Super ideas! Since the personal appearances are currently drying up (and I understand so I'm not even disappointed), this info is more than welcome. :)
You are the best pitch person I have come across in a long time. Can't believe one of the shopping channels hasn't sniffed you out yet. By the way I love the "Book Broad", tag. It's memorable and shows that you don't take yourself too seriously -- i.e. you can be trusted.
This video was so helpful! Thank you! We live in Germany with most of our clients in the US so we need to do most of our marketing online anyways. Thank you
That's awesome. You can do so much online but as soon as we can't do something that is often all people focus on! Thank you for stopping by and for commenting the day a video is released. Everyone who comments on the day a video is released is entered to win some sweet #noboringbooks swag. We do the draws LIVE and the next one is on Tuesday, April 14th at 2pm PST / 5pm EST - really hope you can be there! And, if you can’t, the replay will be available so you can tune in to hear if you won!
Again 😁 another REALLY good video presentation ☺️ but I didn't hear you mention schools (colleges, universities and high-schools 📚) Still 😁 I love 😘 your energy
Always enjoy your videos. Growing up next to Maritimes Canada I noticed your pronunciation of "house" like "hoose". It made me laugh but in a nostalgic way of remembering The Beachcomers, Romper Room, Friendly Giant, and Mister Dressup. BTW as a child, I watched more Canadian TV (CBC & ATV) than I did American TV (NBC, CBS, ABC).
That is awesome! The friendly giant was one of my favorites. :) My parents only had Satellite TV so I watched CBC and the rest were American Channels ... funny!! :)
@@BookLaunchers "Look up, look waaaaay up". I did not realize how much Canadian TV inculcated my childhood until I moved away from Maine. Whenever I mentioned things like Paddington Bear, Shantytown, Simon in the Land of Chalk Drawings, Kids in the Hall, etc. people would just stare at me. Also, I remember the national anthem at the beginning and end of the broadcast day as well. They showed Niagara Falls playing "O Canada".
Great video! 👏 I played it 5 times. Excellent and very well done Julie. Merci...I am catching up with few videos that I missed... always good things to learn...Bravo!
So many great tips to choose from. I think that for me, right now is an excellent time to concentrate on tip number 5, building an author platform and tip number 13 SEO and metadata. Those are two areas where I know that those two areas can definitely use some improvement. I definitely like the idea about a book club. I will definitely be looking forward to that video. As always, thanks for sharing such great info.
Came back to re-watch this video. It is Chuck FULL of Great Content that helps an indie Author sell books without leaving their home!!! Thanks for creating this for all of us Authors!

@@BookLaunchers HA! Poor Julie. You've got a dad with a 4 year old and another dad with a 7 year old -- ALL Identifying with your #workAtaHome struggles #RELATABLE! Good Luck over there! LOVE this video!
Great tips. Thanks. So looking on the bright side of having a grandchild at home, I have been catching up on my reading. Only thing it's a Dr Seuss children's book that I'm reading over and over!😊
Which one. We've been reading 'Inside Your Outside' a lot lately but we also read 'Oh the Places You'll Go' and 'Green Eggs and Ham' quite a lot. Phew!!

True! There is no excuse to not sell your book while on isolation. I have to keep telling myself that there is also no excuse to not finishing your book while in isolation. (Hoo boy... the last chapter so difficult. I feel like I'm waving goodbye to my reader.) I'm saying this mainly for my own benefit... and to, hopefully, prepare you and your team for my impending patronage.
Honestly I've struggled to work on my book in lock down - but I have a 3 year old and a husband that has had a really hard time with everything that has happened as it's negatively impacted everything he does. Running my business and handling the extra strain around the house has made writing the book tricky ... BUT I'm going to get back on it this week ... and Saturday I'm going to host a 'write with me' session so maybe it's EXACTLY what you need to finish?? :)
Book Launchers I will be with you Julie! I'm excited to hear that! Yes, I don't want to minimalize everything that is now much more difficult... three year olds are a handful! We've been cleaning out the attic, and our 20 year old found our stash of his cute childhood drawings of our family. Get your three year old to draw a lot now, and they will be future treasures... memories of these formative times. (I loved your sweet one's cameo the other day!)
@@ArtistAllanWest That's a great thing. We save a few drawings but most hit the recycle bin but we should be saving more. Thanks for that. Wait until Friday for a full appearance ... actually you'll be seeing more of him in the videos with everyday being 'bring your kid to work day' :)

As a subset of video, I have had some good results using a scribe video. For a children's book, you can read and show the whole book. Adult non-fiction could scribe short, useful sections.
