I just want to take a moment to compliment you on keeping the software title up during the entirety of each review. Too many reviewers show the title/item when they introduce it and then take it away and you can easily forget which one they are reviewing part way through the review. Thanks!
I read your comments first and saw a lot of people thanking you for saving them time. I thought I would watch for about 10 mins and then bounce to another video. The comments were right, this video was amazingly helpful. I started with a Kuula account to try it out. I've already posted a short tour of one of our school gyms for our vendors. Thank you so much! I'll check out your course too.
Ben Claremont hey Ben thanks for the reply! I’ve made 7 tours since watching a video. I just watched your other video on the 360 R. That is pretty cool too. thanks again for the info you put out.
Would love to see an updated version of this, as some things have changed (Theasys isn't really usable for free anymore) and new players have come to town.
I am more into videography. But your video is very informative. I can see lot of effort for an hour long video. I was not sure if i will watch the whole, but you never let the attention drop off. Good Job
Amazing comparative... the best one to choose a Virtual Tour Software, Congrats! Thank you so much... I choose Kuula... best result for less work for good price... 😎
I totally agree with Irina's comment, you saved a lot of my time browsing web to identify the best for me. I'm just entering the 360 world with a DSLR + Sigma 8mm + Nodal Ninja 6. My target is Real Estate job. I'll follow your tip: start with a Beginner softw and jumping to next level according to knowledge & level of job increases. Thank you so much.
Thanks a lot Ben, you saved me a lot of time and probably from making a bad choice. There are 2 things that are still in the air : - License upgrade price - Best for what? (sector of activity)... - Recommendation on drones? I guess your ratings are good for real estate business which is my case. How about walking tours for instance?... And last, I heard about another tool called GeoCV... Curiously the website seem to be inactive... Thanks again... #StayAtHome
Hi Ben, this is John from Malaysia. Firstly, I am extremely glad Kuula is your 1st Choice of Virtual Tour Software as it is mine. I had been exposed to Virtual Tours for Interior Design for 3-4 years now and just recently did a couple of projects using Kuula and charged my client with a good fee. Kuula by far is the most easy use and user friendly with various customization as well as Domain and SSL Certificates for Business users. Thank you for your video as I'm looking forward to improve my Virtual Tour experience and step up a few levels with your recommendations and throughs on other VR softwares!
Hi John I have a question, do you also host your clients tours? I’m fresh in this virtual tour biz and I want to offer it to certain businesses that aren’t just real estate agencies. I have many businesses that have nothing to do with real estate and yet they still want a virtual tour but what I saw is that Kuula is monthly based and if I’d charge a customer once then host his tour forever then I’m basically making no profit in the long run. What’s your approach if you don’t mind me asking? Thank you!
Theasys changed to only 5 panorama images in a freebie and inundated with watermarks - suspect it became VERY popular thanks to your amazing video dude! I'm raging on the other hand haha
Couldn't really have seen this video at a better moment, you helped me out more than you can realize! Thank you for all the time you saved me and for all your videos!
Dude... I've watched your videos before but this one made me subscribe! I just had to... what an incredible amount of work you've put into this!! I'm in the real estate business so Matterport is my easy pick - the 360 camera integration earlier this year made this a no-brainer for me. You wouldn't believe how much the "Ohhhhh... Matterport" effect actually works on realtors. :) Plus, their platform does 80% of the work for me allowing me to quickly get the job done and move on to another shoot the next day. Keep up the great work!!
I love the look of Matterport. I just checked out your website EyeCaptureImages and the virtual tours looks fantastic in Matterport. Would you mind me asking which 360 camera you use? :)
EyeCaptureImages thank you! I just bought one! 🙂 Now trying to work out the best method to get high quality images. I downloaded the DualFisheye plugin, as that seems to be the thing everyone’s raving about at the moment 😂
Congratulations Mr. Claremont. Your video is a very good piece of information. It is immersive, quick, straight to the point, very well organized and, amazingly, ... funny!!! You have saved us all a lot of work ...
