    Have you tried out the PID zero function of sungrow inverters? Is it really helpful?

    I worry about hail damage to panels. Have you seen this happen often? Have you covered this before in a video?

      Hail has never caused damage to any of our systems. We have not covered hail in any video because it seems so rare. Theoretically it can happen of course, but you would need to be very unlucky.

      Thanks. I asked because we have had 2 roofs smashed in 10 years. One in Chiang Rai and one in Chiang Mai. Both were cement sheet and needed over 50% of sheets replaced. Hail stones above 5cm both times. Not sure if solar panels would survive hail that size?

      Wow. First off cement roof is very brittle and the lowest quality roof available. Dont use them unless for a carport or something like that. There might be something special in regards to weather conditions in your area that makes hail more common there compared to other places. I would talk to solar owners in your area for their experience. One way to mitigate the risk is to install the panels at a steeper angle. Makes impact less risky. But its a very peculiar situation that there is not much to compare to because its so rare.@@SandmanTH

    I am in Korat. Can the Sungrow 5k and 6K be used with 48 volt batteries (topsun 48 volt lifepo4)? I want to replace a TBB RioSun 6k. The main problem with my RioSun is while it says 6K, it has a 90 amp max for the PV (MPPT) from the solar. This then limits it to about 4.65Kw (89.68 Amps x 51.862 volts = 4.65kw). This is much less than 6kw that I thought it would put out. Of course, I would never try to install it myself.

      This Sungrow model you cant attach batteries to. Inverters that can attach batteries are called hybrid inverters and they are a different category.

      @@ChaweewanGroup Thank you very much!!! Any suggestions for a reliable inverter?

      @@ChaweewanGroupthis is definitely a hybrid inverter

      @@Tony-fl3rl We have installed this inverter over 20 times, so hopefully we should know. This is not a hybrid inverter. The hybrid inverter has the same design, but the connections and tech is completely different and more expensive. And the hybrid model name starts with SH, not SG.

    Do you cover all areas of Thailand?

    • @ChaweewanGroup
      @ChaweewanGroup  7 місяців тому +1

      Our normal area is every province north of and including Hua Hin. We can make exceptions for big battery systems.
