I have been trying for two decades to find this cartoon! So finally I just Googled, "Man cooks dinner for a date it looks gross so they eat everything." Lol! That's all I remembered. Scarred me as a child.
I’m 31. I have finally found this clip after me giving up for years trying different google searches that made me furious. This is a masterpiece - and it will live with me forever now! ❤😂🎉
One of my favorite cartoons from what a cartoon 🥰 I wonder just how good that meal was they way they tore it up. It was so delicious they ate the plates and table
Another thing I like is that, despite Casanova's attempts at cooking seeming to be a flop, he ends up cooking a meal delicious enough to make Doris happy. A win in the end!
From Sweden. This has to be one of the most iconic catroons classics ever! First watched this on Cartoon Network with my brother in 1999. We sat with our mouths open the whole time, laughing our heads off.
I think I’ve remembered watching this pilot cartoon when it came out years ago. Man just watching these old CartoonNetwork pilots just brings back such nostalgic memories when you were a kid. CartoonNetwork in their 90s were so creative in their prime. Do they even show pilot cartoons nowadays?
It's like a mix of Rocko's Modern Life and Garfield. The guy has a very Rock-esque design and the girl looks like she came from Garfield. I also like how they both have a flaw they're trying to hide from their signifcant other. He can't cook and she's a neat freak.
When I was about to read the comment section I was expecting things like wtf is that and this is just nightmare fuel but al I see is just Omg this was my fav cartoon and people just giving complements… just WTF
Although this cartoon is kinda gross, there is a certain lesson to be learned here in real life, you have to try foods that you are not used to eating before not liking it, who knows you might end up liking the food
And if only cartoon network let something new and risky to them actually become a full show they might of liked the ratings but sadly not everyone gets the lesson
I confess personally, I didn’t like it, I’m a Russian myself, but I don’t call you stupid compared to other guys from this country because you like it. If you like it you can watch. But it seems pretty disgusting to me.
I’ve watched this countless times and it’s a cartoon that’s stuck in my head for YEARS. Something about it is so memorable and engaging.
I'm 32 and tho remembering it just now, was one of my fave short cartoons as a kid
This memories just popped up on my mind today. I'm 31 y.o

That's why it got banned in '99.
I'm 32. I grew up in the 90s and it was one of my fave short cartoons
3:01, screaming like Rocko.
3:55, gasp like Rocko.
the fact that he had all the ingredients. wow.
I love how no matter how old/modern cartoons are, the characters always have Turntables in home
I Used to Watch This as a Kid, This Is Also The First What a Cartoon! Short That I Saw, Also (R.I.P. Mary Kay Bergman, Who Played Doris In This Short)

MAN, this takes me back.
This would have made a great series. Amazingly funny and great animation, you did a superb job. Truly a gem from the good old days of Cartoon Network
Im 32. I loved this short cartoon as a kid. Im glad to find it.
I remember watching your work on Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls, and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
One of my favorite cartoons from what a cartoon 🥰 I wonder just how good that meal was they way they tore it up. It was so delicious they ate the plates and table
The animation style reminds me of Ed, Eddie, and Eddy.
Another thing I like is that, despite Casanova's attempts at cooking seeming to be a flop, he ends up cooking a meal delicious enough to make Doris happy. A win in the end!
The short was later banned from airing because of the scene when the main character accidentally cut off his finger. It would scared the kids.
@@jwelch5742could that be considered a tv-pg or a tv-14 rating
