Just looked at my stats, 75 SQ flights, 55 J and 20 F over 309K miles. 56 of those A380, and I have one to go which is 9VSKS. Best airline IMHO, very consistent. I prefer old business seats, unless you get front two bulkheads on new.
No surprises here. I worked for the Singaporean Air Force for 20 years and i was blown away by Changi Int'l and Singapore Air Lines. It's soooo easy to see why they're voted the best airport and airline virtually every year. The Singaporeans put a huge emphasis on high quality service. That's why their hotels are my all time favorites also.
I discovered your channel last June when I had been diagnosed with Covid-19. My wife and I enjoyed your trip reports as they took our minds of our uncertain situation. We were ill for almost two weeks. Fortunately we did not have a case that required hospitalization. It was a strange time for us and your videos helped. thank you for doing what you do.
My first flight on SQ was from Manila to Singapore back in 1993. I was in economy, yet the flight attendant still greeted me at the door, showed me to my seat, and put my carryon into the overhead bin. I was floored by the level of service!
Really liking the facts/info prior to the take off. It gives the audience something to watch rather than just b-roll and music so you're not inclined to skip over it
Great video! SQ has never failed to impressed me with their efficiency on their overnight india-Singapore routes. I regularly fly the night BOM-SIN route which is just a hair shorter than the one you took from del and they are always done with meal service and everyone’s beds are made less than an hour into the flight. Great to see that consistency out of DEL as well. Can’t wait to see your SQ12 videos, that’s always my personal favorite SQ route to fly :)
Hi Paul and hello from the Czech Republic. You have probably the best channel for travel enthusiasts on the whole UA-cam, keep up the good work! Damned pandemic stopped my own travels but I hope that this summer/autumn will see restart of both my business trips and private travel. In the meantime, I´ll be watching your great videos and waiting to be on the road again! Thank you for the great job!
Brilliant video as always! You definitely got yourself an amazing deal with the flights by starting in Delhi. Lovely Singapore Service & crew as you expect! ✈️
Truly enjoyed this video. I like the bits of information you put in as the plane was taxiing to take off. Hello from the USA and I subscribed to the Surfshark.
I recently flew from Singapore to Bangkok,I was seated in the back section of the plane, two air hostesses gave the safety brief one could have sat it out as I was alone back there,it was funny but I couldn't have been happier with the flight, thankyou Singapore Airlines and scoot great job.
SQ A380 Reminds me of the time when me and my family travelled to Shanghai in Business class from Colombo for $1000 Round trip !! Ah those were the good old days and this video is very nostalgic!!
Another upload that hasn't failed to impress me. Fantastic content yet again, Paul. Roll on when we get back to some normality when you can start your adventure again and continue recording for our entertainment. Keep it up bud! 👍🏻
A top review Paul, also impressed with your train travels, your relaxed style in telling a story is missing from so many other reviewersl. Thks and Cheers.
I can't express enough how much finding these videos has been a bright spot for me during the pandemic. Great video as always (and as someone who's taken a few redeyes from LA to New York, I feel your pain).
After being in the travel business for many years, your videos bring back so many memories. We even had the chance to fly the Concorde from London to JFK, which was awesome. I look forward to the time when travel will be more normal. Thank you for your informative videos!
Hey Paul, I think with the recent airlines restructuring, think thats why there are 3 people to check your ticket. Also WOW how quiet the A380 is - its sooo nice! Hope you are okay during the pandemic and thanks for the videos
Do you know what I love about your videos? 1. The small details and 2. You are the only reviewer that I am aware of (perhaps there are others - can't say) that speaks during the video. It gives a personal flair to it, allows you to pass much more information than typing it and above all allows us to enjoy your videos instead of taking our eyes off the screen to read text. I always have to pause the video to read any info. Love your work, watched loads of your videos especially during the pandemic.
last time I took a night flight, and possibly the last time I flew with Air Singapore, I drank myself to sleep and passed out on a row of 5 (the plane was almost empty, bar me and a South African dude who was my drinking buddy in the whole back cabin of the plane, while we just chatted with the lovely crew in the galley.) They really do let you sleep on there! I got a nudge a couple of minutes before landing, sat up, put my seat belt on, and we were in Sydney.
Great video as always. This seat product was originally launched at the end of 2006 on the 77W and in 2007 on the A380 when that aircraft entered service, so the design is even older than might at first be thought!
The Bureaucracy in Delhi Airport is INSANE! We went there in 2019 and I remember just getting off the plane to the carousel, we had to go through no less than 5 PASSPORT checks! India's an amazing and beautiful country though so the hassle was well worth it. Awesome video as usual Paul! :D Keep safe :) Hey hopefully you can drop by the Philippines soon ;)
Thanks for a great video. I haven't flown as often as you (who has?), but I have flown a few times with Singapore Airlines and I agree with you that it's a really good experience. In particular, as you said, the crew are friendly without being intrusive, and very helpful. The only possible criticism I can make is that I have tried their "Book the Cook" option twice, and both meals were very disappointing. But the regular in-flight Business Class menus are so good that I'm happy to stick with them.
Yet another great video, Paul. :) That looks like an amazing business class seat. One can only imagine what the new product looks like. :) On a side note, the plane you flew on, 9V-SKR, was parked just 11 days after your flights and hasn't flown since.
Enjoy your work and see you're accumulating the flights. I live in western Canada and have enjoyed aircrafts, airports, and travel all my life. Last 10 years I've flown to Bali (dps) 9 times, and once to Manila, Philippines for recreational getaways hooked on the local culture and vibe. I've travelled to Vancouver (yvr) and usually take the night flight to Taipei, Taiwan (tpe). My first was with Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong on their 777, then the glorious 747 5 hour short haul to Bali. Never seen so many 747's in HK except for heathrow. Gone via Tokyo once on JAL to explore business class options and did accumulate gold status on China Airlines for a short period pre-pandemic flying premium class, sometimes upgrading taipei to dps. Knew the system pretty good and loved it. Usually took 32 hours with all the stops from door step to beach step, so a little lounge experience and seats closer to the front always made for a long haul trip that much better. I've travelled a few b/c legs on China Airlines A350-900 and was most impressed. My final 747 opportunity was China Airlines yvr to taipei flying premium class in the upper deck, truly memorable. Can't wait for travel and flights to start again!