You have been a repository of 360 knowledge in my last few years. But this video is really amazing! I have see it 2 times. One time to get the big picture, the second time to take notes. You saved us a lot of time! Thanks Ben.
3Dvista is the one for me. I downloaded their demo version and liked it so much I used the demo to see how easy it was to learn how to use it...and for me it was fairly easy although I am still learning how to use it fully.
wow so useful, thank you! I'm just going to have a look at their websites now (May 2020) to see if anything changed. For me I picked: Theasys - Because its free, gets a professionalish end result and its easy to use especially bc I'm very new at this. Kuula - Cheap price but professional and sort of customizable Panoskin - Cheap, good for when I have some experience in the future, very customizable 3Dvista - For when I'm a master at this lol I am going to start doing this for the yachting industry so I need something cheap or free, easy to use for someone new, and very customizable as clients wouldn't like any external logo on their tours. One of the most important features it has to have is that I can share it in many different ways, as a link or put it directly on our website, so I'll try and see how this goes... Again Thank you very much I'll keep learning from you!
Hi Ben, as the photographer for a non profit organisation, I convinced them to pay me to create a virtual tour so that the prospect students who intends to spend a week in Ottawa get to see what this youth center has to offer; outside entertainment hockey rink, basketball etc, ...inside; main lobby, salon, classrooms, kitchen, dorms etc. I have photographed every rooms with digital DSLR Canon EOS and 360 with an InstaOneX (That I bought off 360ware ; off your link last year.) So far I have segregated the 2D and the 360 on separate folders which I will photoshop each of them to remove the tripod and shadows. Now, from your video, I feel like 3DVista is the one to get since the center has rooms with TV screens which i could insert videos on them, library to link to some documents (since this center formerly named Terry Fox) has some history since 1985, a digital map of the city off Google and the location of the center. My superiors gave me the mandate to proceed with this virtual tour project so the kids can access it through social media platforms along with their web page. You gave 3DVista almost a 10. I have downloaded it and I think this is the one I should get since its costs seems to have lowered to $200.00 (US ). I just need from you a confirmed approval based on your findings which software that I should buy or use. I am still "wrapping my head" about the different demos that I have downloaded but still undecided on which one to get. I feel that 3Dvista maybe overkill but I know its going to achieve a very "classy" finish. To know more about this organisation, check their web site: Google: Encounters with Canada. Under the personnel tab, you"ll see my name and pic. You will also have a grip about their mission and achievements. Can't hardly wait to hear from you mate. Cheers. Gilles.
I use 3Dvista and I love the adaptive hdr tool they have. You take pictures in différend exposures and when you view those in the tour, they change automatically if there is a dark or bright spece. That solves the 'unrealistic' feel of hdr footage!
Hey Ben, Thanks for this !!! My choice is 3D Vista... since one doesn't buy a program only for one use... the difference between 3D Vista and Pano2VR is only 140Euro...and it's a program you can use forever...
just downloaded the trial version... i can't stitch the images from my Theta Z1 it gives me a lot of missing control points... do you have expieriense with this ? How to solve ??
I had the pleasure to work with 3DVista as total newbie to Virtual Tours and it's VERY intuitive, very expensive but recommended if you work with a company or as a freelancer
You use ricoh's app to take the photos. When taken, the 360 photos upload to your phone. I then use ANYTRANS for my iphone to upload to my computer. I then log on KUULA and upload the theta z1's photos to KUULA. The process is very easy.
What an amazing content, result of an equally great work !!! That one goes straight towards my "classics to be watched and re-watched" golden. Thank you for the efforts and energy invested. You probably eased the tasks and processes of hundreds of entrepreneurs... bravo ! And inspired others, such as me. ✋☺
wow, you certainly took some of the legwork out by reviewing so many choices! Thank you!!! oh and yes, it's a video I will revisit during my decision making process!
