I have the GE you touched on. Most owners per social media cannot figure out how to tell when the compartment is full or empty by viewing the single clear bubble window. There is a row of three little square holes next to that window that maybe could be of help if we knew what those are used for. GE feedback has not been helpful.
I have a dishwasher with a similar rinse aid dispenser to the dishwasher you showed last with the white door. I fill it and it drains out in one wash. Do I need to replace it or get a service person over here?
which way means more rinse aid? mine doesn't have a more/less indicator on the knob(it's exactly like the ge profile you briefly showed) I gotta add more rinse aid after each load because it all gets used up
All dishwahsers are slightly different. We recommend reading through the use & care book. Here's a link to the owner's manual: media3.bsh-group.com/Documents/9001641455_B.pdf Visit section 9 for information on the Rinse Aid System. Hope this helps!
He said the water is not going to get to high enough temperature… The dishwashers without heating elements need the rinse aid. He combined one answer for two different dishwashers, it’s confusing. My dishwasher has no problem in heating the water or drying it, so I assume I don’t need rinse aid. I don’t like using rinse aid - chemicals that stay on the dishes.
Thank you, very helpful information. I am on well water and the rinse agent a must
OK so where is the video which gives the rinse aid setting requirement please?
Helpful. I didn't know appropriate setting level / purpose of arrow in KitchenAid rinseaid dispenser
Glad that this helped you out!

Mine has dots which gets bigger or smaller so there has to be some kind of indicator or search user manual online.
I have a KitchenAid dishwasher with a rinse dispenser similar to the last one you showed. I fill it and it drains out in one wash.
How do you adjust a Bosch 800 dishwasher rinse aid

@@Donsappliances thanks
My rinse aid is leaking. If I fill it up and shut the door it will just go and the light comes back on.
So, are you saying that it’s better to not rinse your dishes in addition to using rinse aid?

Horrible, we are making appliances worse due to environmental over regulation by the federal government
This is manufacturers cutting corners. The GE dispenser is completely dysfunctional.
