- We wrap up the offensive prospects in the upcoming 2024 Draft as Chris (@CSimmsQB) and Ahmed (@ahmedNBC) break down TEs and RBs, in a little different way. How high should Brock Bowers be drafted, and what's a good landing spot for him? Then, the guys look at the top RBs in consensus mock drafts and Simms says whether he's higher or lower on them. But first, Chris and Ahmed wonder why anyone cares about a needle in a haystack. #NFL #NBCSports #ChrisSimmsUnbuttoned #NFLDraft

"Chris simms has been in his basement grinding on 20 guys"... that should be the headline
“You know I - I I’ve been in the lab grinding to these 20 guys and I I I’m gonna admit I gotta man crush I really do “ Chris simms in the future , probably -
@@MyTeamOnly_ "I like his body better. Nice legs, nice upper thigh area"
Simms would 100% love that 😂
“The body, I love ok. I mean It’s rare to see a white guy with that kind of legs and ass.”😂 the other guy quickly moves past that
Estime ran a 4.58 at his pro day. I like him a lot. A sleeper for sure.
This really was one of the best pods in a while, Ahmed was in good spirits. W content
Ahmed is the worst. This podcast is good despite Ahmed. Talk about the biggest most prickly square buzzkill
Ahmed is the best you crazy
@@zakbednar4939 I know that buddy steele guy is a professional Ahmed hater, idk why
I love how Simms could have easily pumped up the TE from his school but instead kept it real.
Is that a surprise?? He doesn’t do that cmon this is his career and reputation he’s not gonna do that
I didn't say surprise, buddy.
These guys make my days so much better - this content is just as much a highlight of draft season as anything 🙌
Estime won me over with that last game. Dude was stunning.
If I was NFL scouts I’ll watch all your videos and take serious consideration in your analysis. Great breakdown of players
Supplant is a word and makes sense in the context. Come on Ahmed and Pete - don’t gaslight Simms 🤣
I love their opening conversation 😂😂😂
Estime is gonna be a steal in the 4th for someone. Should be a late 3rd
Isaac Guerrendo. Remember that name.
I know the name, I see the speed. Does Isaac have Heart?
Guerrendo sucks. I get that he tested well, but he doesn’t look like half the athlete he tested as
I hope he is good but I don’t think his vision and contact balance are at a nfl level. Hope he proves me wrong
Supplant is to substitute, so I think he was right, no?
I think its more like replace by being superior
I agree with Chris about valuing guys who make the most of what is available to them, which is why I'm surprised he didn't mention Bucky Irving. Bucky never goes down on first contact and routinely makes guys miss. He has elite short-area quickness but doesn't have elite long speed. He's also easily the best pass catching back in this class. To me, he's in the mold of Devin Singletary and Austin Ekeler with his short stature and elite contact balance. His combine was disappointing, but his film shows the kind of dynamic player he is. Curious what Chris thinks about him.
"Diamond in the haystack". "Connecting the tea leaves". Chris-isms are the best!!
I feel like the RBs are gonna be more underwhelming than the TEs, so it’s strange that only 3 TEs were talked about as opposed to more RBs in this video
Simms please say “No Diddy” before every podcast before you start talking 🥶🥶🥶🥶😂😂😂
YES YES YES YES YES YES!!! THE GOAT HAS RETURNED!!! SIMMS YOU ARE THE BEST ANALYST! AHMED YOU ARE THE BEST COHOST! THIS IS ENTERTAINMENT
Yikes
@@wes3764 you have 100+ comments on this channel too, you’re just too shy to admit it
Yes!
Simms is the best you’re right but no no no Ahmed is not the best cohost he’s the worst. His personality is prickly and lame, he doesn’t know football, all he brings to the table are useless stats he just looked up that Simms could care less about and unfunny jokes that he never gives up on. He’s the worst. and he’s always criticizing Simms and trying to dampen him
@@buddysteele7624.... would u prefer he co hosted with his nose up Chris's ass?
Of course not- and Chris wouldn't work as well if he did- Ahmed is a great co-host and a terrific presenter
Everyone says we need Connor Rogers instead- nope! .... there is no contrast in Chris and Connor
The best shows need contrast to shine - Unbuttoned is very much one of those
Best content going ❤
Ray Davis is the guy I like ~
Davis looks like RB1 to me.
@@aaronroberts6606 Seriously,. He's a 3 down RB
Great vision,.good hands,, good speed burst,..Good power
Just not top end speed but not too many RBs are running away from the whole defense anymore~
@@aaronroberts6606 He reminds me alott of Javonte Williams out of NC a few yrs ago~
We Jags fans appreciate an intelligent assessment and I agree with everything you said but the main issue he has that you didn’t discuss was his fumbling issue in the pocket. Some of it is Oline related but a lot of it is him trying to do way to much and not knowing when the play is dead.
