$15 for spoken vocals, meaning that the vocals are in the style of the Galaxy Aflame thing he did a while back! Gender can't be change since he will be doing it himself.

"Drop your gun, puny Imperial." The other Word Bearer demands, the unnatural distortion in his voice adding to the intimidating menace.
"Let's all behave very nicely." The last guardsman lays his mangled lasgun on the ground before the two Traitor Astartes. Despite the life slowly seeping out of him and the threat of a fate worse than death, he remains calm in the face of the enemy of Man.

The last guardsman, mortally wounded, is vaporised alongside his captors as the plasma grenade he had secretly kept close to chest detonates. Cadia stands tall and never accepts defeat.

just imagining the husk of Cadia, stricken and broken and bleeding its lava-life blood into the void, and upon its sundering surface the flashes and bursts of weapons fire from the relentless, defiant defence of guardsman who would rather be swallowed by literal volcanic hellfire than surrender to the Warp ... now that's imagery that takes this fiction to a level beyond. Brings a tear to my eye imagining the level of will it would take to face annihilation and not yield.
Dying in the explosion of a super volcano is a better death than being captured by Cultists or Chaos Marines.

Do you want an example of what Cadians are? Look no further than the humble Imperial Guard named Simpkin, who was left behind with three other Guardsmen and was facing superior firepower in the form of Word Bearers. Despite all this he didn't surrender, he didn't plead for his life, instead he talked to the Traitor Astartes in a calm and reassuring tone, telling them he was not a threat, only to martyr himself with a grenade to kill off the traitors in a blaze of glory. He gave everything he had to defeat the enemies of the Imperium, even his life. He is a perfect example of what it means to be a Cadian, to be a Guardsman, to be a servant to the Emperor.

Many tell of the Legend of Simpkin, a brave guardsman who, along with two other brave guardsmen, held the line against the vile heretic scum, allowing their brothers to escape and live to fight for the emperor another day. As they are surrounded by traitorous Astartes, they fought bravely, but tragically gunned down. Only Simpkin, bloodied and wounded fatally, stood defiantly against the heretics. Rather than be taken prisoner to be turned against the Emperor, he did what any other loyal guardsman would, and blew himself up, taking the traitors with him in death.

Meanwhile according to canon, the Blood Ravens are fucking jobbers, at least as far as the games are concerned, considering the canon ending to those games are the Blood Ravens getting their asses handed to them (at least Dark Crusade and Soulstorm, I say it's canon because they do nothing as the AI in that game, it feels very intentional).

Just want to remind everyone that the only reason cadia brock is because an whole god damn black fortress was thrown at the planet they needed 13 crusades to win and the only reason they won is because the forces of chaos has thrown what is effectively a whole moon at the planet and they only made humanity angrier and more zealous in the fight to purge theme
The way this song slowly builds, to an epic climax is the fucking best.
The Marines might be the portrayed as the heroes, but the Astra Militarum does the dirty work.

"I once had a friend, but he died in Cadia, where he called 'home'.
We were both orphans, scraping at the bottom just barely survived. For years, it kept us strong. Then came the recruitment. We saw our chances, and grabbed it.

Never had he been so happy when talking about his post. Not because of his job, but the planet himself. He even told me he wasn't born a Cadian, but should the time comes, he will laid his life to his home like a true Cadians. His jolly tones and cheerfulness about his new 'home' brought a smile to me, for he had gone through many things like I do, and he have found his home.
His last message came long after Horus's legions attack Cadia, and just before the world crumbled. He thanked me for everything before, and even until his death, his smile never left him. Now as he gave his life to his new brothers and sisters, to his new home, he told me to lived on strong, and one day I'll find my new home, new purpose, as he did. I never wept so hard in my entire life like this.
Now, with his wish as my drive, and as the Traitor Legion approaches, I shall stand true, side by side with my new family-in-arms, and to honor his wish. May the Emperor guide him, as he had served you selflessly. May the Emperor's light embraced him, just as Cadia to him.
