I like the cruise ships that have small areas for different types of food, so there are short and long lines for the different thing but no real long waits because each area only has 3 or 4 related items, and the bigger ships remind me of a vegas buffet.
I will be following your itinerary out of NY but on the Meraviglia. Cruises are a great break from the daily grind for most people. Buffet lines and all. I cruise April 7.

I’ve really only cruised on NCL and carnival. NCL buffet is much bigger and they have really good Indian style food. When we go to breakfast at the buffet my husband likes to go to the omelette station and ask for over medium/ over easy eggs so he knows he’s getting real eggs. He doesn’t like the egg beaters as much as
You should of had the made to order eggs, never take the scrambled egg pile over a made to order option.
Danny, if I may be so bold as to call you Danny, that baloney looking cold cut may be Mortadella. If so, it’s one of my favorite cold cuts in a sandwich.
I make the “Mighty Mort” sandwich by slathering the bottom slice of a crusty roll and then layering it with very thinly sliced Mortadella and topped with either Swiss or Provolone cheese. My mouth is watering just describing it.

It looks like concerning the buffet, "the early bird gets the worm." I'd get there early. Do they have a lunch and dinner buffet? If they do, it would be nice to see what they have.

In younger days I loved Vegas Buffets because I could pig out! Now I'm older and have more sense> I won't wait in buffet lines or put up with slo-pokes!

You need to publish a book about proper buffet etiquette. It would be a best seller on that ship
A good buffet line should be opposite sides with the same items so as to reduce congestions. Guess this cruise ship space is restrictive, therefore only one line. But if you want to serve hundreds of passengers at the same time, there should be two lines so it doesn't look messy.
Sounds like me at every buffet I go to! Why are the people in front of me so slow?! Why do they put food on the plate and change their mind? Thanks for waking up early to take a video of the closed buffet. Hahaha…I’m angry at almost every buffet I go to! People are slow and weird!
Actually the buffet looks to be an OK size to me and I have been in a lot of ship buffets. But Carnival has so many other included food options on these ships, why would you want to go to the buffet anyway? You could eat all you want at five or more other locations with much better than buffet food. Also thanks for the cereal naming legality lesson.
It comes from the Italian method of cold-cut preparation. Put the turkey in a vat and stomp on it barefoot until it is flat. Tap water!

I had powered eggs from a field kitchen during a deployment in the desert while in the Air Force. Once you have them you know what real eggs taste like, those are probably institutional liquid eggs in cartons, real eggs but not very good.
Why get upset? you're on a free cruise, just enjoy yourself, relax and take a deep breath. Not much to do on a cruiseanyways, your're not in NY or Vegas.

Looked like a pretty standard ship's buffet. I always arrive early to avoid the mad scramble for seats & food. I love to order the custom made omelette ( sometimes 2). I try to avoid the busy times as I also start to lose my temper with stupid/ignorant people.

Lucky for me Im a early up person. When in Vegas Im usually at breakfast no later than 7AM and its nice and quiet. On my last trip I made the mistake of going to breakfast at 9AM one time and what a shit show. Never again

I would switch with you and would happily be willing to wait in line for buffet food. The luxury of getting angry at a buffet line versus the daily grind of making a living just to pay for groceries and rent. I guess you are just joking
that sounds terrible, "daily grind" "making a living just to..." that is some sad stuff.. So I will say this: I have noticed that any successful person so happens to be doing what they LOVE.. when you do what you love, there is no grind, there is no "just to".. one example is Neil Degrasse Tyson, he love his star stuff, and talks about it and is very very successful... Anyone who LOVES what they do, success will find them... I will ask you this, if you have KIDS, and lets say you are looking at a DAY CARE CENTER,, you shop around, would you have your kids go to a place where the owner/mgr/workers LOVES taking care of kids? or a bunch of people there for a paycheck doing their grind? doing what you LOVE means that you will automatically be your very best at whatever it is you are doing, because LOVE will make you think about it 24/7, LOVE will mean that the more hours you put into it, the happier you will be... let me know what you think.
