You just need to open the latches on either side so that the bellow can work and then you need to choose which notes you wish to have as a drone. In order to make sound through a shruti box you have to open a lever and provide the hole for the sound to go through. It works to play a dyad "power" chord , such as a root note with the fifth note above it- For example C and G. Or you could play a root note with the 4th note interval above it, such as an E with an A (which would actually be an A dyad chord)
Hi Mary, thank you for this wonderful instruction. Would you recommend your shrukti box? I am looking into buying and I'm not sure what to look for as it is my first. Thanks
Aloha~ I actually got my Shruti Box off of Etsy! You just want to make sure when buying that the Shruti box has a really good "bellow" and you can get a smooth/ tapered sound (that doesn't abruptly cut off at a certain point)- If you can listen to/play the Shruti box before buying it that always advantageous. Unless you get one from India (where they are of course cheaper), a good Shruti box will be $200-$400 dollars.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your knowledge❤
Thank you very much ! That was exactly what I needed.
LOVE! So beautiful! ❤
I enjoyed chanting and singing along! Fascinating to learn about the different seed mantras opening specific chakras. Much love from Australia ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Love to you Daniel!
Love so much!!!❤
Muchas gracias 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Hi Mary! Would you consider doing a video on how to play the Shruti box? I just got one and it is beautiful but I don’t know how to create the notes:)

Hi thank you so much for this video. Can I ask what notes are you playing on the shruti box?
