Knowing what we know now, I guarantee you that Jimmy knew the NYTIMES was scheduled to publish that bombshell article. In fact, I would bet that it was probably well known amongst industry insiders that those two were in settlement talks. Cause the way these things work is that we are seeing the tail end results of months of negotiations.
I am basing my assumptions on extensive research on the 1993 Micheal Jackson allegations by Jordan chandler and subsequent settlement. While that was a minor and Cassie is not, i bet talks fell apart and they were far away in amounts.
