Watching this video for the first time makes me sad and happy 🥺 Seeing Sabine laughing and ripping up the track, hearing her laugh, and just having fun! I only ever known her through her being on shows and UA-cam, but she just seems to give off a great vibe and I look forward to watching more videos I have yet to discover of her driving. She was always so positive and full of energy..
I've done a Touristfahrten in '08 in a 120 HP Suzuki Ignis (granted, properly track-prepped with stripped interior, cage, R-compound tires, proper track-grade diff that you would never run on the street) and, while I'm no 'ring expert, I'm a pretty good driver with some karting and HPDE experience from the united states. I had no problem passing all sorts of "fast cars". Lots of people running the 'ring are not lapping it particularly quickly.
That said, I got completely owned by the Ring taxi, so Sabine herself may have passed ME! (or it was one of the other ring taxi drivers)

Sabine was one of the very few things that made new Top Gear watchable. Hard to believe that she has gone.
Yup and that's what makes the Clarkson fanboys cringe so much: the fact that she was only barely in the Clarkson hosted version of the show but became a regular in the reboot.

It's hard to set up a fast lap around the 'Ring. Of course they're gonna dramatise it, but truth is, the girl is a pro racing driver, and she is well used to the track. They obviously exagerate it because it's TV, but the it's probably still very very fast.
Not at all that it's all about the driver, this golf is an amazing handling car... It's about a car this time.

You have to admit...part of the reason they are blowing by so many giants is that Sabine is such a good driver and the owners of the other cars probably aren't.
It looks fun as all hell to be in the passenger seat with her at the wheel!
There is something about Sabines death that makes me want to actually look at the new series, I've never liked it since the original trio left but now I'm starting to express an interest into actually watching Series 30 at some point.

@@Hermes8A8A yesterday the 24h race of Nürburgring Nordschleife (her hometrack) ended. Her Name was honoured on several cars, but Manthey racing with their Porsche GT3 has won, so in the end the win was for Sabine as well. Loved when the camera zoomed in on the winners car and her name was shown. Nice gesture in my opinion
