To me it's just amazing how much time and effort that goes into making these trails.
Tomas Söderström if you have an army that maintains it, you would be surprised at how much can get done in a little time!! Out we have a fairly big group that maintains trails and with just 3 days they completely transform, add new trails, and maintain. Definite skill are involved for sure!!!
All the trails you've ridden there just look like so much "swoopy" fun and are so well maintained. Love the water station maintained by the locals. What a cool touch.
Definitely some SWOOP going on!
I have lived in Bentonville for 1.5 years now, and have ridden a LOT. We still haven't hit every mile of the back 40. Loads of great sections back there. Then there is also Blowing Springs, Mt Kessler, Lake Leatherwood, and so many others. Hats off to the folks investing time and $ into these trails. They are fantastic. I miss riding in Utah, but these are also some world-class trails.
So much more to get riding on!
awesome video as always man! For anyone looking to visit Northwest Arkansas, this guy Dustin now runs a trail guide service in the area called Slaughter Trail Guides. He's an awesome dude (with some serious skills) who wants nothing more than to share his passion for our beautiful ozark mountain trails with locals and visitors to the area. Unashamed plug for one of my riding buddies. Also be sure to head over to GPP cycling for a tune up or repair. half a mile away from the dirt jump park (the rail yard) and Martin and Dustin can seriously wrench on a bike. not to mention they serve beer...need i say more.
Definitely some cool dudes!
Seriously, thanks so much for making the trip down here and busting out the camera equipment as well. We would certainly love to have you again! Its awesome to see your channel continue to grow and rightfully so. Youre an outstanding ambassador for what mountain biking is all about man. Including how active you are on your channel replying to comments and questions. i think it goes a long way towards making us feel even more immersed in the experience.

awesome, so nice to see locals provide water, and recycling bin, more places should be that way
Yep, pretty darn cool
We've upgraded to 1 monster cooler, a new Recycle bin and added a trash bin as well. H2O station on the B40 is still going strong! Thanks
thanks Brian for posting another great video, I will keep on watching while I'm recovering! always brings a smile to my face!
Glad to keep you jazzed and entertained on your way back to the trail! Get well soon, dude!
So nice!
Keep em coming!!
Awesome to see you riding my home trails and enjoying them as much as I do.
Thanks Casey! They were tons of fun
Nice job on those table tops!!! At least that's what they looked like from the video!!!
Thanks bud!
Great ride you had me on the edge of my seat rideing those edges. Be blessed
Haha, love those edges, wish it went on forever!
Hey Brian, This video is perfect and this is actually how I found your channel a month or so back. I was looking for info on the back 40 in Bentonville. I really appreciate you titling the video with a trail name and real location. This makes trip planning so much easier.
I hope you can make it out to KC, St. Louis and Knoxville at some point. Those places could really use some good videos.
I would also like to see you add a little more about the areas (non bike related) where you stayed, how the locals were ect.
Anyways keep up the good work. Subscribed.
So glad you found my stuff! Thanks dude
very nice video of the trails in NWA. Thank you.
My pleasure!
One of my FAVORITE trails to ride and nobody better to guide you than D Slaughter!! Great footage of this killer spot!
Haha, glad you enjoyed it Richard!
Another great video Brian, thanks!
Thanks Mike! This one was tons of fun.
Another great set of trails! I like it 👍
Thanks Edd, I wish those ledges lasted forever!
i realy enjoy to see your videos! Your my inspiration to ride
Thanks man! I love hearing that
looks dope - super flow
Yeah buddy
Fuken sweet trail Brian
All the trails there just seem so nice
I gotta take a trip to the states
Thanks again
Hell yes you need to take a trip to the States!
Awesome trails ! Great ride Brian !
Hey, I am looking forward to your New Zealand trip videos ! Someday I'd like to make it there.
Thanks so much!
I have got to get to Arkansas. That is one sweet trail. Kind of reminds me of some of my home trails here in GA
Yeah, get there!
An awesome video, as always! It made for quite the nice mid-shift pick-me-up today as well. Bentonville is definitely being added to my bucket list of trails to ride before I die! :D
Thanks Patrick! St George first! I think it'll be more fun, too
Oh, St. George is definitely first! I'm just slowly compiling a rather long list of trails to ride in my lifetime as I see them!