Paul, love your videos. You always tell us what we really need to know and throw in some special things as well. I've been a fan for a while and I thought I would take a moment to say job well done... and you alright? I've watched other channels, but they don't have the British "feel." Greetings from Torquay.
Welcome back! I (WE) have missed you! Love all your content so please, upload anything from all your trips you have taken... trains, planes, ships, boats...👍👍👍
Howdy, amazing trip report as always Paul and wow, that looked awesome, especially considering that this is there old product! I can’t wait for the next video!😸
I flew with Kingfisher Airlines to London from Delhi Airport shortly after the new terminal started operating in 2010 and I was impressed with the carpets everywhere. Nice video and nice food.
Ah Paul! You should've done a longer flight on the A380 - I did LHR - SIN in late 2019 in Business class on the A380 - but also went on SQ brand new A350 to Perth, then A350 back to SIN and then 777 to LHR - all Business class - and the best for everthing was the A380, next best and overall best sleeping was the 777 and last the rather lacklustre A350. I think I had x 2 regional variants (SIN - PER) and (BNE - SIN) but I found the seating very restrictive and style over substance. That said, after a year in lockdown, no travel allowed, I'd take ANYTHING SQ offered - because IMO they are THE best in the world. And love the Satay
Great vid Paul! i was getting concerned you may have had the Rona due to uploads, as your fellow youtubers have been uploading, great to see content, i maybe going to Changi airport Dec this year for work cant wait and hopefully fly Singapore airlines from the uk.
My first ever long haul was a Singapore 747 economy back in 1999. The plane was almost empty but the service was amazing. Probably still the best economy flight I've ever taken.
The 6 times I have flown with Singapore I have always been impressed! even though I am a pleb and can only fly cattle class I still feel like I am getting my moneys worth and quality and service.
Looks interesting. My parents were supposed to go on an A380 flight from Singapore to Sydney flight in November 2020 but it was cancelled. iI have never flown Singapore airlines and would like to travel from Manchester to Houston in the future.
Flew from San Francisco to Kuala Lumpur and return flight to Los Angeles on Singapore Air. It was an awesome flight. Food was great and flights were always on time.
Legendary Indian Bureaucracy. Only country I've been to where (in 1996) they someone checking my boarding pass when I got off the plane in Delhi from London. Also had to fill a big form in just to go inside their train museum
Yes they do love to stamp paper documents don't they! Which given Paul's comments regarding digital documents makes India incompatible for a digital age, especially when it comes to international travel. I note despite embracing digital boarding passes Paul had to have a paper one printed off... just to have it stamped at the dedicated check point 🤦♂️
Awesome job as always Paul! Glad you finally got to try Singapore Airlines! Just so you know Paul that 3rd check at 5:47 is how Singapore 🇸🇬 Airlines totals up how many people are onboard to figure out their load factor. I learned that from @DennisBunnikTravels. Also what music do you use at 13:18??? Id love to know....
This lounge is still good. Compare it to the other longue in Delhi between 9:30 pm till 1:30 am odd that caters to all North American airlines. And if you know the air traffic in Delhi that is peak hours where you have atleast 10 -20 flights leaving in the night. It gets so packed u hardly have room to breathe let alone sit. I was flying Air Canada business to Toronto in Jan 2022 during the height of the Omicron variant and the lounge was really packed like a can of sardines.and really not very good
This is what I love about SIngapore Airlines. Two red meat choices (Indian) in the form of mutton and lamb and then chicken and fish as the non-Indian choices. As someone who doesn't eat pork or beef (or any type of red meat) it's nice to know that there is always a choice. I hate when airlines give 2 meat options and both happen to be red meat choices. If I'm being nitpicky, perhaps it would have been nice to have an indian non red meat choice but I won't hold it against them since they had plenty of options including vegetarian.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I realy miss traveling, I love air travel. I can hardly wait for the end of covid. You bridge the gap extremely well. Thanks so much.
Great flight reviews! Would love to see more of what you think of domestic US coach class, with purchased food and drink options(after pandemic ends) because that's what 90% of us in the US typically experience. Thanks!
I’m looking forward to your review of the new seats. Contrary to your experience, I find that the older bed is really uncomfortable, simply because the footwell is so narrow and if you have moderately large feet, they don’t even fit comfortably in there.
I flew back business class from NZ to London with Singapore and it was brilliant. Compared to first class on an old BA 767 the year before that it was night and day better
Brilliant video Paul your videos are excellent from the filming to the history you give of the cities you visit and places you travel on trains on the UK keep up the awesome work hope we all get back to flying 👍✈️✈️✈️
I have flown through Singapore, but that was in 1965 and I think it has changed a bit since then. It was from RAF Gan on a Comet, then on to Penang via KL and Ipoh on a Fokker Friendship, I think, though at this distance I am no longer sure! No catering on the RAF Comet.
I am hoping to fly Singapore Airways for a Round the World flight, stopping in Singapore for a 4-5 days. I want to fly their longest flights on the A350-900ULR. Can't decide if I want to do business class or see how survivable is Premium Economy! My biggest hope is the SIN-EWR flight will get as close to the North Pole as possible!! Thanks, Paul for your videos and awesome reviews of different airlines and airports! Stay safe and cheers!
Hi Paul, you do great videos! I flew SQ on a BOM-SIN-MEL sector with a B777/A380 combo in J Class a couple of years ago and I feel their beds are just horrible. Sleeping on a diagonal is really weird (or should I say, trying to sleep, as it felt so strange I didn't get a second's sleep). And their seat on the 777 (the same as in the video) had a belt that was so strong and tight it was a nightmare to ever try and turn over. I felt as if it was a straightjacket. But their service is 6 star and they will always be my airline of choice. Just not on night flights.
It's so good to see you Paul! Great review but caused me to realize how much we have lost because of the "evil virus". My favorite airline for so many years has been Singapore Airlines. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. They truly set the bar for what an airline should be. I am looking forward to the day that all of us can return to traveling the world. We'll just have to be patient and hope that it won't be too far off in the future. Take care and enjoy your week. 🤗❤🛫🙏🌎
No surprise on the three checks before boarding, You can't beat Indian airports for stamps, stickers and checks before they let you on. I once had 12 different pieces of paper and stamps all checked at various points on a trip from landside to boarding!

