Good video as always and I know you know the following, but maybe some could make use of it. It makes for an interesting range trip anyway... You can use a second focal plane scope as a much more "adjustable" BDC with just a little work. At a lower power the holdover generated by using the marks within the reticle is larger. Take that idea and expand on it at the range. Shoot targets at different magnifications using the same holdover point in the recticle...note the impact locations. You just created an adjustable BDC for your gun/round combination. When punching paper for groups, I would goto max magnification and dial elevation(if atmospheric conditions allow). When medium game hunting, I would be sitting with my starting magnification based on expected shot distance...almost always 4x in my world(perhaps from my years of hunting with a fixed 4x). I would also know my holdovers at 10x and 15x. Of course 95%, or more, of the shots I have taken on whitetail have been point and shoot distance...I've only taken 3 shots at more than 300 yards; one drt, one bad hit recovered and one miss. In my childhood, I didn't know what I didn't know...
Great review Joe. Nice looking scope that should fill the purpose of most hunters. The price well you just review them your not on the board of directors . Look forward to more from you.
I'm kind of torn with this reticle... I do really like it when they put a floating dot in the center instead of the heavy cross hairs especially if I'm going to be target shooting but anytime I'm using a SFP optic for hunting I like the cross hairs so I don't have to deal with illumination and I can only assume without the illumination it would be impossible to see the floating dot in this scope. It would be cool if they made this 2 ways illuminated you get the dot nonilluminated you get the full cross hair because this really is in the perfect magnification range for hunting. I have a few of the 3-15×44mm Leupold VX5HD with their Windplex reticle and as of right now they're my favorite SFP optics on the market for hunting. Zero Tech makes some pretty cool optics either way I've had the opportunity to check a couple out and I was really impressed. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Great video. Good God how did we survive hunting 30 yrs ago with just a Duplex Reticle lol ?! Reticles are getting ridiculous but i really like that magnification range.
If you buy any brand of scope in this magnification range don’t buy it unless it has adjustable paraleck,,and the reason I told you that is that Leupold makes one without it and it is foggy as hell over ten power , I sold mine as fast as I could,,make sure to get adjustable pareleck
Cyclops alluded to how affordable this particular optic was and surprise surprise when I looked at some of the pricing of it how quickly I found I was out of My League. If I could ever move out of my local range competitions into something that provided me guns or money as a reward for doing well maybe I could justify it but as a casual less than every weekend shooter of that other scopes I'll purchase first. When it comes to second focal plane it's hard to beat my Redfield 1-9.
Looks great, but I think I've made my mind up to pre order the Tract Toric 2.5-15×44 T plex dot. They will not ship till the end of May on SFP models. Got a Fierce carbon rival in 7 rem mag to put a good hunting scope on. I like the ZT retical better, but I think the Tract Toric schott glass and turrets are better. What's your opinion?
That's pretty cool scope. I recently got to review a low budget scope that is similar. And when I received it there was a chip on the inside of one of the lenses.
Nice solid scope there fella, from a company I've never heard of! :-) I'm a SFF man myself as I mainly hunt using 6 to 8 mag, on FFP scopes I find the reticles just too fine to pick out with trees as the backdrop etc.
Thanks, Joe. Glass origin, please? The image looks really clear out on the edges - no blurring. BTW the gram to ounce conversion is 28.3495 grams per ounce (for us folks ignorant of metric system). So, the scope weighs just over 26 ounces. This reticle would be useful for range out to 300 yards with MPBR.
What is the built in elevation moa capability of these scopes? The scopes that I use now are 85moa and with using Area 419 30moa rails, I get 115moa capability. This is for long range work with my rimfires... Thanks for profiling this Aussie scope my friend! By the way, have you had the time to tag Buffalo? :)
Joe another great vid. I do have a Q off subject as I have watched all your reviews. Im getting ready to set some good glass on an FX Impact so who has the best glass: Tract Torric, Delta Stryker or Element Nexus.
Can I mention how the viper second focal is dope AF on cyclops video?? The scale it to medium magnification and have a detent to lock it in place for usage like a FFP
Great video. I am working on my dream rifle. I purchased a Christiansen Arms Messa LR in 7mm rem mag. I am debating on a Leupold with a firedot ret. A Riton and a zero tech scope. This is just a long-range hunting setup. I am a paraplegic and I want something with a little bit more range than my 308. Which of these 3 scopes in your experience has the best glass and operation? Thank you for all of your help and very useful information.
Great video, How would you compare the glass to other scopes. In the video the edges looked a little blurry. I am not sure if that was the video camera or the scope.
I was almost set on the leupold vx3hd until watching this. Would you recommend this scope over the vx3? My application is a Tikka t3x roughtech 7mm mag. I hunt in northeast Georgia, but plan on taking this rifle out to Ohio to elk hunt as well.
Trent Savage i have a tikka t3x 7mm veil camo. I just purchased this scope waiting on rings at the moment, its the thrive 44mm bell im not a huge fan of the 50mm bells to big and bulky BUT i will say although its made in china its just as clear as the leupold and alot less (im from canada) feels solid and i hope it holds up, all the reviews seem solid. Not to many isnt made over seas anymore. Im not a fan of china made optics but am open to giving this a try.
I have a question for you... I just bought an Umarex Hammer, and they have the rude habit of whacking you in the face when you shoot. What I'm looking for is a decent scope with a very long eye relief, but not so long as a pistol scope. Any decent suggests that don't break the bank? Lots of videos of people shooting this rifle if you need examples of how much push these give during a shot, also thinking a muzzle brake of some kind might be a good addition. I may have to consider a pistol scope to make sure I don't break my glasses. For starting I'm going to use a red dot while I look for a scope.
I have seen good reviews from others about Zero Tech scopes. Here is a channel I have watched sometimes. This guy at Rogee Productions lives and hunts in New Zealand on public land with a Savage 110 Ultralight .300 WSM and a Zero Tech Trace scope. ua-cam.com/video/DtJ1AWtdCiU/v-deo.html You gave a great review and the video link is to where talks about the rifle and scope. And then a bunch of vids of it in action.
Love your videos however when you wear purple it reminds me of an old song and my ring tone; it was a one eye one horn flying purple people eater..... lol... laughing with you I hope....

