      i disagree bc if you know basketball you know how each great from each era how their skills would transfer over and to look at the competition they had is unfair as well bc it’s not their fault god blessed them with unique physical attributes

    • @jameshoops10
      @jameshoops10 4 роки тому

      Jay Hobbs lol that is the opposite of what i said, im saying any great from any era you can understand how great they could be any era bc if you can comprehend basketball at the level then you would know for example if you took wilt chamberlain from the early 50s and put him in today’s game he would be almost like giannis or even bill russell as well bc they were freak athletes at their size & during their time they were the best athletes plus the evolution of today’s game would give them more freedom and another example is if you took lebron and put him the 80s he would dominate like no other bc that level of athleticism was never seen before back then and being physical wouldn’t help it would actually show teams can’t defend him

    • @jameshoops10
      @jameshoops10 4 роки тому +1

      Jay Hobbs you can’t prove or quantify someone’s psychology bc you don’t know them so what you are using is an unknown variable im only looking at what the player does on the basketball court and if you can’t understand that then that’s a personal problem you gotta figure that out

      Is it? Greatness is defined by level of risk. This is why some Boxers move up and out of their weight class and fight bigger guys. The bigger the risk/challenge, the greater the achievement. So which is greater, staying with the same conference, the same team and with whom many regard as the 2nd best player of his time OR leaving a championship team that you just won a ring with, going to a much lower performing team AND THEN WINNING A RING WITH THAT TEAM, and then leaving that championship team and going to a lower performing team who hadn’t seen the playoffs in 10 years and then be in your way to winning a ring with THAT team. You see, under these circumstances 4>6. It’s all about the level of risk. The greater the risk the greater the accomplishment.

    Why does this media need to keep praising lebron, the biggest quitter and ring chasing mercenary, who needs to keep quitting and hopping from one team to another to keep crying and begging so many franchise star players in their prime and proven veterans to team up to try to chase an easy ring rather than trying to compete against the best? Did we forget the essence of sport is competition, not quitting and crying?
    That is why Barkley calls lebron out as the least competitive star player we have ever witnessed.
    The worst of all, Lebron still keep losing every year despite of all these quitting, hopping, crying and begging. Keep in mind that lebron should have been 1-8 without the two bailout by Ray Allen in 2013 and adam silver in 2016. The only possible legit championship was against young and inexperienced okc in 2012 short season.

We could not give Lebron his credit because we all love MJ, if the next generation of talking heads were to take over the airwaves, who witnessed Lebron do his thing for 17 years, they would say he's the GOAT. it's the body of work. the totality of it. maybe MJ had the higher apex of success but in a short period of time, while Lebron has a high apex for the longer period, it was not just as high as MJ's.
    And to be honest, teams back in the 80's and 90's were not as athletic and crazy as the generations from the 2000's and 2010's. We say "if MJ had this scientific advancements, he would have done this and that..." the analogy should actually favor Lebron in this point of debate, why? because this means Lebron faced athletes and players that uses the same science to advance their abilities/skills and body. which means tougher competition. right? MJ's era's science was not that developed, so he became successful because he trained and became better than other players, plus he was coached in a very good system. a system that benefited his skill set. (like Kobe). Lebron had different coaches, different systems. Going back to the "science", we compare MJ's competition vs Lebron's, old science vs new science, it's like comparing an analogue cellphone (the chunky looking phones) vs an Iphone, which has better performance? the debate should also apply to Lebron vs MJ. BUT WE WONT DO THAT BECAUSE WE LOVE MJ. That's that. We are stubborn. we only like to hear MJ is the GOAT because we grew up watching him.

People "poo poo" it like it's so irrelevant but whine and cry when a coach they like or think was good for the franchise gets fired. If coaching is not that important then why do franchises go thru so many before finding the right one, bc it matters!! It's not the end all be all but it's a huge factor.

He didn't even make the postseason his first two years and never had to face teams as good as the Celtics or Pistons in the EC during his first 7 years. The closest teams are the mid 2000s Pistons which traded Ben Wallace with a different HC and the 2010 Celtics.
