SO APPRECIATE this content - As someone starting/getting into photography, this is one of the most difficult parts of the process. I love to go out on the city and take pictures but have always struggled with the editing process and saving my files before even learning the tools available in Lightroom. SO helpful for beginners!! Rock on Mike
Thanks for the video Mike. The idea with the velcro is genious! I'm on the train a lot and the tables there are very small (if there even are any). It's so annoying when you have the external SSD dangling around or have to stuck it in weird way between the laptop and the train window. Will use your tip for the future :)
Nice tips for workflow. I have a question that goes hand in hand with your video, maybe you'll use this idea for a future video: how do you decide wether to shoot vertical or horizontal, especially knowing you'll post some of the shots on social media? Very curious what're your thoughts on this. Love your videos and your work, man. Keep it up!
I stumbled upon your channel and particularly on this video. It's just nice to see that we both developed the exact same workflow! Keep it up with those sick photoshoots!
Been trying to fix my workflow and file management! Have not been able to find any other good vids or educational tips to bounce ideas off! This was definitely a super helpful vid as it’s take some methods into account!
I like how I was already doing a lot of the same things as you just from coming up with my own method of doing things. I like to rate all the pictures I like as 4 star and then I go through all the 4 stars and change the final ones to 5 and then I edit the 5 stars.
How cool that you have been at the Nürburgring again .. I saw you there but was not sure :-D too bad that we missed ... great Video as always .. hope we'll see the 992 RS Pictures soon ;)
Very helpfull video== But just wondering... What do you do with all the raw files after editing? Do you keep the raws of the one you edit? Do you delete them all? Do you keep them all and always buy new HDD's or SSD's?
You can put air drop in the top tab thingy instead going to share - airdrop not sure what it’s called so it’s no help but you can add it to the top bar of finder.
Some great workflow tips there Mike, ps did one of those North Border stickers find its way onto the Manhattan Bridge fence gap ? Was out there recently & there it was..great advertising 😂 👍
Hi could you pleaseeeee do a video on interactions with people that come up to you while your taking photos. I mean id like to see people get mad and learn from you on how to deal with such people. Its a big thing here in Australia as you may know. people get very angry. especially in brisbane.
Just stumbled across this video, love your work. One question, do you leave all pictures in LR or delete once you have finished? Or do you create a new catalog each time?
Is your laptop new to have an HDR screen? Or XDR as Apple calls it. If it is, have you pressed the new HDR button in Lightroom yet? I have on my iPad Pro and it’s kind of amazing! It makes bright parts of the photo light up while also retaining details. Like it makes the backlighting on your screen brighten up a lot so that things like a sunset or lights on a car literally shines brighter into your eyes and it also shows the detail in those highlights at the same time. I really hope people start using it so it becomes popular! After trying it, it’s disappointing to have to go back to SDR imo. Oh, and nice tutorial and photos btw. :P (I do mean that to be clear.)
How do you make sure that what you see on your macbook pro monitor is the same once you've exported to your phone bro?? So I edit my work on my macbook pro, email it to myself, open and save from email on my galaxy S22 ultra. The colours are never super accurate... the edit on my macbook always looks better than on my phone. Shadows etc are always more lifted on my phone. Images are always more contrasty on the macbook compared to my phone... Any tips??
Appreciate the video bro. I do have a question and it may be a dumb one lol but how the hell do I transfer photos form as to ssd? Much appreciated bro 😂
So just out of interest, how long would you say did it take you to rate these 1300 pictures? And also how long did you spend on editing these 75 (or 15?) favorite images?
Hey Mike, when editing photo's do you go before hand to your Iphone video and take screenshots? Or do you just use the video and pause the scene? and do you delete the photo's you did not rate?

I make use of this workflow all the time, works perfectly!

I think I have learned just about all my automotive photography tips from you! Thanks for being a legend
As your vids name said, it actually simple and effective. Love your tips.

I would love to see a video on this shoot and the editing because I love the style, especially of the 3/4 shot from the rear in the air that you took

I would presume delete them as they would take up a whole load of space and won't be worth using that space aha XD

looking fresh Mike