Hi Ben. Really enjoyed this video. I am an architect and use 360 images/ video to send to clients. None of these are shot with a camera, but are all rendered out in 3d software and edited in After Effects. I've been using VRDirect to stitch these architectural narratives together, and it's been working quite well. Would be great if you could cover some additional tips and techniques for this particular workflow/ purpose. Cheers
I use the 3D vista pro it’s awsome , I learnt it myself now I am pro at using the software , they charge you around 150€ per year for upgrading the software but they do give you free updates , updates and upgrades are two different thing. The technical support team is superb, one email and they respond to ASAP, but the question has to regarding issues you are facing with the software. Simple to use but if you want to get the best out off it you have to spend time learning it. It’s worth spending , you can make double of what you spend in just one tour.
Hi Stuart - if you are looking for a way to get a one time pay lifetime license for your 360 software, let me know as we are doing something soon to enable this for everyone .
Pano2VR all the way with me. You can also add code yourself so you can do the same as KR pano if you wish. In Pano2VR you can also make your own skins so the magazine\ look is easily achievable. However, as you rightly say there is a learning curve.
Thanks for this great video, saved me LOTS of time going over the features and which ones might meet my needs. I have a question, if you use some of the products, Pano2VR and 3DVISTA for instance, you still will need a separate site to host your 3d tours, correct? Can you do a separate video on the best hosting services if you're using one of the "build-your-own" 3d tour softwares like these?
As someone that started with the Samsung gear 360 and Marzipano, then now using Insta360 pro 1&2 for stereoscopic shots 3Dvista was too hard to pass up. I have been using 3Dvista for about 3 years now and I am not disappointed. Even if you find a short coming with the software the development team usually adds fixes and adds new features all the time. The software now already looks very different from say late 2016. You could write a book series on the software and its capabilities.
@Ben Claremont. You ROCK Ben!!!!!! This video has saved me weeks of research and brain numbing comparison. Thanks so much for such an in-depth tutorial. Even with a Google search the majority of your findings did not surface. Well done my friend.
Excellent video. It's left me torn though. As a 2nd year realtor who has a few other side hustles. What would be the one you would recommend for virtual residential tours? -low cost to free. One time payment is fine but I don't want a monthly payment. -download the tour or embedded link is perfect. -not too basic, no coding at all From the video I think 3DVista or Theasys I suppose I can try the free first and buy the other (3DVista) later. 🤷🏻♂️
Amazing video for the sheer quantity of apps you were able to run through and all the great info. I bought my Insta360 OneX last year based on your many review videos and I am happy with it. Good job! I personally like using Cupix and occasionally matterport since it has a great app and a couple of features that make clients go wow. What I don't like about a lot of the other ones you mentioned is that they require you to manually link each photo which would be fine for 10 photos but when you're dealing with 30-50 you might go insane. I'm used to my apps doing all that work for me. Noticed a heavy bias towards publishing to googles street in the ratings. There are a lot of clients I know that don't want that though and I noticed some of these apps won't even let you post a sample tour unless you are doing a google street which is a bummer. 3D vista looks amazing. I hope to graduate to it eventually.
Hey Ben! great overall review of the statw of the art now at virtual tour software. Just want to clarify, krpano tours are not coded on that app (Krpano tools), it has some lateral uses instead for developers, mainly tours are coded from a text editor. Been krpano developer for about 8 years now and I'm quite convinced is the best virtual tour software this days, is just that learning curve is a bit steep, but once you understand krpano logic it gives you all the freedom to do exactly what you want. Don't want to sound cocky or something but to give you an insight of this great software, in the end, with the latest release (1.20) krpano can reproduce tours from all those platforms (3D vista included), just won't have that easyness of editing, which is indeed not a point on it's favor.
