You need to change the title of the video because it has nothing to do with the subject of the vedeo.

Interesting, you're playing Jim Croce while referring to Dan Folgelberg, both excellent acoustic musicians!

Every guitarist I've seen who owns an LL16D say they absolutely love it. Every review I've seen on youtube gives it high marks all around, including a master luthier who gave it a playing test with different styles of music, inspected the instrument with a fine toothed comb ( more on this later in my comment ), subjected the instrument to falling off of a guitar stand onto the floor both face first and back side down ( received very minor damage ie: only a couple tiny dings ), tested the durability of the finish, but finally.......and this really hurt to watch, he took a saw and CUT THE GUITAR COMPLETELY IN HALF TO LAY IT OPEN LIKE A BOOK to get the best view of the materials and craftsmanship of the bracing, neck joint, etc........and he too, was blown away at the sheer quality for an acoustic guitar in this price range. Most reviewers & owners compare it to instruments costing twice as much. All of the above has convinced me that I've gotta buy one for myself.

Agreed here, I absolutely love the guitar. There was only one flaw, in my opinion. The 6th string low G did not resonate as well as the rest of the notes on that string. E, F#, A … all beautiful, but the G just did not sound good to me. I don’t play all cowboy chords, but I think that that note is necessary for my playing. The simple solution … I tuned it down a half step, and it’s perfect! I’m really happy with the way It sounds.
I have quite a few guitars, and I use a lot of alternate Tunings. I mostly play resonator guitar, and I have them in open E, open D, open G, and then I use some oddball and minor Tunings also. My electric guitars are tuned to standard (four of them), as well as my classical and my small body Yamaha APX-10D, so having the alternative of my best acoustic guitar tuned to E flat is just right for me.
In the past, I had a Gibson J160 and an Epiphone Jumbo and neither one matches this guitar. And when I was shopping, I played my favorite, a Gibson J45, and I a Martin D 18 and Martin D 28. I had shopped for years, and never found one that I felt was worth spending the money on.
Furthermore, those pictures of Dan Fogelberg playing one - just heavenly! ❤️🎸🎶

The sound is fine if you play on the side of your bed....it is a nightmare to play at a gig. The people you talked about mentioned the brightness of this guitar....it cuts like a knife. You can get it to sound okay if you spend some money....the 16k slider is important to cut out completely....8k slider doesn't fix it.
The "G" string thing could be minor.....the nut may not be cut well....or could be a dead fret.....had that with a Yamaha FG710-S....sounded better then a Taylor 800 series, but the E string was dead......refretted it with jumbo's (myself) and it now is a cannon.
Could be a void under some frets.....could fill them with super glue.

Yes l have recently acquired a FG 180, and though it is a Laminate top, what beautiful bass it has, more so than my FG 830, that has a Solid Sitka top??😊😊

I have the ARE model .It is exactly the same as the D model with the exception of all that gaudy abalone. I agree that it is a fabulous guitar, but all bling on it just uglys it up.

I kind a like the the look of it. Reminds me of the fabled and ornate Martin guitars. I was so close to buying the FG 180, 50 year anniversary model tho’, almost!

ARE means the Top ageing technology Yamaha used. D mean a Deluxe version of your Standard model