I would say Jonathan Brooks elite ability is his vision.
@39:30. "I like this one trait about him and I ride it too hard". Chris Simms ladies and gents! 😂
I hope the Bears take Brock Bowers at #9. Do the Bears want to help their new young QB? Then get him Brock Bowers to go with DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Cole Kmet. That would be the best 12 personel in the NFL for Shane Waldrons base 12 personel offense. Brock Bowers is the PERFECT pick for the Chicago Bears at #9.
The RBs from Troy and SouthernMiss are pretty good too.
Lloyd. Benson. Allen. Estime. Corrum. Brooks. Wright. Davis. That’s my order. I like this class. Solid, even good. Not much sizzle. But good players. All clustered closely together. I agree mostly 3rd/4th.
Remember Chris!!! We don't drink the bong water🤣🤣
1:18:00 It's funny Simms talks about the running backs and says 'listen to what you're saying about the prospects and then look at how you rank them'. I had the exact same reaction with Chop Robinson on his edge list. He should listen to how he's talking about him and then everyone after him
He said it tho chop is explosive but has flaws
@@GKA11111 It's the same argument as he names here about the running backs, though.
He essentially said Chop is a very flawed player with one elite trait. Then, he went on and on about how he loved the next guys. Go listen to it back.
how did yall not mention jake ferguson
guys Kyle Pitts was not a rookie last year, his rookie year he had over 1000 yards..It was the Offense (wanting to go to Bijon and Allgeier and his QB play was not good, he had an injury in 2022) Also a ton of the throws last year to Pitts were behind the LOS or within 5 yards.
You guys glossed over some of the recent injury stuff.
Chris...Call Ran Carthon and share your info on Bowers. Bill Callahan can take good OL players and make them better. Will Levis needs, NEEDS, Bowers on his team, in his arsenal. Plus...Bowers want to go to Tennessee. Perfect match.
Estime not as shifty as Jerome Bettis, but very similar with a 4.7 40yd. Also ND alum.
Much smaller
Surplant is a word and you were using it basically right
Roschon had a solid rookie season.
If youre feeding a horse hay, you may want to have 0 needles in the haystack maybe?
better make sure there’s no girls bff too
Bears fan here and I wish if Odunze is gone they would take Bowers and use him as a hybrid WR who lines up everywhere like Deebo only more
Brock ForTheShoe
Diamond in the haystack like 👹
I believe the word you were looking for was "supplementing" Simms.
Blake C IS THE BEST RUNNING BACKS TO ME IN THIS DRAFT😅MARK MY WORDS🎉🎉🎇😛
No Cody Schrader coverage Simms? You talk the SEC up so much then no love for their RBs.
Yeah, i think he will be good at NFL level, probs a 7th round pick. Other one i like is Dillon Johnson from washington as a short down back though think he'll be an undrafted FA
I get that he’s not super fast, but why doesnr anyone ever talk about Miyan Williams from OSU
consistently outperformed Tre’Veyon Henderson and has the dawg in him, idk
running back is a weird position
Was Chris singing All time low by Jon Bellion?
Simms needs to look into Cody Schrader he was a monster last year and he is simms type of guy
JOE BORROW WILL BE SO HAPPY TO HAVE HIM PERIOD🐯😛
The Raiders getting Blake Corum would be a dream for me. They lost Jacobs, so the void is massive.
With the jet’s situation… U could say the same with pass catchers.. Is the only other capable receiving threat is Mike Williams.. He has as much injury as both ots put together.. Brock u are hedging on helping both.. And Brock would be the best tight end Arod has ever played with.. it may unlock sumthing…
He knows which hole to hit. Kind of small but gets the job done… pause
See this is why I don't trust Simms. Cody Shrader is the leader with 1400 yards, 14td's andhe's not mentioned?
Mich RUNNING BACKS MIGHT GO IN THE FIRST ROUND!!!😂
Might want to calm the hype...wasn't Kyle Pitts supposed to be a generational player? Been relatively quiet since he was drafted.
Im rooting for Jonathon Brooks, idk he just has a cool name lol
I think Harbaugh takes Corbin rd.2 or Cowboys
Cincinnati Bengals WILL GRAB Brock IFS available❤😅
Is it even worth it to draft a rb in the first two rounds
Never to me… second round most if I have a key positions filled
513❤
What WRONG with the running back out of Michigan BLA!!!
