance of the "2021 BAND-MAID Christmas Acoustic Concert" and instead released another silly and meaningless "piece". Companies will make such choices. I am deeply moved by the spirit of BAND-MAID, who produce such wonderful works even in such a delicate position. That's what happened until now! ! ! ! Band-Maid offers something for everybody, except for people who are allergic to "poppy" chorus 😂 Oh well, too bad it's part of their signature sound but if you don't like poppy chorus, you can add their instrumentals to your playlist, they definitely will satisfy your eclectic taste in music lol BTW I'm not talking about you cheezy! 😊

3rd anime song, 4th if you include Cluppo. They did a song for the anime Log Horizon as well. The Cluppo song With You was also made for an anime.
