@Bush 911 the shadows are pre calculated at the first start of the map/track in trackmania forever.
this can take quite a lot of time to do when there are many objects on the map.

yep... same here. I think there must be some kind of rewind system which gives you the opportunity to build "on fly" with rewinding just a short section to the past. Can't imagine, he (they) would start again and again from the very start and add another little another piece, and than back to start etc...

Like, this is actually scary to watch when I realize how much time, dedication, and sheer genius it took to make this monstrous piece of art a reality.

I just happen to know exactly how much effort it would take for someone to REPEAT this, much less to DEVELOP it.
This is something that should've never existed. No kidding. A mere process of watching this video tears one's sanity apart. Any attempt to try to COMPREHEND it anyhow destroys it completely.
The author of this video must receive some hefty award. Then this video must be removed permanently, moved to some safe and secure place. This isn't even an 'art' or a 'masterpiece'. This is something we would classify 'an act of god'.

while it's not the same as Dali's art, one can draw a simple parallel between this and his art. You need to understand it to enjoy it and appreciate as art.

It has one of the most dedicated communities I've seen. Tried building a few regular maps back in Trackmania Forever, it was very daunting and block placement is really limited, so I can't even put into words how blown my mind is to witness this monstrocity :D

That driver is most likely dead from the amount of g-force acting on his body
But overall, this track is amazing! Major respect for the creator!
Elektrikid 1400 woulsnt be that much g tbh maybe a top of about 15g but thats survivable for several seconds and longer with a g suit on, its just alot of rolls and loops which are all low g, the thing that has a higher chance of killing him is the concussion and brain damage from the quick changed in direction

Imagine building track, nearing the end, you go for a test ride to see where to place next block, 10 minutes into pressing forward, you sneeze and miss seeing where the car crashed. Back to pressing forward for 10 more minutes, this time hoping you don't accidentally lift finger at 9 minute mark...
thats why i used a lead piece to hold the forward button while i pissed about on other things

maybe adding block by block.....if the first ten work its not that hard to adjust the 11th it just take shitload of time..if it took 5minutes per block for the remaining 21989 blocks...like all my gaming time on steam together.
As you have to start at the same speed with the same angle and everything, i guess he had to do it again every time because in the game there is nothing to do that. I dont know if a mod exist to do it but probably not so yeah even more impressive !
@@Arcsinx You called it. He had to play the map over and over with every new flip or block placed to see if it works... Well mostly on landings because ramps are just a random thing... You work with what you get.
