thank you for being patient since I should have done this video a while ago, buuuut maybe it's for the best that I didn't until now. We have a really good build of ShadPS4 that I used for yesterday's stream and it only crashed once. Super stable, good perf, fire effects, fog effects, etc.
What I want is a video on what still needs to be fixed, what is essentially left to go before we get 1:1 with ps4 and when we can start looking at going beyond 1:1.
Very very exciting. I think I am personally gonna wait just awhile longer until those last few issues are ironed out and maybe some more of the remastery mods are finished and polished. I got the hankering to play a couple months ago when the game first started booting and sunk like 4 whole new playthroughs under my belt on original hardware.
I'm with you, but sometimes mod managers give you more control due their ability to manipulate the load order, which can be salient for having heavily modded games boot. In a game like Cities Skylines you can have thousands of assets per city, so the ability to have different mod configurations for different cities is very nice, especially considering it loads every single asset in to RAM when starting up the game. Even on a fully managed modset with custom load order it can take upwards of 10 minutes on a fast SSD, so you really need that level of control over your mods on a per save basis.
05:11 - mostly correct, the presence of face customization is a big cause of vertex explosions so you'll eliminate a lot of them by using the mod you highlighted, however vertex explosions can still occur from other sources. Like the VRAM leaks this is another issue that will only be properly and fully fixed by the main shadPS4 devs implementing fixes in the main code.
oh almost forget to mention that build 2:41 (fix rebase) screws up my ultrawide resolution, the one m using atm that doesn't mess with UW is the "I wasted hours on this" (8f559da) in case any1 else playing on UW maybe is just a ME issue so try latest version first and if u encounter this problem where resolution is all whack just dl the one I said.
I currently run the diegolix29 build and it runs the CUSA00900 (US) version at around 25-40fps at 2K with few Vram crashes here and there. Although I'll admit my own rig is getting a little long in the tooth (I5-9600k & RTX 2070). Strangely, the CUSA03173 (EUR) version is much more prone to crashes and tanks frames like a mf even with mods like "Crashless Intel" etc. What's odd is both versions have fire, fog, blood spray BUT blood staining clothes is not present in the US version while it is for the EUR, perhaps there are also more effects working on the EUR version that may be a cause for the hardware strain? Or maybe that version of ShadPS4 is being developed more for a certain version of BB? I'm no tech head so I have no clue, but I'm going to try your recommended build!
I still keep using the mod that disables the blood effect until the rainbow stuff is fixed sometimes it gets pretty annoying and it doesn't go away as fast for me and tbh the blood on my character is nice but not that worth the trade off imo. Hopefully in the very very near future that rainbow issue gets fully fixed but until then I would recommend using the mod that fixes the rainbow effect (which disables on character blood in the process)
i wonder if im ever gonna be able to emulate the game on my ancient 6700k. maybe a couple months down the line when they fixed all the remaining issues they will focus a bit more on performance.
great question! so diego's are builds that fold in all the new updates to the emulator from all the different branches, which is cool, and I do check them out from time to time, but they're also unstable I'd say since they're always adding new things, which could be regressions, some better, some worse. This baggins build just happens to be a really stable one for Bloodborne and includes the fire effects, fog effects, etc, that I really want. Eventually Baggin's tesselation work will be folded into the main branch of ShadPS4 and we won't need to use it anymore realistically, but for now, it's a great stable build that'll provide a great experience for most people I think. boy that was way more long winded than I thought it would be lol
Call me diamond hands, but I'm gonna keep waiting until the performance is at least as stable as the original release. I want my return to Yharnam to be the best it can be, so I'm fine waiting a little longer than everyone else.
Set this exact build up last night but I'm on AMD so had some issues. Got it all working now though but not much testing, one crash when the first wolf hit me and stopped there
I think I followed these steps exaclty but still don't glowy fx on drops or fire. I watched the vid twice and can't figure out what I missed lol. Any tips from this group?
Can you explain the AMD GPU situation with the emulator? Can it be fixed? I have RX 5700 XT, and last time I tried the emulator it wasn't able to even boot the game (a month or so ago)

If you are playing at 60fps you should probably look into the 60fps cutscene fix as well
Amazing, thanks for doing this!! Just upgraded my CPU and GPU and have been procrastinating on the mod setup for BB

been waiting for this

Another amazing Fromsoftserve vid!

Perfect timing, I'm downloading the bloodborne remaster project right now!

I want the version 1.0 lighting when the game was more stylized... Also a Convergence mod for Bloodborne would be fun one day.

My favorite method is booting up my ps5
how long you reckon before its running without the mods and is optimized for pc hardware utilization?

I must be one of the few on the planet who find it difficult to squeeze lemons
You legendary been trying to find a vid like this and mods to get, is there a mid that lets you use keyboard and mouse?
Hopefully most mods will just be apart of bloodborne

I don't believe the performance issues are from your PC, I'm on a 3070 and still stutter pretty often.
What's the difference between baggins183's build and diegolix29's ?

On my 6800xt fire is working only with diego version

hey there can i ask what are your specs? some spanish page that sent me here was saying that you were using a 2gb gpu?? that cant be possible...right?
how can i fix Entry point not found std_calloc_crt could not be located in the dynamic link libary this ?
Set this exact build up last night but I'm on AMD so had some issues. Got it all working now though but not much testing, one crash when the first wolf hit me and stopped there
Do I need the sfx fix if iam on an AMD graphics card?
Ive tried this build and it looks like it doesnt have mnk support (or i did something wrong)
I think I followed these steps exaclty but still don't glowy fx on drops or fire. I watched the vid twice and can't figure out what I missed lol. Any tips from this group?
Iv modded tons of my games but I have no idea how to extract my copy of Blood Borne from my play station ?
I think you need a modded PS4 to do that.
Im just waiting for a keyboard and mouse mod
the farter jimmy carter
I can't download the baggins build. The links are not clickable when I go to the github.
do you have an account with/are you signed in to github?

I also have the 5700 XT and would love to know too
Someone with amd GPU? Expiriance with this build?
it crashes for me when an enemy starts attacking. I have amd gpu though.
you need an SFX mod
Guys, can i play now with 4gb vram on 60 fps?
Depends on your gpu
But most likely you'll get a 35 to 40 fps
and trust me!
Its good
