I would have never imagined an airline like Emirates serving a continental breakfast in business class. I still remember flying Gulf Air from BAH-LHR back in 2015, flight took off at 1:35am and the flight attendant came around with chicken curry sandwiches when we got to cruising altitude, then a hot breakfast around 7am, and this was in economy. Terrific video as always!
Just as well you put the blind down in the lavatory while you changed into your pyjamas. You wouldn't want anyone looking in at you through the window.
If you were on a much longer flight - eg to US, is the breakfast any better. The big problem with classic cooked breakfast is that almost every item needs frying or cooking individually so you end up with scrambled eggs like cement, sweated bacon and sausage and soggy hash brown. How was it in First when you flew them before.

Ex Emirates cabin crew here! 🙋♀️ it seems some of you are confused about the breakfast, as the menu states this is just a continental breakfast, just something light as it’s only a 7 hour flight hence why it’s not a full hot breakfast service. Admittedly the breakfast doesn’t look as nice with the plastic wrappings on the bread, it does degrade it a little bit, but the continental breakfast isn’t supposed to be anything spectacular when you’re being served a full 3 course meal just a few hours later.
The black nozzle is where the fuel is pumped out if they need to dump fuel. The aircraft will have a max landing weight and would likely be over that during the early stages of the flight. Usually only found on wide body longhaul aircraft as smaller aircraft like A320 or B737 are unlikely to be overweight when they take off. Fuel is typically dumped at 15,000 feet or above. It will then vaporise before any liquid reaches the ground. The coloured smoke you see from military display aircraft is coloured diesel injected into the hot exhaust. That does fall to the ground in droplets. Don't ever put your washing out to dry if the Red Arrows are displaying nearby!
Brilliant Trip Report! Always very informative and enjoyable to watch. The small black tube on the wing is for fuel dumping to reduce the aircraft should an emergency landing be required and the aircraft is over the maximum landing weight. I love the clear dividers between the seats in the terminal. It’s the first time I’ve seen this. Must be a Covid-19 measure they have for the pandemic! ✈️

You're keeping me sane Paul. :-)
The black tube at the rear of the wing is used for dumping fuel
The reflection from the lights inside the terminal prevent you from viewing the aircrafts at night. Otherwise the big birds are clearly visible at daytime.
The black tube is called a Jettison, that is used for dumping fuel.
yey! thanks Paul!
Weird. Whenever I flew business, there was always a hot breakfast option. Last time, I had a cheese omelette with a side of veal rashers and potatoes. Croissant and fruits too.
I have just booked first class but to be honest I like the look of business class; it must be a lot cheaper?
would you say emirates a380 business is better than british airways a350 club world for a flight from london-dubai?
Yes!
@@Paul_Lucas ok thank you!
This seat is a huge improvement on the 2-3-2 business class I flew in on Emirates' 777 in 2019.
Yeah the A380 vs 777 is night and day. 777 is basically an economy seat that lies flat.
Thanks for the video.
A bit cheering to see good many people in the terminal.
The black tube is for fuel dumping
15:16 the black tube is where the fuel comes out if the pilots decided to dump fuel.
Great vlog as always Paul !
11:25 the bottom right there is a monarch plane with the yellow tail how is that there when monarch is bankrupt in 2017?
Just booking my flight to Dubai for September its currently £1200 single way for business class London to Dubai, 18 months ago this would of cost 3k such a bargain currently.
Yes, New Paul Lucas Video! :D
