Thank you for this video. I was able to change out the soap dispenser myself. Your instructions were clear and easy to follow with step by step explanations. You saved me $250 for hiring someone.
Thank you so much for this video! Your instructions were very easy to follow and it was a fairly easy job. That said, I did find out why you were wearing gloves! One of those evil tabs got me as I was pushing the old unit through.
Clear instructions made it so easy to install. Just be patient when bending the tabs to get the old one out. You have to just keep working the tabs to unclip the unit. Thank so much. Saved me $$$
You saved me a lot of stress. Once I viewed this, I found the trick was adding the puddy knife to keep the clip from relocking. Just a minor cut on my hand. Wear Goves everyone.
Glad we were able to assist you with your repair!
Just got done installing the new soap dispenser. I used paper clips to keep tabs from clicking back in. Thanks for the clear instructions!
Glad we were able to assist you. If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know.
The instructions...small tab to release wiring harness and metal clip instructions were a life saver! Thanks so much!
Thank you, young Albert Einstein.
You are welcome.
Thank you for a clear, concise explanation. Saved me $$$.
thank you for the detailed video. this fixed everything wrong with our dishwasher. the only tricky part is the metal clips. it's a very tight fit.
You are very welcome! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Short, sweet, and great detail! Thank you!

Worked like a charm, thanks!
Thanks much. Have to replace this on my dishwasher and while getting the part was easy it was not clear to me at all on exactly how to do the replacement. Your video was concise and very clear.
Good luck with your repair. If we can help you with anything let us know.
This also worked for my little Frigidaire. Thank you!
I just finished replacing the soap dispenser in my dishwasher now and it seems to be working really well. Thank you so very much! 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
Glad we could help you out!
Great video easy fix but a little time consuming not too hard. Thanks so much 😅
This looks really easy . I'm about to go try!
Thx for the info and tips. Made it EZ.
Great video...thank you!
Awesome tutorial, saved me hours
It was a very easy install! I have the same dish washer but my wiring was a little different but that didn't really change anything. Make sure you push really hard to get the new unit to clip into the tabs.
Glad you were able to complete your repair! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Amazing video, so clear. Thank you 🙏 🙏
You are welcome!
Excellent video - ordered the part and just finished the job! The hardest part was futzing with those little metal tabs - ended up using a series of small screwdrivers to hold them open while I gradually worked the unit out of the inner door. Start to finish, MAYBE a half hour - including putting all my tools away……..👍
Glad you were able to complete your repair! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Thank you for this video!!
Thank you!
Wear gloves! I was not and when the old dispenser finally popped out my finger tip went through the piece of metal clipping that was holding it in.
100% this. Should have listened as I’m leaving ER now after getting stitches. 😂
Soft
Good job! Great vid!
Matt the legend!
Before you condemn the whole part, check first for mechanical reason that the door won't open or close, like soap deposit etc.
Is there a way to just replace the gasket? Ours works, just leaks.
Thanks for the video. I got most of the way through but I'm stumped now. My old detergent dispenser looks identical to my new one as well as the one in the video except mine didn't have two wires going to the solinoid, it was only one and it had this 4-pin looking hook up going to it. My new one has two small copper connectors with a hole in each one. How do I hook this one up? There's two wires that are attached to my door handle, too, that look like they would go on it. Is that what I use?
Hi did you get a response on this? I’ve got the same thing
@@lauraharrop6708 I never did. I paid attention to where each wire would connect and cut off the connector to expose the wires and twisted them through and around those flat pins
Wow you just help me I've spent four days trying to figure out how this dang thing goes in.. you don't by chance know how to put the spring back in the soap dispenser? I just found that lighting inside it and now the soap dispenser door won't open to release the soap
See if you can set up a donations tab on UA-cam so we can show our appreciation.
Followed as show and it was easy. Unfortunately I ran a load and now I have water leaking from the bottom of the door? What do you recommend?
you can clearly see in the video his is not filly clipped in either.the side clip and bottom clips not latched , there is a gap along the bottom of the cup
I cant get the new part to snap back into place. The top and left side clips are in place but i cant get the right side and bottom to clip in. Any tipa for that?
I bet this is whats causing others to get leaks at the bottom
What is your model number of the dishwasher? Is it just that the part is too big and that is why you can't get it to clip in?
@appliancepartspros it looks identical to the one in your video (purchased in 2015). I figured it out though. I ended up pressing the tabs in with a flathead screwdriver while pressing on the dispenser from the inside. Very tight fit. First wash was a success! Thanks for your video!
Glad you were able to figure it out! If you need more help in the future please let us know!

How to install the slider lid to the dispenser? Mine popped off.
What is your model number?
I just watched this video to take out the dispenser. My daughter accidentally put dawn in the dispenser. I got it all apart ans rinsed out but when I replaced the door and started a cycle, I noticed a leak coming from the right bottom corner. I removed everything again and replaced and still there is a leak. Can you give me some tips as to why this would happen? Thanks!
What is the model number of your dishwasher?
Why does it say pre wash what about soap for the regular wash? I am
So confused. My old one had two spaces
What is your model number?
Why can't I just replace the spring? It seems wasteful to replace the whole unit.
I discovered today that you can pop off the sliding detergent door, clean off caked detergent residue, realign the spring in the holes, and pop it back on (if yours was the same issue as mine-- residue caused it to stop working and then the spring popped out when I tried fixing it)
On my dishwasher, they’re not screws!! They’re like rivets with circular centers -how do I remove them?!
What is the model number of your dishwasher?
T-15 torx tool
@@johncarson804 Thanks-I got it. It’s all better now 😉
These are junk. Ours arrived with the run LED out (the completed LED works), and now the dispenser is out. It occasionally goes completely dead where the keypad and display go out. We use ours maybe once every two weeks (empty nesters) and this this has been nothing but trouble in the year and a half we've had it. Even our crappy Bosch we had before lasted 8 years.
Anyone else have issues with leaking from the bottom after doing this?
When you say leaking from the bottom are you referring to the bottom of the dispenser or where is it leaking?
@@appliancepartspros the door itself. The bottom of it drips onto the lower half of the dishwasher. Everything is lined up, seals etc still look and feel good. Everything lined up as I put it back together.
Thank you for responding though. You've already saved me 500 bucks.
