Love the review! I cannot believe when I clicked on this video that you are in NP. I grew up there and lived there for 45 years and just moved down south it's so nice to see the old neighborhood from a bike riding perspective
A mirror is also very useful when on the street. Those wide tires look great but are a power drain and throw up a hell of a lot of mud and water. A Japanese company i think still make a 26"x 2" slick tire with inverted knobs built in. Not only are they fast on a conventional MTB, but the wear rate is is extremely low and they are suprisingly good off-road. Obviously they won't fit the rim, but it's just a thought for the maker to include a similar tire in a future model.
Hey NPL! That's a great display, believe me, I have the same one. You can setup the voltage/battery bar on the display relation. Just go to the menu. First ( + -) Then (PWR -). Afterwards toggle thru until you come across VOL. The battery bars will start to appear as well as some number. Switch between bars and set up a voltage for each one of them. Save changes and you are good to go. It wont tell exact voltage but you can start to get good estimates as you use the bike , cheers.
I have seen so many LCD and colored displays and the worse are the colored displays. I have a Akez S1 dual-battery that uses the M5 LCD it shows everything! The Ebike also will run 29 MPH and as far as I'm concerned, a PAS is a waste on a heavy steel framed moped Ebike. I removed the PAS and it's worthless if running in the 5 gear over 12 MPH. There is a Cruise-Control on it if you want to pedal and all you have to do is set it to 10-12 MPH and pedal. The Akez has dual suspension and sells direct from the company for $1200! The shipping is to you 2-days or so depending on where you live plus it's free shipping. Most of the other Ebikes have their prices inflated and come with a lot of Bells and Whistles including the worthless colored display that is hard to see in direct sunlight let alone if you ride with polarized sun glasses.
From an old guy with lots of atv experience and early signs of arthritis you're right. Unless you can tinker with it. On my old Yamaha I moved the throttle so that it's tilted up.
Here's the questions, and it's true with every new ebike, who's the company, where are they located, what is support going to be like, how hard will parts be to get, do they have an office in the US? There's so many of them now, and I'm sure you get bombarded with review requests, but it's getting to the point where reviews of the bikes, while important, need to include the entire customer experience and the risks involved.
You nailed it! What’s the point of finding the e-bike that has all the features you want just to discover the company selling it is trash? Every UA-cam reviewer should include background on the company. Instead a lot of these reviewer waste time showing you useless stuff like comparing the speedometer on the bike to the gps on their phone only to arrive to same conclusion: that it’s off by two miles per hour. There is an interesting video out there of a guy who googled the images of the supposed executives of some of these bike companies (from their own websites) and they turned out to be stock photos.
Awesome and helpful video. Still debating on what bike I should get so this helped. I did hear the brakes screech, is that normal? Thanks again for the video
Raev has come out with an updated gt model . The gt v2. It is a 52 volt single speed with a more powerful motor which is the same as the GTX. They say they have corrected the rear suspension stiffness problem. Interested to see a review on it. I like the gt better than the GTX because it has a lower stand over height & as a 5'6'' rider it should be more comfortable. Please get one & review it.
You should try/review the Wired Freedom ebike. Dual suspension, hydraulic brakes fat tire, 60v with a 40amp controller. It can hit almost 40mph and currently preorders are $1999
the wired freedom is one of the best ebikes for the price. The only downside is that it doesnt really look at cool as other ebikes. it looks like a basic BMX bike instead of the cool moped or dirt bike style.
i hope you're gonna do a project with this it has so much potential if i'd be you i'll put the grin controller on this bike and set it to 48/60 to connect the other battery. when you want to ride fast connect the 60v when you want to ride slow with alot of range you'll put the 48v it'll probably make it alot faster and poppy. in my honest opinion, this break system is not that good and i prefer (especially on ebikes that go over 40) four caliper ones with big diamiter disk breaks. take into consideration that if you gonna ride really fast you have the breaks for it btw i really think you should change the gears to a single speed if you just want to use the throtle so you wont need that derailur that is just a ticking bomb that gonna destroy on you in a small crash
1st thing I would do with that eBike is build an encasement for the batteries to keep them from getting wet even if that meant I had to install fans for cooling.
This bike might have the best look of the retro mini-bike appearance, as the space within the frame is not so empty looking. The dual battery and the top tube that slopes down to form part of the seat tube makes the bike look busier, which is a good thing in my opinion.
how would you compare this bike to the more budget freindly Jansno x50? Yeah I just picked up the Janson x50 really happy with it so far. First mod was the zoom hydraulic brake calipers that are cable activated. Also ordered an air fork for it! Nice bike man looking forward to seeing what you do to it!
@@NPLVentures Yeah man it looks legit! No doubt about it. Also I like the fact it has a replaceable derailleur hanger. Another sign of a higher end bike frame.
I just got my raev bullet gt about 2 months ago and I've put almost 300 miles on it but I've gotten error #25 twice now. I think it's from using either pedal assist or throttle and touching the brakes or maybe the pad is touching the disc and the bike thinks I'm braking when I'm not so the motor won't go. Has that happened to you? The brakes squeak and I want bigger rotors have you upgraded yours and could that be the problem? Sorry your review has been the best I've watched. Just followed. I'm not impressed with this overall. I think the Hyperscrambler 2 with dual 1000watt motors and 36mph top speed, dual battery capacity, comes with headlight, brake light and turn signals, dual mirrors, front and rear shocks for$1995 for the single battery model is the best for under 2K
I am waiting also. What is the point of making slow electric bikes? So the look like a motorcycle big deal. Gas is much cheaper and fast enough to drive in normal traffic

@@ag-man8601 Well, for one thing, it has a much bigger battery than that of the RAEV Bullet GT. 48V28Ah (1,344Wh) on the Bullet GT while there is 48V60Ah (2,880Wh) on the Romeo, so whatever max range you can achieve on the Bullet GT, you can easily achieve more than twice as much on the Romeo, so 92 miles on the Romeo compared to 43 miles on the Bullet GT. Second, the Romeo got much bigger wheels than the Bullet GT, which is good for having contact with the ground, speed and efficiency, rough terrain riding, overcoming obstacles, and just looking way better aesthetically. Third, the torque on the Romeo (90 Nm-110 Nm) is much better than on the Bullet GT (75 Nm), so you have a much easier time going uphill with a Romeo than a Bullet GT. Fourth, it’s faster, so you can get a bit more speed on the Romeo than your average Bullet GT. Finally, in fifth, the Romeo got very good shock absorbers for the suspensions. Those bikes that look like motorcycles but can only go 20 mph look silly. Makes more sense for a bike that looks like a bicycle to have that kind of maximum speed.
I'm either going to go with the Engwe 2 pro step through 750 watt bike or the Lectric 2.0 or 3.0 step through bike with the upgraded battery and they are both 20 Inch fat tire bikes for under a grand each with free shipping and I am 6.00 tall ,,225lbs and I'll be riding on mainly paved roads and some gravel secondary roads at times traveling 30 miles per day from home to work 5 and 6 days each week. . if that ebike were to be faster, it'll definitively not be legal. Thus the price will skyrocket. 28 Mph on an ebike is plenty for most. I commute every day to collage on a 48v 350w motor that gets up to 28mph. 12 mile round trip. It usually takes me 15 mins or less.
how can they call it a bullet when it only does the basic 28 mph? I'll buy the Ride 1 Up Revv 1 FS first at $2500. it does 38mph with a 200lb man on it when you unlock it