Great tip man . Thanks for posting that !!
I have this scope and this is what I'd been asking you to review! I absolutely love mine and I'm stoked you've done this👍👍
I'm a simple man. Cyclops Joe uploads a review, I watch it.
My problem is that i buy to much when i see Joe's videos😵💫 With all the new stuff you're never satisfied 🤣🙃
Great video! I liked the split screen of the turret adjustment!
Out of my price range, but I would love to be able to put that on my .270 win! Great review brother.
That is a good looking optic. Like the second focal plane myself
Glad to see you’re well Joe.
When are you going to read more hate mail? That was fucking hilarious brother. All the best from Scotland.
Great video. Thank you for making it informative and easy to follow. I'm new to hunting and rifles and scopes and your videos are just great.
Wow thanks

Great show and thank you for the info my friend big badass Joe 😊
Great video. Good God how did we survive hunting 30 yrs ago with just a Duplex Reticle lol ?! Reticles are getting ridiculous but i really like that magnification range.
Love your style . I live in Australia & I’m definitely going to see for myself .🇦🇺👍
Hmmm, I was looking for your great reviews! on a zero tech vengeance R3 4-20x50mm dam, you don’t have one. Great review on this model. 👍🏼
That’s a pretty sweet set up right there.
Nice scope. I like the dot in the center of the reticle.
Fair play to you Joe for the information on a good budget scope well done Thanks.
Hey Joe I think I'll check one of these out. I've been looking for a good budget 4 to 14 and this does just a tad more than that
If you buy any brand of scope in this magnification range don’t buy it unless it has adjustable paraleck,,and the reason I told you that is that Leupold makes one without it and it is foggy as hell over ten power , I sold mine as fast as I could,,make sure to get adjustable pareleck

I will not hunt with anything other then a second focal plain. And I agree that power range is great. Thanks for another great video.
I concur. There is a lot to be said for a relatively thicker at low power (when compared to FFP).
Nice looking scope 👍🏻 have a good one Joe
Looks great, but I think I've made my mind up to pre order the Tract Toric 2.5-15×44 T plex dot. They will not ship till the end of May on SFP models. Stick with the Tract Toric. LOW in Japan doesn’t make a bad scope.
That’s a really nice scope. Thanks for the info Man. Thanks for the video also..
Will be my next purchase.
Thanks Joe. Nice scope. Same lens covers as Hawke. Like them. Magnetic like Swarovski would even be better.
That's pretty cool scope. I recently got to review a low budget scope that is similar. And when I received it there was a chip on the inside of one of the lenses.
Dang it @cyclops you keep doing these killer reviews of scopes and I keep having to buy new rifles to put them on.
Good video and review Thanks Joe
I’m putting one of these on my SCSA Taipan X 223 👍
It’s a great scope for real
You da man. Love the videos.
Nice solid scope there fella, from a company I've never heard of! :-) I'm a SFF man myself as I mainly hunt using 6 to 8 mag, on FFP scopes I find the reticles just too fine to pick out with trees as the backdrop etc.
Second focal plane for hunting all day long. That reticle vanishes at low light when on low power with first focal plane
Great video very informative but still waiting for the Arken EP5 video
EP5 range footage
ua-cam.com/video/Q5d_T0Ye7HY/v-deo.html
Good video Joe. Does the parallax on this scope (or other scopes) affect the point of impact at all?
Thank you

It’s made in China . Not sure if Japanese or Chinese Glass
It’s a bit heavy isn’t it? Looking at the 3-12 since I don’t need illumination. Saves a bit of weight but still way heavier than leup or NF
Love your videos!!! Soon as I heard Australia I was done.
Aussie Aussie Aussie 🇭🇲
have this model and love this shit!
Great review. Would you compare the Meopta optika 6 2.5-15x44 please 🙂. thanks
looks nice 👍

SFP always for hunting-C’mon. Nice review.
FYI-link to scope says unavailable.

Either the Delta or the Tract

What happen to the review of the Arken EP5 5-25X56?

I would go with the Leupold
Review Joe I'm confused between this scope and MEOPTA
MEOPRO OPTIKA6 2.5-15X44
I would pick then Meopta
Nice
Great video, How would you compare the glass to other scopes. In the video the edges looked a little blurry. I am not sure if that was the video camera or the scope.
It’s the camera setup . It’s SUPER HARD to film thru a rifle scope

Red Dots are greqt
Love your videos. Do you have any recommendations for an optic on a Henry 45/70 all weather?
Man check out PAT RMG channe
Nice.. i like it. But $1200 here in Canada with no zero stop? I'll take a hard pass.
Where is the review for the Arken EP5 5-25x56? I can’t find it.
Coming soon as stock is available .
How would it stand up to the bigger calibers with recoil!?
Easily !! It’s a Beast
Hey Joe what scope would you recommend for a .177 air gun thats less then 70$ ?
Simmons 3-9
Similar to the Athlon Midas HMR?
Yes

Are they putting scopes on their boomerangs now in Australia? 😆
Looks like it comes from the same factory as the delta titanium hd
Yeah looks very similiar
Love your videos however when you wear purple it reminds me of an old song and my ring tone; it was a one eye one horn flying purple people eater..... lol... laughing with you I hope....
