"You've been abandoned by your brothers, Imperials. Surrender." The Word Bearers commands coldly, the final trio of guardsmen left to their fate by their empire fire in response and are gunned down instantly. "Well then." He turns to his fellow, another Word Bearer traitor, "We gave them a choice. They chose death." One of the bodies begins to move slightly, despite being hit with a round from a bolter, the human clung to life. It was almost impressive. "This one is still alive. Many tell of the Legend of Simpkin, a brave guardsman who, along with two other brave guardsmen, held the line against the vile heretic scum, allowing their brothers to escape and live to fight for the emperor another day. As they are surrounded by traitorous Astartes, they fought bravely, but tragically gunned down. Only Simpkin, bloodied and wounded fatally, stood defiantly against the heretics. Rather than be taken prisoner to be turned against the Emperor, he did what any other loyal guardsman would, and blew himself up, taking the traitors with him in death.
A gaurdsmen faced by two hereitcal space marines bleeding out on the ground instead of giving up and letting himself be captured blew hinself up killing both of the heretics

RIP Cadia. May your still extant Regiments either reclaim you, or colonize and found a New Cadia that your legacy be never forgotten. Rest now, for your ten thousand year Watch is ended. You deserved better, but in a galaxy so Grimdark this was probably always to be your fate. But now for a new cry, “Remember Cadia”.
He stood before the darkness. He held his lasgun high, and fired into the shadows. He stood before them for 10,000 years. He may have lost his home, but it will be another 10,000 years before he fell himself, for he is the Cadian. He is the one who stands at the edge, holding the Eye at bay, keeping it in check. It is he who will stand alone in the end. FOR HE IS THE CADIAN GUARD! FOR THE EMPEROR!
Caleborn No,he just made what he is always doing,FAILING.He couldn't conquer it he just threw a Blackstone Fortress out of hysteria that he's about to fail another Black Crusade.
The PBG for ten thousand years the blackened, traitorous hordes of the ruinous powers have been beaten back not by the most elite of the emperors Astartes, but by mere men, abbadon made the mistake of trying to fight an enemy on their home front, which as history has taught us is a losing battle for the invaders because the soldiers know that they are the last line of defence between their loved ones and the nightmarish horrors that dwell in the warp, as such he will fight without remorse, mercy and to his last breath if it means saving all that he holds dear in this world
And a fucking Blackstone Fortress. Imagine if the Imperium had one. Failbaddon would've blown up on his throne in the eye of terror just by looking at it.
listening to this song and warriors of the god emperor it sounds like a space marine is the one singing, so i have this image in my head of a space marine telling a grand story about the Cadians and their sacrifice to a bunch of awed children and civilians.
"Cadian blood... There is no blood more precious." Hope to see more HMKids covers, I absolutely adore most of their songs. Their lead singer's voice is somehow the perfect balance between growling and melody for my tastes. StringStorm's "Astartes Rap" style is something I should get more used to... I see the lyrics were changed to fit the new lore. Bit sad, that. I preferred 40k to 41k.
Oh Immortal God-Emperor, who art on Terra, Hallowed be thy Throne; Thy Imperium stand; Thy Will be done, on Cadia as it is on Terra. Give us this day our daily ration; and Smite the Heretic for his Sin as we Deny the Daemon who trespass on the Gate; and lead us not into Madness, but deliver us from Chaos.
Just want to remind everyone that the only reason cadia brock is because an whole god damn black fortress was thrown at the planet they needed 13 crusades to win and the only reason they won is because the forces of chaos has thrown what is effectively a whole moon at the planet and they only made humanity angrier and more zealous in the fight to purge theme
Smiling: You broke trought the empire's most important chokepoint not smiling: You made the empire even more fanatic, they no longer need inquisitors and commisars to keep their men in line, hatred is now their motivation.
Although the sons and daughters of Cadia may be scatered, they are NOT broken! Although our home and mother is gone WE live on! We REMEMBER the virtues we stood for. We remember the eons of proud tradition passed down onto us by our peers. Cadia may be ash, all it's mighty bastions laid asunder. But there is ONE THING that shall NEVER be broken! To each of us on this day lies a single task. All that the emperor requires of you guardsmen is you stand in line and die fighting. This is what we do best. We die standing. The golden throne and Terra lie far from us here yet know that the emperor's hand is on your shoulders today. You have fought and displayed bravery and loyalty far above your calling as guardsmen. You have faced horrors none could imagine, and you will face them again. I am honored to have led you. Enemies of the Imperium hear me. You have come here to die. The immortal Emperor of all Mankind is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you. His guns will bring down the sky itself upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor is our greatest weapon. THIS IS OUR DAY FOR VICTORY
It is official after listening to this song so many times if I start collecting Warhammer 40k minis again I am getting Cadians, stuff space marines or others, I want the guys who while suffocating were shooting at Chaos warships with lasguns from tiny chunks of what was once Cadia, that is badass and the true power of humanity, the ability to, even when dying, say "Go to hell your asshole!" to our killer/s
Can imagine some absolute madlads of basilisk operators managed to snipe a chaos warship or two before going down. Imagine the embarrassment once the heretics return to the warp. "How did so many of you die at once?" "our ship got shot by artillery" "What?" "basilisk to be precise" "What the fuck?"
If you look around you will find elaborate fortifications and defense lines, I was here before the vox. I am proud all of your found this glorious vox through him though. Glory to Terra!
"I once had a friend, but he died in Cadia, where he called 'home'. We were both orphans, scraping at the bottom just barely survived. For years, it kept us strong. Then came the recruitment. We saw our chances, and grabbed it. For years we've been fighting alongside each others against countless horrors in the galaxy, earning ourselves quite a keep. But then we were separated, as he transferred to a place called Cadia, while I to another planet. We still managed to kept in touch after that. Never had he been so happy when talking about his post. Not because of his job, but the planet himself. He even told me he wasn't born a Cadian, but should the time comes, he will laid his life to his home like a true Cadians. His jolly tones and cheerfulness about his new 'home' brought a smile to me, for he had gone through many things like I do, and he have found his home. His last message came long after Horus's legions attack Cadia, and just before the world crumbled. He thanked me for everything before, and even until his death, his smile never left him. Now as he gave his life to his new brothers and sisters, to his new home, he told me to lived on strong, and one day I'll find my new home, new purpose, as he did. I never wept so hard in my entire life like this. Now, with his wish as my drive, and as the Traitor Legion approaches, I shall stand true, side by side with my new family-in-arms, and to honor his wish. May the Emperor guide him, as he had served you selflessly. May the Emperor's light embraced him, just as Cadia to him. And for the Emperor, I shall strike the heretics with his wrath, and fire of the Imperium to my enemies. FOR CADIA! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!" - Unnamed Guardsman

For that weak sack of flesh that you so gleefully mock is no supersoldier, no immortal warrior, no creature cursed by chaos like you. He is a man, an Imperial Guardsman drawn from some forgotten corner of the Imperium to fight for his species and for the safety of the people he loves.

While many lived in comford
They stood against them with their lives
It is their duty, their curse,

The horrors they held ran rampant
No force to push the darkness back

Their spirits now shine brighter
Fueled by vengeance, wrath, and anger