LMAO...love this comment!
"the last time I was this early they needed to wage a war to actually block a suez canal"
Made you irregular, did it?
😄
Just as some feedback mate, the little facts over your footage of the taxi out were great and kept me more engaged than usual, love your work fella!
I found you in September of last year and now I have a weird obsession with watching high class plane trips.
I discovered your channel last June when I had been diagnosed with Covid-19. My wife and I enjoyed your trip reports as they took our minds of our uncertain situation. I though you were going to say that the sidebins could 'take a small child easily '. Great work as ever, Paul.
To be fair, they’d take a small toddler...!
@@Paul_Lucas they might even take me or you if we scrunched up!
Great to see another video from you. Been missing your videos. Hope you’re surviving the pandemic.

The old business class seats like these were far better than the new ones .

Good to see you again Paul. It was a fantastic flight again. Thanks for showing us.
So good to see another video Paul. Hope you're well.

I think Paul's first vlog post lockdown 3, will be a train ride to a Wetherspoon or other pub somewhere 😀
Thanks, Paul. Seeing your video made me realize how much I miss SQ's a380. London to Singapore was never more relaxing than on their a380.

Great video Paul
Brilliant video Paul your videos are excellent from the filming to the history you give of the cities you visit and places you travel on trains on the UK keep up the awesome work hope we all get back to flying 👍✈️✈️✈️
I love your videos specifically the train videos, I was wondering if you have given any thought to going to Japan and riding the Shinkansen.
Welldone Paul keep up the good work stay safe
Amazing video love the way u explain things
Awsome video Paul I love the size of the 380 although I haven't been on it
Another great video Paul really enjoyed it thanks. Something to keep me going on my 9hour 27 min shift tomorrow on the iron road.😁😁
Excellent video Paul very informative, thank you....
Omg you have taken 588 flights in your life???? That sounds like a dream.
I've not even taken 10% of that number I don't think
@@visionist7 me neither. I have flown I think 20 times in my life, 10 times if you count toward and back as one.
Will we get another vid before the summer! No hate just miss the uploads 😢
Paul fantastic vlog !
Paul thanks for the great offer on Surfshark what a great offer !!! I cant wait for the next video , stay safe out there.......
