HB Barnum produced their early tunes. I loved his arrangements. My favorite was I'll Always Love You....
That was a great album. It took me years to find a copy. Lonely Drifter with the waves crashing was my favorite and Crack Up Laughing. I guess you had to be from Cleveland to be hip to the original Ojays!

Always thought it was very cool that Bobby Massey not only was included , but even got some time to speak.. Early members have a way of being left out. I thought it was awesome to see the Dells bring the daughters of the original lead singer ( who died a decade earlier and left the group in 1960) on stage with them to accept his award when they were inducted into the Hall of Fame.
I disagree in that day and age that style of song wouldn’t work with Eddie’s voice in my opinion… Eddie’s voice is too soulful and gospel sounding Walter is smooth and clear more pop music sounding again just my opinion