Yes Ben well done ! and it was for sure a hell of work ! you only failed on KRpano but you cannot blamed for it. Without any helping hand nobody would get the step over the threshold ;-)
I've been using Kuula for about a year now after watching this video. They just updated the website recently and it is really amazing how much stuff you can do!
Thank you for making this video Ben. I use 3dvista from the very beginning and I am very happy with the final professionally looking results. Watching this ranking just confirms what I thought.
Thanks Ben .. this helped; I had been playing with the Trial version of 3Dvista and really wanted to like it. Your review really helped. Will most likely get 3dVista.
Great stuff. Would love to see a 2022 update to this video. Software changes fast and it would be great to see the new players in the industry and the new features of the tried-and-true applications.
Excellent explanation Ben. I use Kuula paid version. Easy to use and good enough for clients as well. Also one of the best for price. Thanks for your time and expertise.
I'm just begining with this beautiful and awesome art of VR experiences and I swear that you have been the lighthouse on this curious and unknown journey. My best regards, excelent work!
I have to experiment with all the software, but I think I'm going to go with Kuula, Theasys, and either 3D Vista or Pano2VR for higher-end work. Thank you for all your content Ben!
I feel that you saved a month in my life by explaining all those apps and their features 🧡
Thanks for this 👍
My pleasure :)
damn true
agreed!
remember to leave a like and subscribe ;)
Yup yup, this is seriously relevant
We need to UPDTAE this list for 2020/21 THANKS BEN! 🙏🏽
Right? Anyone know how MetaReal holds up?
Looking for an updated version on this!!
YES!! Agree! Pleeeeeeease Ben! :D
Ditto!

Who is revisiting this video? Thank you Ben, I just made my first$$
Congrats!

Ben Claremont hey Ben thanks for the reply! I’ve made 7 tours since watching a video. I just watched your other video on the 360 R. That is pretty cool too. thanks again for the info you put out.
The transitions in Matterport make it killer
Nothing else even come close, for me it's the clear winner despite the price tag
Would love to see an updated version of this, as some things have changed (Theasys isn't really usable for free anymore) and new players have come to town.
I agree, yes please.
Pano2VR is for me the best solution plus the guys that are behind this beautiful software are really helpful, a big shout out to Martin Hopkins
I was really nervous. I watched this AFTER I already bought 3D Vista. Phew!
So, you made a tour already we can see? This video made 3dvista also my choice, so, how is it?
Wonderful no bullshit analysis. No adverts as well, hats off my friend!
I am more into videography. But your video is very informative. I can see lot of effort for an hour long video. I was not sure if i will watch the whole, but you never let the attention drop off. Good Job
Glad to hear!

P.s. since I don’t wanna lose money on long run hosting for clients, 3DVista’s one time fee seems the best choice.
I recently bought 3DVista, I love it. Great to see you do too. Thanks Ben!
Good choice!
Can you take measurements in 3DVista?
Theasys changed to only 5 panorama images in a freebie and inundated with watermarks - suspect it became VERY popular thanks to your amazing video dude!
I'm raging on the other hand haha
Thank you for such an informative video Ben! This is what I was looking for :)
So my TOP three choices would be:
1. Theasys
2. Kuula
3. Panoskin
Pleasure- nice choices!
Thank you for choosing Kuula as one of your top choices! 👍

I have a question, if you use some of the products, Pano2VR and 3DVISTA for instance, you still will need a separate site to host your 3d tours, correct? Can you do a separate video on the best hosting services if you're using one of the "build-your-own" 3d tour softwares like these?
Thanks! Yes you will.. I’ll definitely consider this video 👍
Larry Field good question, going to ask the same
Thanks for the tour. Was good to understand when you are not into at all and trying to get your head around stuff.
Thank you very much for this video.
You have done a professional job.
It is great for me. I am a beginner in this job.
This is not the first video of yours that has left me feeling "Thank F#&@ I watched that" - Thank you!
