I see quite a few of their older, (STI) guns here used in shops. I live not far from their facility. Only reason I haven't picked one up is all I've seen here is .40. I have hard enought time keepoig my 9mm and .45's fed. LOL! KnifeMake/Retired
Give a look into Mater Pistol-smith Bennie Hill (Triangle Shooting Sports in Corpus Christi, Tx)… I could be a little bit off on specifics, since I’m going off general memory here, but from what I understand, he was STI’s first armorer and was at the table with Streyer and Tripp when they finally figured out all the specifics to make the first 2011 ever produced. He was with STI from 1992-1996 (I think) and he has likely built more 2011 pistols than any other one single around these days. A silent titan in today’s gun world, that rarely gets credit for his contributions these days.

Awesome 😎👍👍👍
I got the exact same STI and prefer the looks of the full dust cover. Thinking of sending it off Magna-port and having it cut for an optic.
