Everyone knew Giannis was the clear cut MVP, he doesn’t have an AD level type player on his team and led them to the best record. In Jordan’s case, he led the Bulls to the best record, while leading the league in scoring but Malone won MVP.
I love this show but their criteria for goat status is hinged completely on winning rings. It’s their only argument. Chris actually put the PFs in order from least rings to the most when talking about where AD could end up.
As an individual player, LeBron is better than Jordan but all they fall back on is Jordan winning 6 championships. And anyone else they decided to put in the goat conversation they do the same with just ring comparison. They need to come up with better criteria.

Thank You For Your Service! I get what you’re saying but here’s my take on it. Jordan actually had more of a legit case for winning MVP than LeBron having a case to win. So you kind of understand why Jordan felt the way he felt, but with LeBron he wasn’t going to win it in any event because Giannis’ case was too strong.

Durand Peavley They forced that narrative and people blindly followed. LeBron has an AD level player, Giannis doesn’t, LeBron and AD led Lakers to the second best, Giannis led the Bucks to the best record. Talks for LeBron didn’t get started until the second half of the season but Giannis was producing and the clear favorite for the entire season.
@@suntansuperman26 go look at the odds at the beginning of the season...the Bucks were expected to be the #1 seed in east, the Lakers were projected to finish 4th in the west....just because u can now look back and say "well of course they finished 1st" in retrospect, it was not the expectation at all.
Giannis has tons of holes in his game where Lebron played damn near flawless while seamlessly transitioning as his teams full time point guard and leading the league in assist for the 1st time in his career.
Durand Peavley I understand that but when things were coming together Giannis became the MVP favorite from early on in the season and kept up his level of play throughout the season. Giannis isn’t as good as LeBron but his regular season efforts did warrant him being the runaway favorite and winning MVP.
