I never cheered so hard for another team's player when I watched Evander Kane beat the wheels off of Matt Cooke. Best Thrashers highlight ever
"The worst guy you know made a good point" vibes in that fight
@@oakley22610 Seriously, you make some of the most entertaining hockey vids out there. I recommended your channel to a couple buddies and we all love these walks down memory lane
It was so funny as an Avs fan and having the honour to listen the Peter McNab call the game for 27 years or so but also to know he was the player beside Milbury in the stands. Idk why that always makes me laugh to myself. RIP Maxy
Wake up everyone Ben Oakley upload a new video😌
Irrelevant, but I think you should do a documentary on the Florida Panthers and their way from the 1996 Cinderella run, through a couple of first round exits that followed, a LONG rebuild that had to be restarted with drafting of all people Dmitry Kulikov, another couple of first round exits and a long awaited front office change to 58 wins, the best trade in franchise history, b2b finals and THE 2024 CUP.
I understand it'll be even harder to do than the Edmonton one, but we're patient, we believe in you, you've never let us down
I covered a small chunk for them in my first two videos on the channel, but I would like to go back to them eventually and have always wanted to do the entirety of a team's existence
God I love that Lyndon Byers clip. It's really funny.
He was on an episode of Bar Rescue that I tried to find but it wasn't on UA-cam
@@oakley22610 Should've been Bob Beers instead. More fitting.
Your work is greatly detailed and I love learning new small bits of hockey lore I never knew about. Keep on going man these vids are a blast!!
Samuelsson and Cooke did what they did and people still think enforcers deter dirty play.
Waiting for the Milan Lucic video and how that hit on Miller sent the sabres to the cellar for the past 15 years.
was gonna go to bed, but Ben Oakley comes out with this banger, so I gotta stay up 🫡
Whoa, that Videoformat disgusting really fast there. I knew Milbury and Cambpell were sketchy figures, but goddamn, they are despicable. Gods job pointing that out Ben. Great video!
Those Colin Campbell emails are wild. As a tortured Canuck fan I’ll always have beef with him. But still it’s unreal to me how incompetent he was at his job. It’s almost like it’s part of the job description to show utter disdain for player safety (looking at you George Parros)
Nothing better than getting the notification you uploaded a new new video!
Can’t wait for the patreon the drop 🙏🏻 This content is worth paying for
Love your content man every upload is a must watch during a maeal
Tie Domi and Evander Kane are definitely some of the least likeable players ever, but I think most of hockey fandom cheered for them when they knocked out Ulf and Cooke respectively. The Bruins even sent Evander Kane a fruit basket
Saw the thumbnail and knew it was ulf and matt Cooke both were dirty players
Great video, your content means something.
Matt Cooke was suspended in 2014 as well, so he didn’t change much after 2010.
Chris Beckford-Tseu never played associated hockey for the penguins or bruins from what I can find…. But one time he used the bruins on NHL 95 just trust me
CBT is a Blue 4 lyfe
Another great upload. You should think about upgrading your mic though.
I have a good mic I'm just a bad audio engineer haha
Jack Edwards is hilarious
He's such a dork but he is extremely funny, intentionally or otherwise, and is a genuinely pretty good PxP guy
Love your vids bro
unironically saying rick smash nash is hilariously embarrassing. that’s a tough look in general to have leaked
Did NHL goals used to be larger? I feel like the older footage where guys are hitting clappers from the NZ that go in always makes me wonder. I mean, I’m sure the goal tending these days is probably to a higher standard but there’s also a visual element where the goals just look bigger.
The nets are the same size, it's the goalies' pads and the goalies themselves that got bigger. For example Andy Moog is only 5'8" while a "tiny" goalie in today's NHL like Juuse Saros is 5'11"
Ulf Samuelsson was just a bigger less charismatic version of Brad Marchand. .
cmon, Marchand is an elite forward (and pest), Ulfie was more of a thug