Glad to hear!
Thank you very much, Ben! This video is very useful for me, beginner.
I'm a real estate agent looking to do my own virtual tours and I think matterport may be perfect for me
You chooses best one
@Ben Claremont. You ROCK Ben!!!!!! This video has saved me weeks of research and brain numbing comparison. Thanks so much for such an in-depth tutorial. Even with a Google search the majority of your findings did not surface. Well done my friend.
Let me guess, the 14 'thumbs down' votes are from companies whose products didn't make this video? Sour grapes...
Or the ones that didn’t take 1st place 😂
This is so good. Thanks for taking the time to thoroughly assess the different platforms. Cheers!
My pleasure

Thanks for video. You can pin this comment so that anyone can find it.
Excellent video. It's left me torn though. As a 2nd year realtor who has a few other side hustles. What would be the one you would recommend for virtual residential tours?
-low cost to free. One time payment is fine but I don't want a monthly payment.
-download the tour or embedded link is perfect.
-not too basic, no coding at all
From the video I think 3DVista or Theasys
I suppose I can try the free first and buy the other (3DVista) later. 🤷🏻♂️
Why is this not pinned? Lol
thank you kind sir
Hi! For Matterport can you upload 360 rendered interior photo?
I learned so much from this video. Well made, easy to understand and last but not least: enjoyable to watch.
Hey Ben! great overall review of the statw of the art now at virtual tour software.
Nice, yeah that’s what I’ve heard from friends who use it. If they made it a bit simpler I would definitely give it a go :)
didn't expect all this in kuula :D
Thanks for this video. I decided to try out Kuula. I love it. Very user friendly. Ended up purchasing the Pro for the month :)
3D Vista is simply the best for me so far, thank you for the video Ben.
Thanks- agreed!
Hey Ben, just wanted to say you've done an AWESOME job on this video review. An insane amount of work to tackle, amazing. Thanks.
Thanks Aaron, means a lot coming from someone as experienced as yourself 🙏🏻
Yes Ben well done ! and it was for sure a hell of work ! you only failed on KRpano but you cannot blamed for it. Without any helping hand nobody would get the step over the threshold ;-)
I've been using Kuula for about a year now after watching this video. They just updated the website recently and it is really amazing how much stuff you can do!
Thank you for making this video Ben. I use 3dvista from the very beginning and I am very happy with the final professionally looking results. Watching this ranking just confirms what I thought.
Unbelievable effort went into making this video. Thanks so much. .
Thanks a lot - even after four years 🙂
Great video and saved me time. Please do more.
you are a value to us who want to do this work. Thank you Ben Claremont.
Thanks Ben .. this helped; I had been playing with the Trial version of 3Dvista and really wanted to like it. Your review really helped. Will most likely get 3dVista.
Thank you for taking the time to review these!!
Pleasure
Thanks Ben. Really informative and saved me a lot of research time. I will be looking at your training video and your hardware comparison. Great work!
Great stuff. Would love to see a 2022 update to this video. Software changes fast and it would be great to see the new players in the industry and the new features of the tried-and-true applications.
I will definitely remake this video soon 👍🏻
Excellent explanation Ben. I use Kuula paid version. Easy to use and good enough for clients as well. Also one of the best for price. Thanks for your time and expertise.
Glad to hear!
Thank you, Ben! This was the most helpful video I've watched in a long time. Keep them coming!
Thank you so much! I love your videos, keep them coming! You are helping me get closer to my dream career in less time! Cheers!
I'm just begining with this beautiful and awesome art of VR experiences and I swear that you have been the lighthouse on this curious and unknown journey.
My best regards, excelent work!
My pleasure
I have to experiment with all the software, but I think I'm going to go with Kuula, Theasys, and either 3D Vista or Pano2VR for higher-end work. Thank you for all your content Ben!
Awesome 😎
This is such a great video! Really good info and evaluations! Thank you!
