Went skating a few days ago, at first I was only standing near the wall, holding it and using it to move myself. After maybe 20 mins I started to get less scared and stand away from the wall. I didn't really know how to skate forward so I just kinda march a little then let it glide. I fell three times in two hours, the last fall really hurts cause I fell backwards and banged my head on the ice, thankfully I wore a helmet so it was not too serious, though I experienced the pain a day after that. Then, after that I began to move slowly forward, still so slippery though because the ice was melting so there were lots of water and I was only using rental skates because it was my first time. I just really want to try it since although it looks scary, it kinda looks fun. Now I wanna go back and see if there's an improvement, maybe I'll be less scared of the ice by then.
being an rolleblader if i start now i'm going to be able to ice skate?, plus i know how to crossover forward and backwards, powerslide, magic... can i produce these tricks on ice, without having ice skating before?
I have heard a lot of people say that being able to rollerblade is a HUGE advantage when learning to skate on the ice. The basics are the same and the fact you already know all that stuff will definitely help you on the ice. Happy skating!
Yes please went for the first time yesterday, really struggled to skate forward!
"you not bow legged" 😭🤣 i hope i can put this knowledge into practice, thank you !! 😊
This is the best tutorial on UA-cam thanks