I'm so stoked for St. George! Maybe the other boys in the band will make it out there too; Alex and Seth!
Hello from NZ. Love your videos!
Thanks Barnaby! Just landed in Auckland and headed to the South Island for some shredding!
Back 40 is just another feather in the NWA cap. The place is crawling with great singletrack.
Yeah man, just a spiderweb of awesomness!
ahhh it looks so nice there! Too wet and cold here in Toronto to ride. Great video as usual!
Yep, it was a pretty great fall day!
Between your video, Seths Bike Hacks, and Single Track Samplers video on this place im sold. Booking my trip for when its too cold to ride here in Colorado. Looks like such a good town to ride.
We fully covered Arkansas! Woo pig sooey
shay rubino I live here and it's the only thing keeping me in the State
Man Bentonville reminds me alot of Hamilton Ontario, alot of nice MTB trails surrounding the city. Another epic ride
Interesting! Lots more in Canada for me to explore.
Oh yes as you know from Whisler BC is one of the mtb mechas of the world but Ontario and Quebec has a lot of amazing locations to ride. Also the Maritimes provinces have excellent cross country trails ranging from forest to open field Rockey cliff coastal trails that will send shivers down your spine but take your breath away with the views.
You sir have a life time of trails to explore just in North America now add the world and you would have to live a few lifetimes to get if all in lol
Haha I know! So many great trails out there, so little time
Fun video and looks very similar to my local trails. i can possibly see a 3 day trip n Ark next spring.
Nice, it'd be worth the trip!
Great videos dude! keep making stuff!:)
I'll keep riding if you keep watching!
Nice Video. The water station was great. Seems like a great Town.
Thanks Greg! It's definitely a great town.
good video as always
Thanks Martin, appreciate it!
well done loved it
Thanks Kiwi!
We live an hour north of here and ride the area nearly once a week. They average a mile a week of new trail being built. If you want XC type trails, intermediate jump lines, double black jump lines, 12' drops, jump parks....from Bella Vista to Fayettville to Lake leatherwood near Eureka Springs.... they've got it! Mtb Project can't even come close to keeping up with NWA trail building progress. There's ALWAYS NEW STUFF EVERYWHERE!
That's awesome!
awesome video...
Thanks man!
I already hit the like button when the video was buffering. Thats blind trust, isn't it? And i didn't get disappointed!
Haha, I appreciate it! You can always change your mind if it sucked!
Nice ride.
Thanks!
Another great vid, Brian. Is it me, or are you whooping fewer WHOOOs!? Keep enjoying yourself. I'm looking forward to the New Zealand trip. Have a blast.
Haha, this trail was a little less WOOO worthy. It wasn't that insane technical that I've been having withdrawls about.
love the new logo!
Thanks so much!
The Back 40 seems to be a great trail. They are doing great trail work in Bentonville.
They really are!
I like that guys wips, I finally just learned to do that but I don't know if I look that awesome yet!!!! Ha ha ha!
I haven't tried whipping yet, gotta get my wheels off the ground first!
BKXC lol yeah, that important, keep the great vids coming!!
Sweet video bro. I'm wanting to hit up Arkansas for a ride looks great and fun
Thanks Dude!
Trail Peddler dude it is I have rode those trials and they are hard
those ledges would make me nervous, good video.
Love the ledges!
nice trail, landscape looks like my hometrails :)
Nice! Where's your home trails?
Rhein / Main Area Germany! Nice Forests and rocky Terrain
Oh wow, awesome!
Nice destination.
Really cool place!
Sweet!
Thanks Mike!
Do you realize how lucky you are riding all these beautiful trail systems..and with a local guide every time ?.. Man, that's quite the sweet deal ya got going there. Btw, these Arkansas trails look so flowy.. Nice.
Grateful every day to go do the thing I love and have so many people love it!
Awesome video man! I live right by blowing springs and ride these trails every chance I get. That last rock ledge you went down is directly behind my house. If you would've looked to the right you would see the back of my house! Subscribed! Come visit again soon!
Oh wow!! Glad to have you along.
Hey Brian your videos have given me a bunch of road trip ideas. I recommend a giant anthem sx for a test ride I have one I really like it.
