Loggins and Messina are a American rock-pop duo consisting of Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina who achieved their success in the early to mid 1970s. Among their well-known songs are "Danny's Song" and "Your Mama Don't Dance".

Followed them in 70' .Such a fantastic " live" Group, excellent musicians and of course Kenny's dynamic vocals..they had great chemistry which carried over in their live shows..Also they inspired me to get my 1st Ovation acoustic.. lol..miss them guys !! Thank You Loggins and Messina !
I listen to the live when I was a teenager, starting my life as an artist, drawing.......I saw them in 74 then 75 in sacramento......Jim Iead made me want to play guitar .......I swear his clean lead is still in my head I've been playing for 45 years now! THANK-YOU...JIM and KENNY

they are such nice guys as well as being great musicians. my favorite concert ever. still play them regularly and i'm seventy-nine year old. their original band was amazing.

I worked at Columbia Records when all of this was happening ... in the studio for so many early recordings ... Jommy & Kenny were such gorgeous young men ... and I was just out of high school. I fell in love with Messina and still think he is extraordinary. What fabulous memories this brings.
This is one group I regret missing! Nothing better than a live Angry Eyes. That's my shower song. Thank you Debbie for the intro all those years ago.
Saw them live twice in the 1970s--excellent musicianship in that band. Full of energy. Loggins is right about those players, especially Clarke. A synthesis of genres.
They had a powerful influence on me musically. Being a multi-instrumenilist as well all the colors they came up with in L&M was astounding.

I saw them when they were a new band. I had no idea who they were but guys I knew recommended them, they came to my college (Oberlin), so I went. They were new enough that the had to repeat Vahevela as an encore, not having enough material yet. This was just before they broke big. So the first time I ever heard Your Mama Don’t Dance was live in a theater with fewer than 1500 seats.
I saw them at that same concert.
Two of the coolest cats ever. Saw them in at The Grove in Anaheim for the Sittin In Again Tour. Great show! I wanted to dance down the isle during the instrumental portion of “Be Free” I mean it really moved me and I hadn’t heard that tune in so long and to hear it live was something else. Just Awesome
I didn't make the connection between Jim Messina and the movie Evil Roy Slade. I just watched it again recently. The comedian in the movie is John Astin from the original Addams Family.

I really liked when they did Angry Eyes.
In "Angry Eyes" I've always loved when they make the sound of taking a dig at whoever and make that sound like a bird. Have you ever seen crows who notice that the smaller birds have found some food? And they approach the smaller ones and lift their wings at the smaller birds and do it repeatedly until the smaller birds recognize that there's a new game in town. So cool! Guys and dolls. And the birds make fun of the humans.

Joni Mitchell hated her first album because Crosby had her sing into an open grand piano with a bunch of microphones around the strings to record her voice reverberating from them. Unfortunately they ended up with a bunch of background noise and tape hiss. Fortunately they cleaned it up and remastered it in 2021. It sounds a lot better than the original.
Wow, I thought that there was something different about the way he looked there. Kenny was such a good looking guy. I wonder what made him think he needed it. It looks a little weird.
Jim, on the other hand, looks great - age lines and all.

They blamed "budget" . . . I think the message (the music scene) was 'not' $$ and so everyone claimed "budget".
The Mediterranean STILL scares some people.
Kenny Loggins' botched cosmetic surgery should serve as an example of how horribly wrong it can go...of course there is the possibility that he actually wanted to look like an entirely different person...if that is the case, then it was a huge success.
Kenny used to be SO hot. What a shame he decided to "have some work done" on his face.
Hello. I think it's rather difficult for Men as well as it for Lady's... in the industry.. Aging isn't a good thing ..especially when you are trying to stay afloat..compete with younger artist's.

I think my point was that he was handsome as a young man and he could have aged well if he allowed himself to; a little nip and tuck here and there with a proficient cosmetic surgeon if he felt the need. One the other hand maybe he wouldn't have aged well, but my opinion is that he looks dreadful now and it's a shame.
Had a high school that turned me onto L&M and Scuba diving both became a huge part of my adulthood!!.💙🩵💚
