    Thanks for the good breakdown walkthrough in which you remind us to not be so quick to make a call. I just recently acquired a thermal adapter and I have 2 draw cars I've been avoiding, I'll see if it helps any as it guided you on this example.👍👍

    Good video Marrio! I wish the motoring public would watch these videos and fully understand the complexity of their problems as well as the time and resources it takes to solve them. Let’s see.. Alldata, hand tools, a thermal imager, 2 lab scopes, an amp probe, and a technician that knows how to effectively use it all!

    You didn't go wrong, you went right! you kept going and showed the two false positives with the door & tipm. Glad you left them in. 👍

    After everything times down, did you still have aprox. 150mA? Big difference from 4A, but still enough to kill a battery in 3-4 days.

    This has to be one of the best parasitic draw diag videos I’ve ever watched! Thanks so much Mario for being transparent and showing us the real process. This taught me a lot and I’m excited to get back onto a customers Mercedes S500 with a draw issue. Got to get me one of those thermal cameras now 👌🏻

    Had one a few months ago where the drivers door latch was intermittently showing the door as being open. Was happening so fast, the scan data wouldn't show it. Scoping the circuit was the only way to see it was opening.

    I wish manufacturers would release the wakeup and shutdown data of their networks to technical service providers , great video most dont show the real struggle and fails along the way.

    Dodge and chrysler are notorious for clear coat on ground wire connections to body , bad earth's are very common for electrical issues in these cars .

    Had a draw on one of these last year. Ended up being the master window/lock switch. Had been all over town an nobody thought to suspect the grimy soda spilled on inop switch.

    How much is it to diagnose a parasitic draw? My Dodge Challenger has one.

    Automotive diagnostics and programming UA-cam channel had a similar issue on a 19 dodge Ram. He found his issue unplugging parts of the databus at the star connectors. Very interesting vid. It's too bad they didn't use star connectors in your vehicle.

    Ever since modules replaced mechanical, followed by CAN bus connections, current draws have been a nightmare!
    Some trainers will say it's easy others know better. Enter "INTERMITTENTS" and all bets are off! You are persistent which makes you the go to guy!
    Good one Mario! Keep up the good work!

    Great Video, one question, "Why the thermal image didn't show up any heat from the sunroof fuse, when you disconnected first time the radio fuse? (thermal image its great but sometimes it can make you to go around the problem, wouldn't be easier to start unplugging module's fuses?)

    How come that fuse for roof didn't show a heat signature on your camera?

    • @SuperMarioDiagnostics
      @SuperMarioDiagnostics  8 місяців тому

      Because the bigger the fuse, the harder it is to see small draw flowing through it
      If it were an ATM mini fuse, I’m sure it would’ve appeared on the thermal imager