Joe Mattingly I agree. BKXC you should definitely test ride that Anthem SX
Awesome, that means I'm doing my job!!
BK XC and MTB yum yum collaboration surely???
Yep yep, it'll happen!
awesome news , safe journeys in NZ!
pain 👍🏼 pleasure 👌🏽
Haha yeah buddy
Just ordered one of the new logo sweatshirts. Got to have something cool to get all dirty in the mud and snow. Damn winter...
Awesome! Thanks so much dude
That is some super nice trail work being done out there. I am going to be planning a trip out this spring or early summer. Did you notice or here of any cool campsites for trailers and RVs? I have been looking and have not noticed anything in Bentonville yet. Oh, and where are the other two Amigos at? Is this where Alexander dislocated his shoulder? You guys are doing Super Rad stuff. I hope this continues on and on and on. Keep Living-Life-Loud!!
I was not on the lookout for any campsites, but I bet they're around. Seth had already gone home and Alexander was hurt! Thanks for the love!
you should produce some "yeah!" t shirts brian
Haha not a bad idea, dude!
Bro, how do you get such good footage... always amazed at how well your picture comes in. You're vid's are just awesome! Need to figure that out. Have fun in NZ! Be safe!
Thanks dude! All my settings are in the description, give 'em a try!
I can recommended you to go visit Singltrek pod Smrkem in Czech Rebublic. Great trails:)
Nice! I think I've heard of that one!
over 60km of nice tracks if I'm not wrong:) Hope to see a video or maybe ride it together. Who knows:)
You should do A-Line and some of the more prominent downhill trails at Whistler!
Not much of a jumper!
BKXC You are now! :P
Love your videos! What grips are you using in this video?
Thanks
Thanks dude! Link in the description for the grips!
I live there!
Looks like an incredible trail system there in Bentonville! Definitely going to make a trip there soon. Quick question: What is your go-to gimbal? I'm guessing you've used a few different ones.
Right now I'm on the EVO SS and it's been good. I'm hoping to make a long video about the various pros and cons of the gimbals I've used.
Nice video as always Brian, Does anyone know what pack Dustin was sporting?
Thanks man! I don't!
Sorry if I missed it. What time of year was it? What temps?
#BKXC fever
☝️🎅 Ooooooh yeah, brother!
Great riding man! I was out there yesterday. Did you guys make it out to coler?
Nope, I think Koler (?) was only open for a little while and then shut back down so they could keep building.
BKXC Yea it's only partially open. Word was they were going to close it back down until the spring but I think things have changed and they plan on leaving part of it open. It's a blast and my favorite trail system at the moment.
Awesome!
You passed my Best friends house!!!
thats awesome people take pride in there trails putting out water station hope your wrong and no one screws it up for the rest
Yeah, pretty nice stuff!
Have you ever ridden flats? If so did you like them and why did you choose clips instead?
Started out with flats and moved to clips. I like how I'm one with the bike
I’ve walked that trail before
Do you use crank boots Brian? To save smashing them on rocks etc?
Yep yep!
Been following your videos for months but only just subscribed. Can you tell me what size stem you use
Martyn Price it's in the recent bike check video or you can check it online just search up his bike model
35 I think
BKXC cheers dude
Are those ESI grips on your bike?
WolfTooth Fat Paw. Link in the description!
another good video brian 👍🏻 only 378 more subs to go 😜
Thanks dude! You were definitely one of the first 10 or so subscribers, right?
sure was, i believe i was 8th
That's so damn cool!
This ride was on December? I'm planning to visit for vacation trip and want to know the best time to go.
I think it was October, Strava should be in the description
BKXC ok, thanks buddy ✌🏼
Correction on your location: the Back 40 is in the city of Bella Vista.
I thought this bloke Dustin was gonna take us to Phil !!!! What have ya done with Phil ???
Phil's in North Carolina, gonna be a few videos until he appears!
Hey Brian,
are the GPX-Files of your Trails available for everyone ?
I should have the Strava in my description (if not tell me) and from there you can plan a route on Strava, download my gpx (I think) or plan a route on MTBProject or Trailforks.