Lloyd has the worst Vision of All RB in this Draft Class. You can See on Tape that He often dont See the better Option. I stay as far away from him in fantasy football as i can...
So from watching this my top 3 Backs are Marshawn Lloyd, Audric Estime and Trey Benson. I hope my Giants get either of the top 2, we need to replace and forget about Snakequan Bitchly
Jonathan Brooks is light years better than Lloyd or Estime….
@@brianmyers4444 no before watching this I had Brooks as my 6th rated RB he has 0 explosion
@@themoneyman1752 guarantee you Brooks and Benson go top two…..
@@brianmyers4444 I’m not saying they won’t go top 2, im saying regardless of we’re these players go in the draft they will all be better than Brooks in the NFL & I like Benson you see I mentioned him in my top 3 right, u said Brooks not Benson in your 1st comment so calm down
@@themoneyman1752 I mentioned Benson because you did and Brooks will be better than Lloyd and Allen…that’s why draft media has them going much later….you say Brooks has no explosion, that’s one of Allen’s big traits, no explosion…total plodder….
Interesting he thinks TE and RB are the weakpoints of the draft. I think its one of the weakest defensive classes in a long time.
Are you telling me simms only watched 3 tight ends? Bruh cmon it’s your job
quality over quantity this year. he’s a father and pod father
I swear Ahmed is just the “no fun guy” he could suck the fun out of any room or situation if he’s even within 100 yards. I don’t think you could find anyone that personifies “buzzkill” better than Ahmed
513❤😅
ahmed wants cows to choke on needles confirmed
everyone does, duh...
Ahmed floats the weak excuse right off the bat for completely whiffing on Devon Achane. 🙄
Kyle Pitts ain't the problem. Guy went for 1000 as a rookie.
Pitts stinks because he can’t block and no one has to respect it at the line of scrimmage. He’s basically a huge slot receiver and lacks as a possession threat
I couldn't believe like Half of Draft experts and fans just thought he was the best thing EVER,.
And I never saw it at all,. He's basically already a Bust for his draft position,.
Never take a TE in the Top 10,.------>>>>>>> EVER,..
And the guy can't block AT ALL,.
He's a slow, big Wr,. He'll probably get a bit better with CCousins but he's still not anyone's favorite player~
@@matthewmatt5285 he was a specimen to watch in college. He was definitely R1 draftable, but as a RECEIVER. There is nothing TIGHT END about how he plays.
@@mentionifwrong He's a slow wr then,.I mean he has Talent but when people wouldn't shut up about how they would take him over Chase and such I was just Eye-Rolling,.lol~
@@matthewmatt5285he ran 4.4 he isnt a slow anything , even if you see him as just a receiver he definitely isnt slow
@@manuelbeltran5935 I mean he's slow for a wr because he doesn't play fast,.We'll see if this yr he's better with Cousins~
Beware... Simms got bots.
I knew Kyle Pitts wasn't going to be all that because his college stats weren't very impressive for a guy that supposedly was going to be the best receiving tightend ever.
He’s just had bad qb play this year is his real measure
So you’re solely a stats guy
@@demeatreuseddins3944- He was also injured and misused a lot. Arthur Smith almost totally limited him to being a possession receiver, splitting him out wide and having him run insides routes with a DB on his back. He should've lined up at TE to exploit mismatches against LB's a lot more (especially in Man), running seams, corners, and skinny posts. Hell, let him make reads with option routes. It isn't hard, and now they have Cousins to make quick reads and decisions.
I still can't believe how any people were talking about Pitts over and over and over and putting him even at #2 overall,.
I was like NO FKING WAY,..You talk about the biggest Bust as far as how many people thought he was going to be the greatest TE Of All Time~
Bro I was at that miami game his rookie year with Matt Ryan under center. Pitts is that dude. Mariota and ridder were just not it.
Hating on our boy Kinkaid!! He was a beast all year, the team plan just didn’t give him a lot of targets early in the year.
IFS Brock THER AT 18 BENGALS WILL grab him😅
"Kincaid had some injuries and wasn't a big part of the offense up in Buffalo".....missed one game and had 73 recs. Wtf think before you speak
I love you guys, but stop with saying "right", alright?
Quit whining
Get a life Mike, and I agree quit and stop ur whinning..
Y
It's a conversational endnote. Get some cheese for that whine.
someone call the wwahhhbulance
Simms you need to stop the CAP...Bowers looks like he works at the grocery store...He doesn't look like he plays football.
God Ahmed always, somehow, proves himself to be even worse than I already thought, and I already thought he was the worst. I just don’t know how else to say it. In every single way you could possibly imagine he’s the absolute worst
