- I am using the traditional toll house recipe for chocolate chip cookies. I am also trying to cut back on sweets so most of these cookies ended up on my bus. The children absolutely loved them! Lots of resounding and affirming yummy sounds! Mmmmm. Now they are asking me when I am going to do it again. Sheesh.
I must explain for those who notice; I don't use the full amount of flour called for so I can add oats for taste and texture. The raisins are for the added sweetness and variety of flavors. No nuts. Not for me. Don't know why. Counter intuitive to the mushy softness I guess.
But oh my goodness....they were soooo good!

You can make just two, all you need is two tablespoons each of butter, sugar, and brown sugar, a splash of vanilla, dash of salt, a teaspoon of milk, enough flour to make it how you like it, whatever kind of chocolate you have (if I don't have chocolate chips I cut up a chocolate square) then you can bake in the microwave in a mug or roll out two cookies and bake in an oven!!!!!
I hope you love it, I made the recipe, but it was based off other ones I tried. Most people use egg instead of milk, but it's too much egg it makes it a weird texture and you can taste the cooked egg still 🤢

I have the same sifter! I've never seen anyone else with one like that. I love it. It was always my job to sift when I helped bake when I was little.
You can pick them up at the antique store. That’s where I got mine. I’m thinking I got a 1920s sifter.