From what I understand, you'll probably want to stop back through the area... there has apparently been a LOT of development!?!? :)
I've heard the same thing!
if u add a week to travel ( by train then car From nyc) and go riding would u attempt to go to bentonvile , moab , or stay east coast, just to get back to work on monday ( NEw job). by the way u jumping now ? nice video too.
If I had a week to travel I would do Moab. Lots of stuff out there and it will be nice riding there sooner than the other spots.
even if your traveling by first train from NYC to Chicago and from there by car to Utah
Can ppl ride their electric Sur ron bike on these trails?
I'd heard you talk about Bentonville in a couple of your Redemption vids, which is like 15 miles from the little town where I grew up. Nice to know I've got some legit riding in my area. Should be getting my first FS bike in a couple weeks. I know the internets are full of advice, but do you have any words of wisdom or warnings before I drop 2-3 grand on a bike? Primarily for me, it's been the "how much suspension do I need" question. Watching you guys blast down hills is very inspiring, but is it safe to assume I won't be riding that like for a matter of years? I go pretty hard on stuff like skiing and snowboarding, so I'm hoping I'll grow fast. I don't think I want anything less than 120mm, but even that is probably a little low, no? Your Bronson has around 150mm, correct? I'm eyeing the Commencal Meta AM series for something within my price range that has 150-160mm travel.
Bronson is 150 and I wouldn't ever want anything less for a trail bike.
Thankya, sir!
Looks nice. I wish you would post a waypoint or track file. I have no idea how to get to this place. Your Strava file is not a lot of help finding this in google maps
Checked out Trailforks or MTB project? Strava should give you a starting point, and there are a lot of signs. Big map at the trailhead. Talk to the bike shop in town. Maybe the bike club does a weekly ride out there.
I am in Pisgah Forest, NC. Was just wanting to add it to my google maps places for a future trip.
Question: If you had to be stuck in one city for the rest of your life and could only ride the trails within an hour radius, where would you live?
Hahaha, if being close to my family was out of the picture then I would probably live in Truckee. But damn, where I live right now is really nice riding year round.
That's one of the places where I was thinking, but not sure how much I would enjoy the winters.
Skiing is fun, shoveling snow isn't
👍📹👍📹👍📹
Thanks Yaron!
What is your own personal bike?
Bronson, should be a link in the description, if not it's in the newer vids
@markemiller tune in at 2:55
Amazing trail, very nice single trail. I will check strava for more info. Your the best Brian;)). Send me please some good weather from where you are=)). In my country is a cold weather and snow-ish:))
I'll do my best voodoo spell for some heat! Thanks so much Tudor
Back 40 is better and longer than what's shown here now. FYI If you go counter-clockwise like shown here it feels like you're always climbing... in my opinion anyway. =)
Nice!
What shoes is your buddy wearing? They are cool...
Ignore the msg - Found them - Mavic Crossmax XL Pro (2016)
And thanks for the great vids.....Not a lot compares distance wise in the UK - Certainly the downhill decent distances you have mentioned....e.g. 11miles....Thats dream world here....
Glad you're enjoying them!!
What's your favorite trail so far?
Of all time? Spain, I think it was day 2 from my Backcountry Pyrenees series
#BikeBentonville
What is your name on strava? I don't see it.
Never mind.. Found it! Keep up the good work!
Thanks man!
Bella Vista not Bentonville
Dude, I think your videos are really awesome, but why don't you record in 60fps. That would be so much better.
Some of my older videos are in 60fps and they look like shit!
Can we get a hour long special at 30k?
Like me talking for an hour?
Walmart Brothers Put hundreds of Thousands of Dollars to make the trails and stimulated the bike shops in the areas, (That's What Ive Been Told) That's cool as well.
If Walmart wanted to, they can bring in Bikes to their Stores that would Directly Hurt Bicycle Shops as we know them. I own one my Self.
Yep!
For the record the Back 40 is in Bella Vista, not Bentonville.
Good call!
Do you like salsa bikes
Haven't ridden one yet!
I really recommended you rent one or sample one for a video there very nice bikes
Nice!
How do you afford and make money to go all these places and 10000 dollar bike
Nicholas Aref a long time office job and lots and lots of commitment
Yep, what Michael said!
